What if the Red Hair Pirates and Cross Guild end up joining forces? The only one who wants to become Pirate King out of those crews seems to by Buggy. And if there is going to be a battle vs the Straw Hats, I would rather see that than seeing a bunch of people from Shanks crew that have never had any speaking lines. The only people I know from Shanks crew are Ben Beckman, Yasopp and Lucky Roo. At least with Criss Guild we've had interactions with all of the main characters. I think Luffy will face Blackbeard before he faces Cross Guild/Red Hair Pirates for the One Piece.

If Egghead is the inverse of Sabody, then it makes sense for Luffy to succeed now when Kidd and Law have failed. This would be to opposite result of Sabody, where Luffy's crew got wiped out while Kidd and Law's crews survived and proceeded into the New World
It’s very obvious that all of the New World territories are inverse of the East Blue and Paradise Islands territories, so of course Luffy and his crew isn’t going to get folded this time on Egghead Island.
There was an Ohara video pointing out Oda writing arcs that were the inverse of the first half compared to the second half (Alabasta/Dressrosa, Enies Lobby-Thriller Bark/Whole Cake-Wano), so Sabaody with Egghead is perfect. Especially a mirror with Kizaru being such an unstoppable force in the first half and Luffy destroying the hell out of him in Egghead. Ooo how far we’ve come
One key difference in the scenes of Law & Kidds defeats and Luffy's current situation that I immediately noticed; is that the former two were both trying to attack Yonko's in their home territory while Luffy is the one being attacked by the Navy in what is essentially HIS territory.

Everything from Dressrosa to the final few chapters of Wano was an extreme struggle for Luffy. He got his butt kicked by Doflamingo, Big Mom, Katakuri, and then Kaido (three times). It’s time for Luffy to take a few victory laps and flex his newfound power.

@bigsmall2842 It’s been stupidly good. A big rebound from Wano and a return to form with quality. It also comes off like a fusion of Sabondy archipelago and Punk Hazard. Two of my favorite OP arcs.

funny enough I think aside from Kid and Killer, Usopp beats the rest of his crew fairly easily
I've always thought this was the moment for the SH to show what differences or distinguishes them from the other 3M bounty crews (Law and Kid) since Luffys crew is the only one being acknowledged as a YONKO. It doesn't make sense for me if Luffy takes an L in EggHead while also taking an L outside of EggHead (Garp going missing). He's the new established Yonko crew so I see fit that we start seeing these four yonko crews going head to head in this race for the OP actually hyping up the new generation as actual contenders.
I think Zoro and Sanji vs Law and Kidd would be a dub for Zoro/Sanji very hard diff….THIS is the difference. The SH pirates are on ANOTHER level.

@@moistmellow1198Kidd's not too hard for those two, but Law's harder to figure out how difficult of a fight it would be. He has a lot of x-factors that make scaling him difficult. But, I think Zoro and Sanji could beat them, assuming they don't get in each other's way too much.

I think it's also important to note with this idea of Egghead mirroring Sabaody but with Luffy winning means the final saga of One Piece may somewhat reflect the Sabaody-Marineford saga, but with Luffy accomplishing win after win, instead of scraping by from defeat after defeat.
It may be less of a story of Luffy desperately and luckily scraping by to make it to a war where he's hopelessly outmatched, and instead a story of Luffy preparing himself for an all out war, calling all of his allies from the sidelines, and then headlining the event like Whitebeard did all those years back.
Now that Garp is captured I'm fully expecting this to snowball into a reverse Marineford, where Buggy + Blackbeard team up to take down Luffy and nab those poneglyphs by using his gramps as bait. Only question is whether the WG will decide they're busy that day.

Yeah, i feel like people dont know that there are ways to give your characters development without just giving them constant punishment and losses. Or that the only way to have stakes is to have your characters lose and fail.

I think people want him to take a L that means something. So far outside of sabaody and marineford Luffy hasn’t taken an L where he’s lost something. It’s usually he loses suffers no consequence. A certain group want him to lose and suffer some sort of consequence with this loss. For example say he loses then the straw hat grand fleet comes to get him out of impel down (randy Troy theory) that would be amazing for the story

In the moment most dire, the entire 5600-man Grand Fleet of 69 ships including a giant’s ship appearing to deblockade the Egghead Island would be one of most glorious moment in the series
Luffy’s fleet showing up and allowing luffy and the main crew to get shots in at kizaru and Saturn would be epic
Post Egghead, Egghead is considered to be the Strawhats home base, similar to Hachinose for Blackbeard, Elbaf for Shanks, Wano for Kaido, etc.
Official or unofficial, a Vegapunk or more will be a part of the Strawhats.
Next arc, Vivi will take her rightful place in the crew, and fill the spot Oda's been teasing at filling since Dressrosa.
Finally, the crew moves to Elbaf, where what starts as a Davyback fight with the Redhair pirates, turns into a traditional Shounen power scaling battle between Luffy and Shanks as ideals are challenged, and Luffy is forced to prove that He is Him.
Willing to bet we then get the final war with the World Government post Elbaf, before the series wraps up with Luffy making his final journey to Laugh Tale.
Luffy and friends all party with the giant bottle of Bink's Sake, The End.

