Ok, just to make things clear, theor is a folklore god in the caribbean, dating back to slave days named Joyboy. The Irl Joyboy is the "Spirit of the Drums" and made to to give people joy in hard times. Sounds like a certain one piece character

I think it has more to do with Romance Dawn. Romance seems to take a meaning relative to the origin of the word which comes from Roman. The ancient stories of adventurous knights saving the world and bringing chivalry to the people they save. This is the Dawn of the World.

Also, Oda has said that the crew building is over and that technically you can start One Piece from Egghead because of that (but I disagree with that statement)
...To be fair, every single one of them feels MUCH MORE STRONGLY than the last to actually join. Carrot had a LOT more crew-joining potential than anyone in Dressrosa; Yamato seemingly MUCH more than carrot for as shortly as we knew them; and Boney now MUCH, MUCH more than EITHER of them with everything that's happened with her. And I'd be happy if she did, and/or any earlier ones (including Vivi) come back in the endgame and become 'final voyage companions' like Crocus and Oden were for Roger; however at this point I'm just not sure. Maybe they'll each command new portions of the Grand Fleet instead.

If the gear 5th form isnt a devil fruit ability, but is instead the result of someone becoming truly free, then maybe the 5 elder’s demonic forms are the result of them being the opposite of truly free. Their demonic form contrasts with luffy’s gear 5 form and it could explain why they can go in water without issues.
Dalton was someone who died as well. "Died" in the sense that his heart had stopped, but the freezing temperatures preserved him for a short while and the Isshin 20 were able to resuscitate him.
I wanna say these last few chapters have been crazy but realistically its been basically this entire arc. Reveal after reveal, bombshell after bombshell with some of the biggest heartbreak in the series sprinkled in.
All its done is magnify my excitement for this last saga of One Piece. What an amazing time to be a One Piece fan

Personally I think she will join the crew soon. She's a perfect fit for them and it ties in with her be like Oden character quirk. I think either blackbeard pirates will invade wano for the ancient weapon and it'll somehow force her to meet with the strawhats or maybe the other option is momo will tell her she's not needed on wano but instead needed by the side of the future pirate king

Most people don't dislike it because its a plot hole or because they thought it would make her as strong as Luffy.
Some people simply don't like the main characters design being given to a side character.
A thing could be hinted or foreshadowed on but doesn't make it less shit when it happens.
I Would have preferred she attempted to turn into future Nika, but the transformation failed, and it said something like "Not even Bonney could envision this level of freedom." At the end of the day, whatever Oda wants to write, is what I want to be written.

When you mentioned Shaman King, i often consider Yoh Asakura's brother Hao as the Blackbeard of the series. And it is mostly because they are part of the same family, just like how Luffy & Teach are both D. Carriers.

To me the way boar elder was drawn in that final page he was leaping off egghead island going straight for the giants ship without ever needing to make contact with the water. It makes sense this is possible since worm elder was shown to bring the ship a lot closer to land with his impressive throat “abilities”
I stand by yamato is on their gap arc and is coming back after egghead when the cover story is over. Its an easy way to write them out of egghead instead of just having them knocked out like with robin

I honestly believe that Oda is in ok health and the shorter chapters are simply because he has so much work on his hands. He is making the manga weekly, helping with the Live Action that clearly is in filming for season 2 right now, likely will be majorly involved with the new anime as well as the current one and he has been writing more for new games and movies the last few years. Dude has a lot of projects to deal with and they only seem to be ramping up not slowing down. You get less of the main story for spinoffs and retellings with him at the front. That honestly seems to show he is at the top of his game in health to deal with when we have other creators who can hardly just keep up with a single project being the manga like our other gem of the island nation making Hunter X Hunter. That is what you can point to and go “I hope they are in good health.” He simply can’t work on other projects and the one he is doing is slow to release. I wish them both and many other creators the absolute best and a long lived future to see their creations until the end and hope for more after then.

As much as a slower pace means more waiting, it also means postponing the day it all ends so I don't know how I feel.
Also, another appeal for Franky! He doesn't need haki to be as strong as a haki user. Instead of willing his body to 'be like iron', he found a better alloy and built himself out of that. In terms of strength his system can produce enough air pressure for Franky to fly, with passengers. You need haki to fight Franky, he doesn't need it to fight you. But he's also not really a fighter. He gets a kick out of using his toys but he doesn't seem to spend any time training or anything.

By the old pace there are legitimately about 5 years worth of chapters (200ish) left in the story, its just that its now gonna take us a lot longer than 5 years to do that same amount of story

2 things
1. Instead of haki A way for Franky to get a better hook is to have his hand coated with sea prism
2. What happens if Franky does have armament haki but because his body is already more durable since he's made of metal he doesn't have to put that many layers of haki on to harden him self to the same as a person using a full coating on a squishy body so it will be enough layers that it will hurt others but not be seen
Having just gotten to Marineford in the anime, I am thoroughly convinced that Oda could make the whole next arc a mech fighting series and I would not complain.
