You can tour on an F3 with a few mods as you mentioned . My wife has a 2015 F3 base model and we were able to add cruise control to it. Simply bought the right hand control pod from the models that come with cruise and it wires right up for around $200. I am not sure if Can Am changed anything on the newer models, but it definitely works on hers. I agree 100% about the Blue Ridge windshield, we tried it too and it was terrible. We ended up getting the F4 Customs and it is leaps and bounds better. I ride a Harley Street Glide and use a sissy bar bag for our clothes, all the wife uses is a small shad bag on the back seat of her F3 and we can go for a week or more with that simple set up.
I have an egg sitter that I use in my truck at work. It works great, you can get them on line for about 25 or 30 bucks shipped! Don’t know how well it would work on a Spyder but it’s cheep and I don’t get a sore back side any more. My day includes about 230 to 250 miles every day. I work for a package delivery service like UPS in the farm land area of mid Illinois. Sometimes I can have as much as 30 minutes between stops and my base is about an hour from my territory. Love my egg sitter!
I kinda admire the F3 from afar, but lately I've come to realize the very real differences from my RT. I will say I ran with your talk of the Airhawk difference and got a medium standard as you have and like it better than the R, which I have ridden for 500 mile without an issue. Wifey loves the R..! Floorboards and add floating pegs give you so many comfort options that you never grow tired. I can't imagine not having cruise control. How do you shake out your right hand..?! I'm really enjoying your vlogs, gives me a different perspective on Spyders and makes me appreciate what I have even more. Keep it up! ...and be safe...
All of tje spyders are great at what they were designed for. The RT is a very comfortable long-distance touring machine. The F3 is a very fast great handling Cruiser. My old RS was crazy fun but not good for a 200 mile ride. I'm glad you like the airhawk you just never know if it will work until you try it. My next spyder will have cruise control...i miss it! The only time I shake out my right hand is when I get to stop in traffic or at a gas station. Ride safe
I'm a good six inches shorter than you are and I still get a lot of wind blast at helmet level with the Blue Ridge windscreen. It doesn't bother me all that much except for the wind noise when I use an open microphone. Great ryde and good information Bro!

I'll never have another motorcycle without Cruise Control and heated grips. Its been to hot for me this summer in NC so I've rode very little. 90 degrees is a no go for me, 40-85 is the sweet spot for me. 97 heat index today.
This is why i'm gonna buy a spyder instead of a motorcycle... I had a couple motorcycles , but due to a bad shoulder (wich will lead to a shoulder prothesis one of the years to come) I dont ride anymore. Sucky fact is i'm only 39 atm and still want to go on long trips with the wife(cross country trough europe). A spyder F3S with the saddle bags , topcase and backrest are the first step , the windscreen is gonna be a problem however, as I am 6 feet 3 tall. Riding a couple of hundred miles , and not falling off the spyder due to shoulder pain is a requirement....
Im sorry to hear about your health issues. I hope the spyder lets you ride how you want I ride the spyder over 2 wheels because it allows me to ride how I want.

I really like the cruise control on my RT. I've used a throttle lock on my NC700X, but it never held the speed like the Spryder cruise does. I don't have a backrest, but have found that a 30 liter dry bag on the passenger seat works almost as well.
I agree with all your observations on your F3. What I did having a 15 F3s (so at least I had cruise) I upgraded to an 18 Lmt. That way I got the great storage (the upper storage is amazing), and I also got navigation (which you already had) and I moved my ultimate floorboards from my 15 over. So all I need now is the F4 custom windscreen to help with the head buffeting and I"ll be good for another cruise to the Dragon. Good info.

The spyder is amazing reliable machine. I have the oil change kit and I hope to change the oil this weekend. That being said the last time I changed it it still had to much metal on the drain plug. I hope this time I won't.

Screen: no; Shad bags: yes; BRP backrest (along with the front one): yes; seat: I'll break it in; cruise control: I thought it was standard on the F3-S; floorboards: I may get Pierre's. I have got the rear backrest to slot my 23-year-old 63 litre Ventura Bike-Pack over. That and the SHADs and the 24.4-litre frunk makes a total of over 159 litres of luggage space.
Can you link the seat cushion your using? I also have an f3 2019 model, I did a throttle lock, windshield, 2up shock, back seat and backrest for my wife and that's about it so far. I have the same windshield but I'm kinda tall 6'5" and tbh it's not bad wind hits me more upper chest and feels good, will see if I have a change of mind this winter.

Bought an F-3S in November. I’ll look at that F3 windshield. My F-3S does have the cruse control. That was a feature I wanted.
I have the F4 windshield and love it, it's on a rt limited the highest and widest never a scratch

LaMonster garage has an oil change kit for about 80 bucks. Do you think that's a decent price and good oil?

Cruise is standard on the F3S but I just have the F3 base. Good choice on the floor boards they appear to be a great fit. Thank you for the comment

To keep it simple colors cruise control upgraded shocks on the front a different rear pulley and about 10 more horsepower