There is no way Straw Hat crew can have an official base. Luffy won't stay on a single island long enough for it to be his base. He's in the New World for adventure, not to rule as Emperor.

All the pieces on Imu's game board are about to clash! Imu's a black king/queen chess piece. Luffy is the opposite piece. He had to do the pawn to queen route across the game board. After Roger was out of play. The grid Imu uses is a big hint. 'It was close' the reach of his zone of control. The straw hat is like a game piece.

Not only Luffy should be considered a Yonko, the story can now scale accordingly. Remember in Naruto where the jump from basic elemental jutsu to mountain-destroying ones was super sudden? This can happen now in One Piece, but it's EARNED that boost. We stood in awe when Whitebeard created a tsunami with his bare hands in Marineford. Well, now that level of power is the norm, or at least close to it. Luffy's Nika powers, Shanks's monstruous haki, Blackbeard's expert DF usage, Garp and Koby's Impacts, and who knows what the Gorosei and the God Knights are capable of. Unlike other series, I think One Piece earned its right to do landscape-leveling battles. And even if it doesn't have any, it's still a highly engaging series. One Piece will be sorely missed when it's over, so let's enjoy it while we can.
It was literally established in the first chapter of Naruto that a tailed beast could destroy mountains with a wave of its tail. The last chapters of Naruto fulfilled that promise.
Having a yonko already face defeat in an all out war at marineford,it wouldn't be smart to have the marines enter the final saga without having a major loss against a yonko.

Pretty crazy, if you think about it, in the last gen after White Beard defeat, Shanks was surrounded by an Yonko he wasn't friendly with, Kaido, Big Mom, and Blackbeard. Shanks already fought both Blackbeard and Kaido, while Big Mom is from the same place as Kaido.
But now, his surrounded by people he respects, Buggy, and Luffy. Just not Blackbeard. Idk, I thought it was crazy to think how the tables had turned if that make sense. Lol XD

You could argue that Blackbeard also respects Shanks and the threat he represents. If he hadn’t treated Red Hair with the proper caution and respect, he’d have gone after Shanks at Marineford.
And gotten absolutely thrashed.
Old gen vs new gen.
The previous ones were 3/4 former Rocks Pirates who laid claim to fame 50 years ago, whereas none of the current ones were even adults when this era started.
I was actually thinking the same thing, Luffy needs to prove to the world that him becoming Yonko was not a mere fluke. And honestly, with the sheer might of Egghead island, allience with CP agents (and possibly a team up with black beard pirates?), they might be able to pull it off. First of all, I do not think Saturn will fight directly in this conflict, since it would be too risky for him to engage. If the marines lose Saturn, not only they will lose control over Seraphims, but also destroy their reputation. I think Saturn will take the control over Seraphims and will examine the fight from afar. Luffy's main opponent will be Kizaru and other strawhats will have to deal with Seraphims, as well as Punk records and CP agents would have to hold off other ships. The marines will gradually lose the battle and the last straw for retreat could be the defeat of Kizaru. This way, strawhats will prove themselves as a powerhouse of the New World and WG will take over Seraphims for the final battle.
Mihawk doesn’t carry the Cross guild alone. Crocodile and Buggy are both brilliant schemers, and they have that strength and experience to run a huge organisation that’s why they are successful in just a short period of time. Mihawk alone can’t scare the government. It takes massive groups and influence to get the attention of the higher ups.

I believe luffys bounty is intentionally low, to make him not look like he's several times stronger then everyone else. Realistically, Luffy and his crew are probably the biggest issue to the Marines and world government, considering Nico robin on the crew, but inflating luffys bounty several billion more then it just was would probably throw the world into chaos.

Honestly, I do not understand why people are so obsessed with Luffy still being the weaker one, we are in the final saga and most are still convinced that Kizaru will just destroy the crew like he did back then. However, at the emd of the day it still depends on what Oda will write.

Kizaru is one of the least serious admirals, so it makes sense there. The biggest reason he was so much trouble in Sabaody is because nobody had Haki in the crew, and there was no clear counter like with other logia users before. Honestly, if this is a warm-up, then it would be a warm-up for what they should expect going forward.

