Why do you have to flip the old filled with dust air filter on the engine? Also, don’t you have a white piece of rag to clean the throttle body? Hear of SeaFoam?
+preet singh Thanks. Good to know. Do you feel any difference with the HPS hose? Both HPS and Joe Z come with the hose alone or also can be ordered with the box and filter?
I wouldn't use any filter that is high flow since it allows more dirt and junk to go through into the engine. Otherwise stick with oem or go with wix filters since they filter better and keep your engine in better shape.
I shall never touch a k&n anything ever again I had a k&n cone destroy two air mass sensors I did the maintenance on it once a year like your supposed to meh...
K&N is pretty open about the fact that their filter allows more airflow but consequently that also means more debris getting into the motor. I run other air filters instead. I can live with a slight power loss.
d1sturb3d, yep, had one in my FX35. Noticed in my oil changes, oil was darker than usual. Then i held up the K&N filter against the sun, and there are tiny holes all over, which DOES allow more flow, BUT at the expense of allowing more dirt as well. Three it away. Went back to stock. Oil was cleaner after.
You're supposed to oil the k&n filter before use so it will collect dirt. Throttle body cleaner should be sprayed into the throttle body liberally, not just wiped on the blade with a rag.
+TeutonicSpeedracer Gotta give equal force for your initial comment :P obviously everyone over oils them anyways so the first go around its nice for folks to see what a misted in oil filter should look like. it kills me how many folks hate on the K&N when its not the K&N that's the issue. MORE OIL has to be better!
super nice DIY and detailed! thanks for making these videos!
Great production for the community. Keep 'em coming!
Nice vid. You say "gonna go ahead" a lot LOL

Nice video!! 👍👍 I just bought the F-sport cold air intake for my 12 IS350 F -Sport and I'm about to do all that this weekend
Goodluck! take your time
Thank you!
Any Performance Difference With K&N Drop In Air Filter????????
TOPTRADER007 it felt a lot smoother but performance gains? Doubt it
Hey what intake tube is that?
Its a JoeZ Intake arm.
Where did you buy the Joe Z intake?

it's not a flap, it's a throttle plate. 👍

Great advice… Any more top tips ?
Oem or k&n wont make no difference

Got this filter bc of this video
At how many miles did you change the air filter at? I have an 08' ISF and its about to break 50K miles
Id do it every 30k or when dirty.
are you happy with this k&n? how is about engine noise after instal it? can you feel a difference in a cabin when rev?
Not really much difference in terms of feel or sound. I guess mentally its good for you knowing thats new a new filter lol
Hey Mate, you should consider to Black out your Chrome bits..It'll look niceeee...

hey genius! the K&N comes oiled!
My bad. It's been a while.

+TeutonicSpeedracer ***misted-in-oil air filter lol
TeutonicSpeedracer oil is already on the filter when you get one. Educate yourself more before making misleading comments like this one
your throttle body is about to get really dirty with that K&N
Good for better gas mileage
