This is the most beautiful soulful song I’ve heard in a long time. Heard it on an episode of Yellowstone and I had to Shazam it to find it. So so pretty. Just amazing
Kacey is one of those artists you love even if you hate country. And anyway, it hardly matters. Shes transcended all genres and labels at this point. Shes just damn good and deserves all of the success shes achieved
A perfect voice on a sweet painting of floating music. The reverb in the end is mesmerizing. I love the openness that let's it breathe. Gives me hope for a future of music like this.♥️
This song is HYPNOTIC! I LOVE a song with chord changes that make you feel high when you're not (ex. "Clocks" by Coldplay). I am a singer/songwriter and make a meager living at it but I know a hit when I hear one! This should've been a massive hit, one of the best songs I've heard in years! The music business today is SO formulaic and contrived to make a fast buck. As a result truly great music is shoved to the backburner and it's a damn shame! Kacey you are a fantastic singer and songwriter(not to mention beautiful, if I may say). I adore you :)
I heard this song on my Spotify's suggestion "easy Sunday Playlist" and when heard this song, I got to say, I connected with it. The voice, the music melodies, it's all beautiful. I don't know who Kacey was before today, let alone listen to country, but I am fan of hers starting now😊
She's created such a cool vibey feeling with her breathy voice and relaxed airy delivery. Love Burn one with John Prine too. Super talented singer songwriter.
I'm not a country fan at all, but heard a clip of her song "oh, what a world" on a random Tik Tok video and instantly got excited and wanted more, now I'm here, still excited with this song. I love her beautiful voice and her ability to changes chords with stunning delivery to my ears, almost brought me to tears. I'm a new fan!💗💐
I don't usually even like country music but her whole album Golden Hour is amazing and this song so relaxing, makes it feel like your floating on a cloud lol
Me too. I just discovered this great singer. She 's got a very lovely pure voice. This kind of country music ( I do not like too much too) is really relaxing in our mad world ! 😊
I just discovered this song the other day buying the album on a whim. I can't stop listening to it. Beautiful doesn't begin to describe how uplifting "Slow Burn" is.
I'd say it's not country or indie, but it is and is not. It's the mellow music we've been waiting for. But I guess it is a country song. Thank god if Country is evolving.
What you're actually hearing is old school country with indie flare. I'm not even the world's biggest country fan, but this album is pretty damn good and deserves all the love it got
@@Runescape. Song credits are Kacey Musgraves, Daniel Tashian, Ian Fitchuk (the two men who worked on the album "Golden Hour" with her). I'm guessing she wrote the lyrics and the draft music, and the others fine-tuned the arrangement and music, as well as created the production soundscape.
My friend sent me a link to this song. Was shaking my head at first cause it looked like a Country song (not my style). Plus him and I haven't spoke in over a year untill yesterday which was his birthday. I listened to it only cause has been a very good friend of mine for 26years. So ok, just hearing her voice I was intrigued, and as I listened to the lyrics I caught myself smiling through out the whole song. The words remained me of ME.
I thought I was gonna hate this song too because country isn't my thing. It's my least favorite genre but her voice is really clear and flows nicely. I guess it's a bit closer to folk music
@@Mx.Pickle Yeah I have to Agree with your comment about folk music personally I've come to the conclusion that the best music of all is "folk" music and all music that has any part of it- "folk-ness" meaning music of the people- music of the soul... Will stay with us forever.
Hello all.......if you love folk, check out "Been Smoking Too Long" by Nick Drake. It was recorded really quickly one day just to get it down and the kinks were to be worked out later. He died very young and before this song could be loved like it needed to be, so the sound quality is not great. But still a soul stirrer.
This song is fantastic. I'm not much of a country guy honestly, but I think this song is proof of an insanely talented and multi-faceted artist. Evocative, raw lyrics. Distinctive and gorgeous vocals. Incredible and brilliant instrumentation coupled with stellar ambience. So much more than just 'country'. Amazing
This woman just converted a super urban kid who was totally against country into a fan.... shes amazing and I'll fight anyone who says otherwise!! Fight with love that is...
The SNL live version (you can find it here on TH-cam) is amazing. An audio engineer's nightmare which turned out to be his masterpiece. Just stunning. Those guys deserve an award.
I am basically speechless...Music like this deserves all of our attention..There is more than enough ugliness in our world but music like this helps remind us of all of the beauty too !!!!!!!
Great song! A-major key is easy on my ukelele. Also, surprisingly, my low tenor falsetto fits Kacey's pitch quite nicely since she doesn't blow the top off. Nice touch by her. Fits the vibe. Just need to change lyrics slightly for a male singer. 😂❤
So happy I discovered this song from the show Teenage Bounty Hunters 4 years ago, but too sad Netflix cancelled it. I am still hoping until now..... :(
This is the most beautiful soulful song I’ve heard in a long time. Heard it on an episode of Yellowstone and I had to Shazam it to find it. So so pretty. Just amazing
watch her on austin city limits she amazing....
that's where I heard for the first time. just love it
I did the exact same thing!
Me too! Yellowstone also introduced me to th-cam.com/video/5avNK46w9no/w-d-xo.html&start_radio=1
I found it the exact same way! It's so beautiful

