OMG!! I do my blinds the SAME way you do but I ALWAYS had that little strip of dust to get and I would end up going back over EACH INDIVIDUAL BLIND to get that daggom strip!!! What a BRILLIANT idea to flip the blinds AROUND!! ahhahaa THANK YOU!

I'm confused, did this guy just show people how to take a rag and wipe the dust off some blinds? Do they know you can use this same wiping method to clean their kitchen counter, wash their car, and their bodies? How did they clean all these things before?

I believe it’s because it’s easy to over complicate one of the simplest things like simply wiping your blinds off. There’s those ridiculous blinds wipers that are stacked like 3 or 4 high that aren’t very useful. That just makes it seem what it should be, difficult.

Well dang you mean to tell me I been looking at my humungous long set of liveing room vinal blinds for a few weeks trying to figure how to tackle them the easiest and that's alllllllllll you gotta do? 😒😒🙄wow. Good work but i personally cleaned my blinds iwth wipes before it turned out that the damp wipes are not enough to remove 100% of the dirt. I had to use very wet cloth first and then wipe again multiple rounds before letting it dry.

Huhhhh I was literally wiping each one across front and back and had to do it twice, first with a wet cloth then drying with a dry cloth, takes FOREVER! I’ll do this next time

Like the idea , but You’ve done it on a small window blind , not so easy to get to other side if it’s a larger window / blind .. suggestion please
Try opening the blinds most of the way and start at the top. As you clean slowly lower it so it’s not a huge thing to work around.
If only it was that simple! Coastal salt laden air settles on blinds and dust sticks like glue.

No, I just cleaned the top but to clean the bottom, you just reverse the process.

I hate cleaning blinds because of the little ridge that stayed dirty. I never thought to just turn them around. I'll have to try that! Hopefully it works. My house has so many big windows and so many blinds.
I use to try to figure out how to clean the back until one day I just pulled the blinds out and was like "that's a lot easier!"

My blinds are not wood they are vinyl and they are so hard to clean... However, I use my handheld steam cleaner they came out beautiful!

Darn it! My blinds seem to be exactly the same as yours, except for in one room they go almost from the ceiling to the floor. Lots of slats! I clean them the exact same way. When I went looking, I was hoping to get an easier way to do the backside, but I guess there is no easier way.
You can tie a rag to a duster, like an extending swiffer and use that to wipe down the upper parts. I hope that helps.
this is good if your blinds color is dark... try with white blinds, it’s not as easy as this.
That's good to know. Maybe hit it with a dry rag first to get the bulk of the dust off, then go back with a slightly damp rag to get the other stuff that is built up on there off.

Good tip. I wouldn’t use it on light colored blind cord since it will absorb the dirt. But for this dark brown stuff you’re working with oh yah wipe on!

I’m a professional cleaner, this is how I clean blinds too. I’ll use different products depending on the material and condition. It’s kind of a pain in the ass to get the middle when the blinds are super wide, especially when they are those cheap metal mini blinds.
I appreciate your input. Thankfully these are the widest ones I’ve had to clean and I hate the cheap metal blinds. They’re super easy to bend out of shape if you’re not careful, at least in my experience.

Are there any products you would recommend using on the cloth?
I was using a wood polish but really you can use any of your typical cleaning products that you would use for cleaning a table or wiping surfaces down. Anything more than water. If you use slightly soapy water then the soap will help to cut through the dirt and lift it off the surface. I hope this helps. 😁

How high is your ceiling? If I can't reach the top of blinds, the easiest fix is standing on a sturdy chair that doesn't rock around. It's been 2-months since your comment was written, did you clean your blinds?
