Inspired from that video I installed a solar of 3KW on my roof from solar square.I got subsidy of around 50K for 3KW and I paid 162K in Maharashtra.Its not installed yet coz its under net meter approve state.They are helpful and you can consider them

The 3 biggest problems with solar installation which I feel are:
1. If you do not own a house and live in flat you can not be a part of this.
3. If you have your own 2 storied house, you install a solar grid and later on a multi-storey building project comes near your house which shadows your house during major daytime then your entire investment goes for a toss.
3. In case of natural calamities and monsoon strong winds carry small and tiny pebbles which damage the solar panel.
Subsidy is only applicable on Poly panels. Which anyways is outdated and give 4units (max) per kW on a perfect day while Mono PERC are more advanced and sensitive to ambient light and give 5 units per kW. The biggest disadvantage other than just 4units is that in a few yrs Poly panels would be phased out, so you won't get a replacement if any of your poly panels malfunctions.
It's been 4 months since I paid these guys ( Solar Square) the full amount of 3.2 lakhs and still i haven't had my plant up and running. It was the previous video watching which i put my trust in these guys. They say it will be done in 45 days sadly even after 4 months i haven't received my connection. All because of the lethargic response of ground level guys.

I contacted gov contractor and one of my relative who is the supplier for my state. And compared both prices there was more than20k difference after calculating the subsidy. (All including installation charge)
My known supplier agreed to install 2.5w mono cyclic panel (which is more costly and not made in india) setup at 1.2lakh.
Where govt affiliated agency asked me 2lakhs after excluding 36k subsidy.
One thing should be discussed: mono and polycyclic solar panels

My point is that we should enquire all options 1. Govt affiliated bodies 2. Nearest private companies 3. Look for the suppliers of that area to buy yourself acc to ur requirements and hire professional help for Installation.
I chose 3rd option and I researched 50% and got 50% info from this friend. I hvnt installed it yet will install coming months once roof work is done.
Remember he reduced the profit margin and transportation bcz my home is on his way of supply route.
My opinion: if u are capable, find a frnd in this solar field and get the work done at a good deal, govt subsidy option is just to attract people.

In wbsedcl ppl used to take new connection in different name to just run ac , fridge,motor as the bill will be less dew to unit slabs but they stopped it and asked for ownership proof that you own the property. Happened to me.

I live in standalone apartment where 12 family resides in their own flat. We have cooperative, can we apply such scheme as cooperative? So that all members in the cooperative will be benefited from it.

Hello Shantanu, Cooperative Housing Societies are eligible under state subsidy programmes, but under National Solar Portal till now they have not provided provision for it. Can you register on our website for free solar consultation and we will evaluate all details and guide you on eligibility.
I wanted to opt for Rooftop Solar Panels but my only concern was there panels withstand stones, because my First Storied house is surrounded by neighboring buildings which are occupied by tenants who throw stones and garbage in my premises and roof top.

Panel can't with hold man handling, stones and not covered under warrenty
1. Build few more floors.

The best way to tacle it would be just built a next roof but that's a costly option and depends upon lot of factors.

You can install solar on a rented home by applying in the name of the original home-owner, but for you to make good returns on your investment you should be using your solar system for at least 15-20 years. Life of these systems is 25 years.

1.form filling for rooftop solar is very lengthy.
2.toll free number doesn't work.
3. shortfall messages in website after form filling.
Scheme is good on paper and video advertisements..but reality is very different.
