    About Harvey's guest:
Today’s guest, Richard Karn, is a popular actor, producer and author who is perhaps best known for his portrayal of “Al Borland”, the master plumber, licensed contractor, best friend and co-host of Tim Allen's character “Tim Taylor” on the classic, long-running TV sitcom, “Home Improvement”. He absolutely immortalized the phrase, “I don’t think so, Tim”. This interview took me right back to being a young married mommy.
Home Improvement was something my Husband & I laughed & enjoyed so much!
We lived up in Washington State at the time, but in the lower, Eastern part...the desert!
The wintertime my Husbund pretty much wore his "Al" look...beard & plaid flannel shirts, lOl!
After a few years my Daughter ended up having her first TV Crush on Johnathan Taylor Thomas!! 💞
What a great guest, I hope Richard does come back again!!!
    Thank you, Harvey 😊
    👍👍

An amiable actor, always fun to watch who's been great in everything I've seen him in. I even find those "pocket hose" commercials entertaining.
    Nice interview.

100 years ago, I was on the waiter staff in a Theater District restaurant named Charlies' with Richard Karn. All of us wanted to be working actors and Richard had had the good fortune of a commercial which earned him beaucoup bucks. I remember talking with him one day at the lunch table. He had learned that a big check had disconnected him from the world, in a sense, and this had been a mistake on his part. This common sense wisdom was lost on me at the time. During those years of meeting so many aspirants, I got to the point where I had to realize that not everyone was going to make it (myself included). This one was hysterically funny. That one had the intensity of a Brando or Pacino. She was drop dead gorgeous. He was the nephew of an Academy Award winner. On and on. So if you had told me at the time that Richard Karn would be someone who would become nationally known (1 of 3 in @ 8 years, Annabella Sciorra was another), I never would have believed it. And yet I listen to Richard talk in the interview, and the things which were lost on me when our paths crossed and an appreciation for the contributing qualities he brings from his own personality to the "success table" make a lot of sense. Touche Richard!