I don't consider her Country. Some of her songs might sound country, but It's more of a progressive sound, kind of a cross over. And she is Amazing.
Exactly correct 👌 !
Sounds country to me but am from the UK so we dont play this music very often
So am possibly wrong
❤
@davidbarber4709 yeah, I'm from Liverpool, and it's country to us! 😊
Absolutely amazing song, makes me feel high, so beautiful❤
the chord progressions in the song are ethereal and magical - and the message, the delivery, ... what a masterpiece !!
She wrote this song on LSD
A perfect voice on a sweet painting of floating music. The reverb in the end is mesmerizing. I love the openness that let's it breathe. Gives me hope for a future of music like this.♥️
What a beautiful and very accurate description. ❤️❤️
I love everything about Kacey Musgraves her voice is special she is a talented song writer and she is very beautiful

Well said.
ya dude. this song is legend material. shes literally singing about nothing and everything at the same time it feels like
The soulful distant banjo is so peaceful and haunting
Old man look at me now, I'm a lot like you were

The studio that mastered this song did an amazing job.
Howard Stern was interviewing her and she said it was done on Cheryl Crows property in her studio.. beautiful huh?
Can’t get enough of this song ... playing in my head half the time.

Didn't need a TV show to know this fantastic artist.💯 Going to see her in Santa Barbara in September.
First saw Kacie perform this on a late night show, Colbert and I instantly fell in love. Beautiful voice and actual real instruments are fantastic
She sings live to such perfection it's hard to believe. Coolest girl ever!
This chick is incredible. Best album I've bought in a really long time. I recommend it on vinyl.
I need to get back into vinyl.
Sooo good on vinyl
Amazing song and singer!! Can't get it out of my head!
@Kacey Musgraves Of course! I am a singer/songwriter/ musician for a living. You are fantastic!!!

It does sound kind of indie
Sounds like old man Neil Young.

Stunning. I had no idea she was so gifted, never really listened to her music.
From 2:34-2:57 sheer brilliance the build up to those harmonies. Chills!
Like a revamped version of “old man” by Neil young. She’s a fucken genius.
Yes! I knew there was a familiar sound.
she didnt write this song a man did, learn something new ya dummy.
Omg you're right!

Something about it reminded me of Warning Sign by Coldplay too

The song is so incredibly beautiful. Love her voice but lyrics is are so true! Sometimes get very emotional listening. Thank you Casey!
God I love this woman. Great song writer with a beautiful voice.
June 2024! Who's here? Just amazing. This song is hypnotic ....from Fort Worth, Texas
Vibes! From Fort Drum, New York
1.37 am here in Stoke UK good evening guys hope youve had a good day
DFW/Irving my birthplace....now up in Tennessee....
Nothing like the Texas night sky!!!
Youve not seen sky untill you come to UK where summer sun last till 11.20 pm then glows red
@davidbarber4709 you haven't seen a sunset until you experience one at the top of mountain. There's more to the world than the UK.
I relate to this song so much, I heard it the other day and burst into tears but it felt good.
First I saw of this was on Steve Colbert show. Try to find that version. You won't be mad
So not just me then. Second time I listened I just lost it. Man in his fifties. :-)
I am a man L.P. and "big boys don't cry" but fuck at shit!!! This song make's me cry too......
Me tooooo!!!! I started bawling!!! It just touched me in my soul
Same. This song speaks to me. Plus I'm a sucker for a banjo...

The song has some 90s music vibe to it. Beautifully done. Bravo!

Teenage Bounty Hunters. Such a perfect song for the scenes it was used in.

I’ve never heard of Teenage Bounty Hunters. Does anyone find music because they’re looking for music?
@@matthewcreswell605 of course...but some people find mew music unexpectedly as a soundtrack in a show.

Yellowstone has been an unbelievable series to watch.
Country-folk Americana at it’s best.

Playing this song to remind myself how great a slow burn pays off when my favorite couple on my show just won’t get together! 😌
Love her slow songs best. Fabulous.

Closer to country than the rest of country music today
Absolutely mesmerizing
