@@pelado123 Where it's a game where the FPS boost downgrades the resolution, you have to turn on FPS boost yourself. This is also a good way of telling if the boost downgrades the resolution, by seeing if it's on or off by default. If it's turned on by default, it's fine, and doesn't effect the resolution at all.
@@pelado123 just a heads up, if it's a game you already installed there's a required update and the boosted framerate didn't work until I restarted the system.

I was already 4 hours into playing Dead Space 2 on my XSX( playing them all again)! The difference after downloading the patch at tangible. The 60fps is so much smoother and the Auto HDR really helps the image such a dark game with better colour and contrast.

I've never really been interested in Xbox, I've always played more Nintendo and Sony consoles, but wow, Xbox's backwards compatibility is something that Nintendo and Sony should look forward to doing something similar. I really wanted a remaster of Sonic Unleashed because it doesn't really run that well on older consoles (on X360 it can barely keep 30fps, on PS3 it's not even locked at 30fps, you see the game going from 10fps to 50fps, it really is a bad experience ), but now I could just insert my old Sonic Unleashed disk into the console and play at 60fps on the Xbox Series X without ever having to buy the game again digitally, that's awesome. The other companies really have a lot to learn from Microsoft, take a note Nintendo and Sony.
True... I'm a Sony/ PC guy but seeing this I might consider getting a Series. Still waiting for Starfield which probably will make me get the console. Until then I'm hyped for all the Sony games next year and Elden Ring of course. Gaming is best enjoyed when you play everything!

I'm glad I joined the Xbox ecosystem a few years ago. Most of my third party purchases are on Xbox now because of their amazing backwards compatibility program. I'm blown away that 360 game are getting fps boost now. Sonic Generations is like a free remaster.

Other than that I would say Xbox is bringing a VERY respectable console exclusive lineup for 9th gen to rival PS5 exclusives and Sony has seriously dropped the ball when it comes to game preservation. The series X is more powerful and the Series S is both budget friendly and actually available at msrp in most countries. Both ps5 consoles are absurdly hard to find and even when you do they're obscenely overpriced. If only Microsoft would make a VR Headset for Xbox . . . then they would truly have it all.
Having the ability to utilize your more powerful newer hardware to enhance older games is a great feature that hopefully Sony and Nintendo compete with because some of these games are great and many younger gamers never played them and now they can.

They mention they can’t add more new games due to legal and technical reasons. They may be able to enhance more games in either resolution or frame rate, but it’s unlikely now. That or some games may have their rights move hands and be able to be rereleased, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they are moving onto newer stuff now. I mean, I thought they stopped adding new games in 2019 to focus on next gen back compat, and stopped FPS Boost after Dark Souls 3 and the large batch of games. So this was a very pleasant surprise.

Dios, qué rápido has subido la comparativa. Alucinado me hayo con Xbox y lo que se vuelca con la retrocompatibilidad. Me faltan muchos juegos interesantes (ojalá los sumen en el futuro, aunque parece complicado) pero solo por cosas como Otogi, Binary Domain o el mismísimo NieR mejorados a 60 fps ya suspiro por una Series X en mi estantería.
Imagine you just discovered a new franchise where half of its games are from the xbox 360 generation and you want to play all the games, but you just started in Xbox Series X|S. Is buying a Xbox 360 the only option to play those games? No, unlike playstation, you dont have to wait for a remaster or buy the game at full price just because it was relaunch 10 years later but with better graphics.
Or, you know, you can just play 95% of those old games on PC with better graphics and performance. Yeah, xbox is doing great job for backwards compatibility compared to Sony. But if you main focus is 15 year old games on a brand new 12 tf console, then there is something wrong here.

Ahora mismo le estoy dando caña al Forza Horizon 5 y es una pasada, se ve y se juega de lujo. Yo también tengo PS4 y aún lo uso pero cuando la comparo en rendimiento con la Series S es un mundo de diferencia, sobre todo en los tiempos de carga y ya ni hablar del ruido del ventilador porque está pequeñita no hace ruido, difícilmente escuchas que tienes una consola prendida y eso es muy shockeante sobre todo si vienes de jugar play 4 que parece que va a hacer fusión nuclear cada que la enciendes jajaja.

