I was three days old when my Mom and I spent Hurricane Betsy in the hallway of Charity Hospital in New Orleans. I was 4 when we went through Cammile. I can't count the hurricanes since, but growing up on Lake Pontchartrain exposes you to a lot of storms.

NYC here. This song is mastefully crafted. Very few artists can pull off this kind of storytelling. It's also incredibly refreshing to see girls who actually respect themselves by wearing clothes in front of a camera.

My favorite version of this song is the one by Leon Everett but only because of sentimental reasons and early Sunday morning drives with my father delivering newspapers and listening to WWL radio out of New Orleans. But I like every version of it. Leon Everett released this song in 1981.
