Just let you guys know, you have to turn the air circulation to internal mode first. If you force to open the vent at the cabin filter, you will pay 500 bucks to repair it in the dealership. : )

This has been a giant debate for a long time in the Lexus world. On the OEM filter the arrow faces up, aftermarket cabin filters it’s air flow direction not orientation so the arrow on the filter faces down
The word "up" on the Toyota parts and filter has nothing to do with air flow direction. If you buy a different brand that has arrows indicating air flow then the arrows should point down not up. Think about it. The blower is directly below the filter. If dirty incoming air went through the blower before passing through the filter then the blower would be full of dirt and debris. Does that make sense?
Do you have a video that shows how you hooked up the ipod in the glove box? I would like a tutorial to do that to my IS! Thank you keep up the good vids!
I believe his filter said up next to the arrow. Up means up. If it says air flow it should point down. If it just has an arrow and says nothing, it probably indicates air flow (like the WIX filters.)

Maybe so but you might be surprised how many people put the filter element in upside down.

The arrows on the plastic parts do not indicate air flow. They there so you don't put the plastic parts back on upside down.

I have a 07 Lexus LS460 would it be the same or similar to it?
I believe so. But seeing as the LS models are more high end, there may be some more panels to remove. Good luck!