Don’t assume all. I am a ps guy and I am impressed by this. Heck, l have a series x and I am enjoying these old games and rebuy them on Xbox even though I played it before on PS4 or PS3 to enjoy fps boost . The whole point I buy a series x is these backwards compatibility and gamepass. My main is still PS5 for sure though
Theres a few of us who were not fortunate enough to have had a console when this games were released so playing them years later on the best way possible is awesome!
@Michael Xbox is way more consumer friendly than ps Game pass. Everything is free pretty much. Not having to pay for constant remasters because fps boost etc. Plus backwards compatibility is so much better too. Ps is a bit anti consumer and being a bit too money hungry. Re releases of games with not much added to em. Like… directors cut that can easily just benefit from fps boost and couple other things and that’s it. Xbox library is a bit meh which their improving on next year and year after. Xbox is just as good as PlayStation. PlayStation has big library of games though and better controller. But both are great in my opinion.
Siendo un jugador de todas las plataformas tengo que admitir que estos es los mejor que han hecho Xbox hasta momento del conservar algunos juegos y con mejoras llegando a un punto del PC pero sin más allá en cambio Sony no le interesa casi en conservación de los juegos pero al final de cuenta cada consola tiene su magia pero esto es un plus a temas de mejoras y juego que funcionaban mal en su momento
I’m usually more impressed with better load times and stability. The difference between 30 and 60 fps is barely noticeable, but waiting 1 minute for a load screen compared to 5 seconds is huge.
great video. Love all these boosted games but they seriously need to apply the resolution multiplier to all of the BC titles, 720p/1080p just looks gross on modern TV's. They've managed to upgrade all the resolution bump xbox one x titles to 60fps so it's not a performance thing especially when they've managed to apply these features to modern games like The Division running at 4k 60fps. Wish they could just offer some kind of toggle and if the resolution multiplier causes some games to glitch, who cares.
1080p is passable, but definitely anything lower is pretty bad on a 4k display, especially without modern TAA and sharpening. If you're on a 1440p monitor 720p is passable but anything lower looks bad. Going below that 2x scale on each axis is a bad idea.
I find Far Cry 3 and Darksiders really strange additions. Far Cry 3, they added fps boost to the original 360 release, and not the more updated Classic Version. really strange. Darksiders, they added 60fps to the original 360 release, which already had a 4k 60 One X patch to begin with. Also really strange xD

Me da a mí la sensación de que se ha hecho un trabajo a medias, no creo que sea tan tan difícil cambiar el parámetro de la resolución a 1080 en los juegos, porque es inadmisible que estemos jugando a algunos de estos juegos a 720p, que mínimo que 1080
El problema es con la empresa que realizó el lanzamiento, si no accede a dar más información o código del juego nunca se liberará la resolución sin evitar problema al aumentar el frame
Lo que si se me hace raro es que a Max Payne 3 le hayan puesto un limite de 30 FPS y no un framarate desbloqueado como la versión de 360 y como GTA IV. Es más raro aún teniendo en cuenta de que el juego, a diferencia de GTA IV, no sufre de bugs al correr a 60 FPS o más

Pero solo una cosa. El Sonic ya estaba a 4k y 60 Fps mejorados hace meses, lo sé porque incluso se anunció en algún portal de vídeojuegos de Xbox y lo descargué. Incluso en la One X estaba así de mejorado.

That's not going to happen unfortunately, the game is just too heavy to run at 4k 60fps, especially with FPS boost which has an additional overhead. We will have to wait for an official patch from Rockstar.

Having the ability to utilize your more powerful newer hardware to enhance older games is a great feature that hopefully Sony and Nintendo compete with because some of these games are great and many younger gamers never played them and now they can.

They mention they can’t add more new games due to legal and technical reasons. They may be able to enhance more games in either resolution or frame rate, but it’s unlikely now. That or some games may have their rights move hands and be able to be rereleased, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they are moving onto newer stuff now.
I mean, I thought they stopped adding new games in 2019 to focus on next gen back compat, and stopped FPS Boost after Dark Souls 3 and the large batch of games. So this was a very pleasant surprise.

@@Mekkanixx Creo que la diferencia esta en la voluntad de hacerlo, si sony haya querido hubiese preparado su consola, pero es una tristeza que ni entre sus últimas generaciones puedan compartir catálogo, realmente el merito de microsoft fue pensar en ello desde antes, para que en el futuro fuera "fácil" llevarlo acabo con la tecnología de su consola. Potente y retrocompatible, es increíble.

Dios, qué rápido has subido la comparativa. Alucinado me hayo con Xbox y lo que se vuelca con la retrocompatibilidad. Me faltan muchos juegos interesantes (ojalá los sumen en el futuro, aunque parece complicado) pero solo por cosas como Otogi, Binary Domain o el mismísimo NieR mejorados a 60 fps ya suspiro por una Series X en mi estantería.
Imagine you just discovered a new franchise where half of its games are from the xbox 360 generation and you want to play all the games, but you just started in Xbox Series X|S. Is buying a Xbox 360 the only option to play those games? No, unlike playstation, you dont have to wait for a remaster or buy the game at full price just because it was relaunch 10 years later but with better graphics.
Or, you know, you can just play 95% of those old games on PC with better graphics and performance. Yeah, xbox is doing great job for backwards compatibility compared to Sony. But if you main focus is 15 year old games on a brand new 12 tf console, then there is something wrong here.

