Comfort wise, in this line up I've found the LG and Nothing to be the most comfortable. The Nothing does very well with ANC as well as the Realme, oppo and OnePlus.

Superb review!! Surprised the Realme Buds Air 3 sounded so bad as I use the Air 2 daily (most comfortable stem style earbuds to date). Truly miss the Buds Z2 as my L ear is a little smaller and would not stay in. Nothing Ear 1 mic sounds best on your mic tests. May have to give the Oppo a try. Thx!!

I do love bass and also fuller balanced sound signature. Will Jbl 230 be better than z2 for my preference? Since z2 bass is overpowering.
The JBL handles bass with better structure. It has better detail presentation than the Z2, so I do prefer the 230NC. The Z2 is heavy bloat in the bass region, whereas the 230NC is tighter, so if you prefer better detail and quality in sound, the 230 is the way to go.

Hey Paul I have a doubt, in the LG FP5 tws if I adjust the EQ setting on one device and them pair it with other device like the iPad or laptop, will the settings be the same or are they reverted to original, cause you said the original was bad, ????
Shifting between devices it does change profiles so you'll have to have the app access on each device to put these on an EQ mode otherwise they get thin sounding.

Hi KG. I think you'll need something more secure than the JBL and Buds Air 3. My experience with them is, their housing feels a bit too large for my ears so they do feel like they'll fall out anytime, although they never have.
As crazy as this sounds, have a look at my video on the Soundcore Life Dot 2 NC. It was from over a year ago but they are a higher end set of earphones and have superb features and sound great too. They have winglets so hold the ear well without hurting your ears over longer usage sessions and I've seen them being sold for a much lower price than what I got it for.

Hello sir. I am using oneplus buds z2. The first one i replaced because of some technical issue in right earbud. In the second one firmware version is not updating to 600.600.580 as it is showing 600.600.489 updated version. So can you suggest what should I do to get the latest firmware update
Mine is also on 489. I've noticed that sometimes the app only reflects the new update a few days or weeks later. Don't stress about it, especially if your earphones are working well. A lot of people don't like to update their softwares if their earphones are working well.
Its been 2months after replacement. And I dont know is there any big difference in 580 or not. So should I be worried?

Signature wise most people are following a very similar one but the over all clarity you get from the LG trumps the Realme any day. Meridian has nailed the tuning with the FP5.

Of all the earphones/headphones I've tested, only the Sony WF & WH 1000XM4's support LDAC and I will highly recommend either of them. They're terrific sets to own.

Which is the best for calling? Tws or neckband. I have a budget of 5k and unable to decide. I mostly use for my office meetings throughout the day.
I havent tested neckbands so wouldn't want to give you any wrong information Saurav. If you want to use any of these earphones for calls, you can give the call chapter a listen to see how your recipient will hear you. If you're using Teams, the JBL is a big no because it's not supported on that platform for some reason. It's not something I've tested myself but a few viewers have informed me about it.

I've tested the Life Dot 2 NC, if you're getting it for around that price it's a superb deal for it and is superior than the other two when it comes to how they sound.

If you're already happy with the JBL sound signature, you might be better off with the JBLs over the Nothings. Give my comparison a look between those two models, I go in detail there about them.

I prefer the JBL 230 NC on a sound front.
Buds air 3 has better ANC performance but is quite bad for calls, so if you're on many calls, rule out the Buds Air 3.
My preference is call quality and bass ..i m confused between 250 NC and one plus Z2 can u suggest
Feel free to check out the call quality chapter and see which ones performance works for you.
On a bass front, the Z2 has more size to it. It sounds big and these earphones can get quite loud. The 230NC on the other hand is more composed and is better defined. I prefer the 230NC because it's able to give better clarity and structure in its over all sound and bass. The Z2 isn't too great with its detail recovery compared to the 230NC.
Paul, quick question for you. Jabra elite 4 active is also available for 5999. Plus card discount. It has APTX. Do you think high quality codec with same streaming quality of Spotify (320Kbps) does help sound to give an effect like open stage?
APTX isn't quite enough data compared to AAC to see a significant difference in audio. If it were LDAC then perhaps. Staging will depend on how they've tuned and constructed the drivers. Haven't tested these to know for certain.

I usually don't make any judgment on call quality because each person's perspective on it is quite different. Have a look at the call quality chapters and see which one you'd prefer. I've found that the JBL 230 NC and Nothing Ear1 performed the best in my demos. The OnePlus Buds Z2 and Oppo Enco Air 2 Pro also perform well enough. So, it's best to listen to those demos and decide for yourself.

Heavy bass and loudness is the Z2 for sure. The 230NC isn't as heavy in the bass. It's better defined though, but they don't get as loud as the Z2. I think you'd prefer the Z2 based on what you've described what you're looking for.

Z2 performs better with ANC. Better suppression than the JBL. But, I did have an issue with my first unit...there was a hissing sound that gradually kept getting louder over time. Oneplus acknowledged it as being a manufacturing defect and replaced my unit. There were a lot of people who faced the same issue and sometimes still do with new units. This is something to he aware of if you plan on buying them.

Sony and oppo do have their own little tweaks to form their own character and signatures. If you like the Sony sound, you may take some time go get used to the oppos. I don't think you'll find the oppos to be as crisp as your Sony. In this price range, I've tested the oppo enco air 2 pro and Realme Buds Air 3 and find myself liking the oppos a bit more since they sound a bit more natural.

On the receiving end for me it's clear but many factors would come into play like the person's mic, coverage etc. If you want to know how it performs for your recipient, give the demo a listen in the call quality chapter and see if it works for you or not.

Sadly I haven't had enough time with the C500 to know for certain so I wouldn't want to give you any wrong information. I only had a first impressions with it but remember quite liking the way it sounded. On a feature front it doesn't have ANC and touch controls like the JBL though.
