You have put a lot of effort into these instructions. I bought one of these old ladies by chance on Sunday because it was very cheap and in good condition. I normally ride a '94 Kawasaki 1500 Vulcan. I had no idea that there were two tanks installed. I have to remove rust from the inside of both. It works very well with citric acid and washing soda dissolved in boiling water. Add 100 grams of citric acid granules and 40 grams of washing soda to 1 liter of water. Fill the tank(s) to the brim and leave to soak. Thank you for your efforts! Have fun with the little lady. Greatings from Germany, Swabia. Always keep the rubberside down! 😎😋

I need to rebuild the petcock on my 97 Virago. Do you think I could remove it and take the petcock off without removing the entire fuel tank? Is it possible?

@@deceitfulfate you might have to still unbolt the top bolts to the tank and lift it up enough to get a small screwdriver to remove the Phillips screws. You’ll need probably about 3 inches of clearance. To be honest, it seems like with would be more of a pain to not remove the tank completely. Let me know if it ends up working for you if you do try it that way.
