    i bought r8 and i love it, used it in church for wedding and it gave me great colors ,i sold my sony a7iii ,and even a7iv was in my shop list but 800 euros more were too much so i decided to go for r8 and in pair with my lumix s5 they do great job even in low light situations

      I was looking for someone owning both Canon R8 and Panasonic S5 and I'm happy to see you here. Would you be so kind to answer several questions? First of all, how strongly you miss IBIS with Canon R8 after S5? Are there situations where it is a drastic problem? How do you compare low-light capabilities of both? Is there a significant difference? I hesitate between the 2 cameras and your response will help me. thanks!

      Yeah man! There really is nothing I can not do with the R8 for my needs. I am using more than my A7iv actually. I think it is because it is lighter and easier to just grab and go! I like my A7iv too but convenience is the name of the game for the R8! Thank you checking out my Channel! 😊

      @@breakfastforyousoul Thanks for your reply! So if you speak about compactness which lenses you use with R8?

      @@harry54ck canon r8 has electronic ibis and it is good enough but cropped.Lumix s5 is just unbeatable in stabilization,i make weddings and use lumix for the dance many times with out stabilizer,.Low light capabilities is about the same but generally if you have to chose between these 2 i would say to go with lumix s5 and if you have the budget go fpr sii (here in Greece is only 150 euros difference) for having the better autofocus.Lumix has excellent dynamic range and image quality,dual cards ,big battery, plus nice colors as well as canon.The kitlens on lumix are amazing ,canon kitlens are not good ,and finally on the other hand , i use canon r8 with 50 mm lens specially because of light weight.

      R8 sucks. Just get a6700 or a6600

    I just started having a problem with my R8 and had to send it back. Every time I would hit the record button it would intermittently shut off. Super annoying and couldn’t record any video reliably

      I had that problem with a bad 3rd party battery, swapped it out with a different one, stopped using that one, and never had it happen since. So far I have been blessed with mine, no issues to date! Thanks for watching I appreciate it! 😊

    Request, compare the two cameras autofocus in stiills photography in dark situations trying to take photos of kids with 35mm lens. Typical situation for me here in Norway, where it is usually quite dark, except for the 5 minutes of summer we get.

    Should just use the r6ii for the comparison

    sony is having a higher noise reduction which is evident in the higher iso section of this video. technically a lower megapixel is supposed to do better in lower light.

      Yeah for sure! However both look great! The Sensor in the A7iv is amazing, but the Canon R8 sensor is also great! Cant beat the value for the R9 at 1000 dollars less!😊😊 Thanks for watching!😊😊

    Wow, color looks so much better on the Sony. Canon looks washed out and just a weird color cast. Huge point of note is the Sony records in 10bit in all codecs. You are forced to use CLog3 and have to grade in order to get 10bit color from the Canon.
    R8 is an awesome piece of kit but easier workload, more 10bit color options, better low light performance, better battery life, better overhear performance, IBIS, and way more lenses are all why the Sony cost more.

      I think the white balance also plays a role in the difference as well

      yeah sony is frustratingly cant get the AWB right and colours...i wont blame them as they are not a printing equipment manufacturer to begin with...so they are not an expert in colours@@punisher2455

    Is it just me or everyone else notice Canon seems have a bluish tone. Video wise I prefer how the Sony looks. The canon looks really dull.

    • @mbismbismb
      @mbismbismb ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nah its because sony is yellowish… if u din see sony footage in the first place… the canon is neutral colours

    • @saidharshini4187
      @saidharshini4187 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      bro what are you even saying, there is white balance issue. If it was corrected then canon would lean more towards orangish tone and sony has a flat tone(because it renders true colour as proved by gerald undone)@@mbismbismb

      Yeah it has an awesome sensor, and it is back side illuminated as well. Definitely love my A7iv. Gotta say though that Canon R8 punches way above its weight and I feel is the best Value Canon has in any camera they offer at the moment! Appreciate you watching and commenting! Thanks!😊😊