The only supernove who we didn't really see after timeskip was Urouge. This egghead is Bonny's arc so I assume we would see him either in BB or Elbaf.
Urouge is from a sky island, and Elbaf appears to have a gigantic mountain or tree, so one theory suggests that a sky island (asgard?) exists on top of Elbaf. Gan Fall in Skypeia also mentioned a place called High West were you could get to Sky Islands, and Elbaf is in rhe western side of the world, so all things point to that, thus Urouge being the supernova there makes sense.

Wow, the parallels between Egghead and Sabaody have been right there the whole time. Really fascinating. If Oda were to actually have the Straw Hats lose it would be wild and hard to resolve at this point. So even though I’m gambling on them winning most likely, how they’ll pull it off is very unclear at the moment. Which just has me beyond excited for everything that’s to come.
Well, remember that there's a giant warrior robot at Egghead. Most likely they'll find Stella and free him at some point, whereas he'll in turn, turn on the giant robot somehow.
That thing can probably take care of all the battleships, and the SH have CP0 on their side as well. With Stella free, Eggheads defenses are probably gonna be a bitch for the marines.

Completely agree with all of this. I see way way way too many people that think that the strawhats will get destroyed. Completely missing the narrative that is being set up and also the point of the Nika plot twist was to reframe Luffy away from the rubber man that always has to bounce back, getting knocked down but always coming back up again. It would make no sense to just immediately return to the structure of Luffy gets destroyed by antagonist and then has to bounce back from that defeat and overcome the challenge to improve. He is now one of the very best and just needs to prove it, not improve to become one of the best.
15:00 I don't like this part here. Stand by what you said and explained in this video instead of covering both sides to then give props to Oda for anything he choses to do. Randomly getting defeated here would just be a cheap plot twist for shock value and does nothing for the narrative that has been built up right now. If he actually gets defeated by Kizaru here or some shit then I'll completely change my mind on the Nika reveal being a good plot twist.

Luffy's true Yonko power is his ability to make allies, and egghead is definitely set up to show that while Luffy's strength is in his genuineness and ability to make friends, he's still strong enough alone to be called a Yonko.
Buggy's strength is his devil's luck,
Shanks' strength is his crew,
And Blackbeard's strength is his cunning and ability to control.
Alongside their strengths as yonko, they are all exceptionally strong fighters (except for buggy, but his devil's luck would likely win him a fight).

I think Egghead will turn into an ongoing seige where Luffy's Grand Fleet will show up to save the day, allowing his escape!
This way, Luffy doesn't just seize a win, but he does so through his position of Emperor and the powerful subordinates that accompany that position.
The Strawhats escaping with even one of the Vegapunks would be considered a huge win for them in the eyes of the world. They fought off a navy armada larger than what was called for even Whitebeard... and got away. That they had to leave the island is nothing. They're pirates. They are at home on the sea, and with even one of the Vegapunks, the navy has completely failed in just about every objective.

Law was a Warlord over the timeskip, plus he is also a D member. We'll see him again. He is intertwined with Luffy's story, from saving his life at Marineford and allying with him 3 times. Yes BB defeated him but BB is the ultimate big bad.

Great video. I do believe that unlike Sabody, the Egghead Incident should most likely be when Luffy truly worthy of bearing the burden that the Emperor title has to offer.
However, I don't believe Oda will make Kizaru & Saturn lose very easily since I doubt the Admiral did nothing since the last time he was seen in action, and Saturn has recently proven that he isn't like Charlos!
For now I hope Luffy will never start becoming arrogantly confident & believe every enemy after Kaidou will be powerless in comparison to him! Otherwise he'll end like Kid, Law, and even Ace if not worse!

I'm probably getting too hyped up but the fact that Luffy hasn't actually taken an L yet in the Egghead arc is REALLY getting me excited to see the first One Piece arc where Luffy isn't defeated by the main antagonist at least once before bouncing back and winning. Really hoping that the Straw Hats & Vegapunk completely dominate and their sheer, raw dominance over such a massive Navy fleet is what shocks the world to its core.
It's simple, it needed to be showcased not only to the world of one piece but to the readers that Kid and Law did not deserve that 3 bil and only received it due to misinformation spread by Apoo. Luffy will succeed where they failed because he is worthy of his title, status, bounty etc. and more and the world of one piece and readers of the story need to know that before the final war begins.
Edit: In my personal opinion Law should be realizing he shouldn't have left the strawhats and should be crawling his way over to egghead to beg them to let him back in lmao
