Just got the wooting 60he earlier this month after using the Durgod Taurus K320 for 5 years. Lubed the switches and tape modded the spacebar and it is absolutely heavenly.
The K320 is a high quality plastic keeb especially for its time, I had one in the past.
Aren't the wooting switches pre lubed??
It does come factory lubed. However hand lubing makes it feel much smoother and sound quieter.
Brandon, can you share your Wooting profile? Also it would be possible for a future video to compare different switches on the wooting, like the ls45, new gateron jades he and geon offering?

Meletric has the Zoom75 with multiple hotswap layouts (I'm looking for split spacebar). However they just came up with the Boog75, and it's got the shape, but no LCD display or multiple layout sockets. So close.

Yo, I got the Salvation case for my Wooting but the screw to the right of the space bar doesn't line up with the leaf mount- was wondering if yours did?

I can't decide between wooting or Huntsman v3. Practical performance and convenience ( 6-10 hrs per day) which should I choose? Others review that the Huntsman v3's switches are solid and have a very bouncy feel. Does it feel uncomfortable when used for a long time? compared to wooting
Wooting wins for me only because of how flexible/standard the components are when you want to mod the keyboard (and that it's my personal size preference 60%). I have a Tofu60 already which the Wooting will pair nicely with, but the current price is holding me back as I've already invested heavily in my current build and switches...
Wooting recently released a module which you can also consider. It did bring the price down a bit and since you already have a tofu and likely some keycaps. This is a great option to consider
got a wooting otw taking about a month and a half but very excited with their module and alu case with a pc plate. Gonna be 1000 times more customizable and moddable than the others

Been waiting for quite a while for Wooting to drop 75% layout but then Monsgeek/Akko/Drunkdeer released their own rapid trigger-esque KB. I've been using Monsgeek M1 HE and loving it so far.

Wooting two he (full size) literally came before the 60he, wooting’s first keyboard was a tkl with optical switches. Tell me you never did research without telling me you never did research

Your issue with the Razer seems a little odd since you can literally adjust the upstroke sensitivity on the Razer - which you can't do on the steel series.
What was your upstroke set to on the huntsman? Cos it sound like it needed to be at +0.2 so it was a little less sensitive for your usage...
he was also slamming the keys on the razer like a mad man, but types normal on the wooting, i know the wooting sounds better but my huntsman v3 sounds nothing like that jesus
surprisingly the wooting in the salvation case sounds the worst. Not sure if it's the desk, but it sounds thumpy and flat.
I saw that Endgame Gear have made a keyboard now it is a 65% keyboard. And it is using the Gateron KS-37B Hall Effect Magnetic Switches
The polar65 by arbiter studio is underrated. You should definitely make a review on it
It's even better than the Wooting overall(prebuilt design, feel, smoothness, keycap weight, rapid trigger is similar, cheaper, etc)
@@matthewcarvajal6152Better is relative. Depends on what you are looking for. The Polar65 is not hot swap. Geon has a Hall Effect switch that you could swap to with Wooting and that switch seems really good. Obviously modding is superior on Wooting and with the HE+ you can just get the PCB and Plate cutting cost if you like to mod. Stock if you aren’t going to change a thing I would give the edge to the Polar65. If you were to compare (Wouldn’t be fair) a modded Wooting to a Polar65 Wooting wins all day by a lot. Major con to me is no software for the Polar65. Sure they say in the future but at present it is not available. In the end depends on your needs and budget.
You can turn rapid trigger on the apex pro tkl 2023 by holding media button going into the built in menu then go to acuation then press the roller and you should get a lightning bolt symbol above the actuation number if rapid trigger on but you cannot change rapid trigger sensitivity that when you need there software😮

the only reason I'd go with Wooting is that I'm a competitive gamer myself. Wooting Tachyon is a game changer with its less than 1ms response compared to other analog keyboards. it's not just about the switch, it's the polling rate and response of the keyboard that is selling me

what key caps are on the wooting?
Wootings ABS version of OEM profile keycaps. They’re just on the cheaper side in comparison to these other keyboards
10:00 awful software like synapse or that steelseries stuff is the reason i prefer the wooting, although the 2 competitors are quite good. I just hope now that wooting will make a 75%.

If 75 percent is your thing and wanted to upgrade with premium keycaps (short right shift hurts), then Drunkdeer is great just for the typing experience.
You want the TKL and hall effects? Go Steelseries that's in the video.

I was going to get a Wooting and mod it with a tofu redux but in the end cost and time played a factor so I decided to pick up a Polar 65 and gotta say I'm loving it.
It's gotta be the most premuim feeling prebuilt gaming keyboard I have ever owned.
The only downside is color options for the case and software won't be available until sometime in 2024 which is not really a big deal since you set it onboard and forget basically.

Why a video about the same 3 brands all over again? There are so many good rising stars in the hall effect market. Even in lower budgets. Arbiterstudios Polar 65 and Drunkdeer A75 are worth for the spotlight to be given.

wooting key wobble is the worst , the stem wobble cant be fixed unless you deep dive in to your pockets
I returned my Wooting believe me not worth the hype just get any hall effect keyboard they all the same but I don't know about the razer I never tried it coz I hate opt switches they sound and feel worse than magnetic switches, if you wanna wooting so badly you need to consider relube them coz after heavy use like month or more they will feel like cheap and sound ugly

@@Azrael32 yes modding is miles wider with wooting same for razor. but qc for wooting is alot better from how their leds are programmed and how you wanna program your board.
what i noticed with my steel series boards are led discoloration when holding solid colors they have a kinda bleed in effect after 4 months of use it will become notice able.
The stabs on the wooting are 5000% better. omg my apex pro was ticking out the box and if you dont know how to soder you are suck with that sound this whole time with more boards.
tl/dr: wooting has a great product

No it doesn't seeing the less start to die within literal months for literally almost every person who's owned one that I've asked including myself, it's so bad. Absolute scumbags cost cutting to this extent on such an expensive keyboard as if putting reds on a third of the switches and it sounding like a toy wasn't bad enough already lmao
@@Frozoken which keyboard the wooting i own a few of these and i personally never gotten a led to fade or die. even online it's hard to find it.
with Steel Series and the ones i own they all faded colors within months of ownership.
the wooting isn't cheaply made by any means.
This is from me owning them. if you have the time and or money you should get one of the 4 and try it out for a few to get a first hand experience.

I think the Keychron Q1 HE will be the one to get unless that Wooting 80 HE unannounced and secret features (until closer to release date) is worth whatever price they ask.
But so far an overwhelming majority dislike the 80 HE layout and think Wooting really missed the mark. Everyone thought Wooting was going to release a TKL/75% and they seemingly had to be different for just the sake of it and very few people that I've seen today excited about it.

Huntsman is superbly responsive and smooth, very much underrated. I'd almost argue it is more responsive than the other two options.