@@santiagoalaniz5823 es una maravilla, obviamente con el combo de Gamepass que siempre tienes algo que jugar. Ahora mismo le estoy dando caña al Forza Horizon 5 y es una pasada, se ve y se juega de lujo.
Yo también tengo PS4 y aún lo uso pero cuando la comparo en rendimiento con la Series S es un mundo de diferencia, sobre todo en los tiempos de carga y ya ni hablar del ruido del ventilador porque está pequeñita no hace ruido, difícilmente escuchas que tienes una consola prendida y eso es muy shockeante sobre todo si vienes de jugar play 4 que parece que va a hacer fusión nuclear cada que la enciendes jajaja.

Heck, l have a series x and I am enjoying these old games and rebuy them on Xbox even though I played it before on PS4 or PS3 to enjoy fps boost . The whole point I buy a series x is these backwards compatibility and gamepass. My main is still PS5 for sure though

Ps is a bit anti consumer and being a bit too money hungry. Re releases of games with not much added to em. Like… directors cut that can easily just benefit from fps boost and couple other things and that’s it.
Xbox library is a bit meh which their improving on next year and year after.
Xbox is just as good as PlayStation. PlayStation has big library of games though and better controller.
But both are great in my opinion.

Siendo un jugador de todas las plataformas tengo que admitir que estos es los mejor que han hecho Xbox hasta momento del conservar algunos juegos y con mejoras llegando a un punto del PC pero sin más allá en cambio Sony no le interesa casi en conservación de los juegos pero al final de cuenta cada consola tiene su magia pero esto es un plus a temas de mejoras y juego que funcionaban mal en su momento

I’m usually more impressed with better load times and stability. The difference between 30 and 60 fps is barely noticeable, but waiting 1 minute for a load screen compared to 5 seconds is huge.

great video. Love all these boosted games but they seriously need to apply the resolution multiplier to all of the BC titles, 720p/1080p just looks gross on modern TV's. They've managed to upgrade all the resolution bump xbox one x titles to 60fps so it's not a performance thing especially when they've managed to apply these features to modern games like The Division running at 4k 60fps. Wish they could just offer some kind of toggle and if the resolution multiplier causes some games to glitch, who cares.
1080p is passable, but definitely anything lower is pretty bad on a 4k display, especially without modern TAA and sharpening. If you're on a 1440p monitor 720p is passable but anything lower looks bad. Going below that 2x scale on each axis is a bad idea.
It's not as simple as you think. FPS boost itself is a huge achievement.
@@brewski535 You don't want TAA on a 720p game. It make the game extra blurry. TAA start to work at 1440p. Even at 1080p TAA feels a tad soft

I find Far Cry 3 and Darksiders really strange additions.
Far Cry 3, they added fps boost to the original 360 release, and not the more updated Classic Version. really strange.
Darksiders, they added 60fps to the original 360 release, which already had a 4k 60 One X patch to begin with. Also really strange xD
Because FC3 classic only has it for campaign meanwhile the original has its multiplayer modes intact.

Me da a mí la sensación de que se ha hecho un trabajo a medias, no creo que sea tan tan difícil cambiar el parámetro de la resolución a 1080 en los juegos, porque es inadmisible que estemos jugando a algunos de estos juegos a 720p, que mínimo que 1080
Y luego está Sony que te cobra 20€ por desbloquear el frame rate
El problema es con la empresa que realizó el lanzamiento, si no accede a dar más información o código del juego nunca se liberará la resolución sin evitar problema al aumentar el frame

Lo que si se me hace raro es que a Max Payne 3 le hayan puesto un limite de 30 FPS y no un framarate desbloqueado como la versión de 360 y como GTA IV. Es más raro aún teniendo en cuenta de que el juego, a diferencia de GTA IV, no sufre de bugs al correr a 60 FPS o más

Pero solo una cosa. El Sonic ya estaba a 4k y 60 Fps mejorados hace meses, lo sé porque incluso se anunció en algún portal de vídeojuegos de Xbox y lo descargué. Incluso en la One X estaba así de mejorado.

They've should have added fps Boost to Far Cry 3 Classic instead. Much higher Resolution and better graphical settings compared to the X360 version.
FC3 on Xbox 360 has more content like multiplayer and coop.

That's not going to happen unfortunately, the game is just too heavy to run at 4k 60fps, especially with FPS boost which has an additional overhead. We will have to wait for an official patch from Rockstar.
