About Harvey's guest:
Karen Knotts is an American actress and stand-up comedian and daughter of comedy genius Don Knotts.
During her childhood and her teenage years, she and her father often "butted heads" over her desire to enter show business: "I always wanted to be an actress, even when I was young, but he said, 'No, that's not a good life for a child." She went on to say that he supported her "100 percent in the end". She studied at Beverly Hills High School, followed by USC School of Cinematic Arts.
Knotts works as a stand-up comic and SAG/AFTRA actor. Her one-woman show, "Tied Up in Knotts", is the story of growing up with her comedian father. It was directed by Andersen Gabrych. She performed it at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2008. She also performs standup comedy on the road. Her television and film credits include Return to Mayberry, An Occurrence at Black Canyon, One of Our Own, and the Vice Academy series.
Knotts also writes for the stage; her one-woman play Roger and Betsy was nominated for the Merce Awards in 2009. She has written two plays, Dates from Hell the Musical, and a farce, But We Open Tonite.

Karen is a delightful lady. She opened the curtain and revealed what her father was about.
Don Knotts, is certainly amongst the greatest actors comedians, Graceful, kind, intelligent, loving, compassionate, integrity, gentleman around the globe he's well ❤ and certainly missed he was certainly one of a kind original professionalism, that showed throughout his work and dedication to his fans was truly remarkable i have a lot of respect for his ability to take you into whatever role he was playing i enjoy his work to this day my family continues to watch everything your father has ever played in Karen thank you for doing this interview i seriously enjoyed every second of it i wish I'd known that you had a show i would have definitely taken the opportunity to be able to see you perform an unlike many i know that we are all our own individuals ❤ this video thank you very much for sharing i certainly appreciate Harvey for having you on great interview is when they allow there guests to speak without speaking over them or cutting there guests off mid sentence so again thank you Harvey very much appreciated enjoyed your work.❤ im so happy i found this true gem by accident it has made my day 😊

Wonderful interview....I just find it interesting that "he had to work, he was not rich"...I find that amazing, but I understand and certainly am miffed that with all the movie, TV and such, he had to work till the end. I believe his daughter, just that I find it strange. Maybe there is more to that?
He was never that well paid.
So interesting. I've seen Karen perform stand up and she is delightful.
The Griffith show was of an innocence that we all can, to some extent look back on when life's problems were not filled with stress that wasn't resolved quickly. It provide a comfortable environment.
