    I only came here for the call demo, but thank you thank you thank you for doing a real-life scenario call demo! I keep seeing people sitting in-doors playing simulated scenarios off of their speakers to test "real-life scenarios" and it frustrates me to no end, because it is only a simulation, not an actual real-life scenario that could sound a lot different than the simulated scenario off of speakers sound like.
    Unfortunately, the microphones on these sound just a little too unnatural to me, and I am pretty sure people would complain about the sound of my voice when speaking through these.
    But still, thank you for including this real-life scenario call demo! :)

    🙏 Thank you for the really amazing video and it took me some time to comment though I had what this video long ago when it was posted.
    05:02 is my favourite part in all your videos were the *call quality* is tested and yes the *Voice Aware* feature is really amazing and very helpful specially while talking on the TWS on Voice Calls, when you are driving (though I don't know how legal it is)
    When you were shifting from the voice aware levels and Vice Versa, yes, there was just a One second of kind of *wind noise* coming in which vanished and did not return back.
    The ENC was amazing and all over the Mic recording, your voice was amazingly constant, despite the changes you made in the app settings.
    Truly, this is worth it since you have already compared the *ANC quality as good as that of NOTHING*
    Thanks for your efforts 🙂

      These earphones support any Native voice assistant depending on which phone they're connected to. You do have the option to use Google Assitant or Amazon Alexa which you can enable from within the JBL app. Once any of these are enabled, it bypasses the native assistant on your phone to use the selected one. I personally don't use Voice Assistants so wouldn't be able to give you an indepth analysis of it but I hope this information helps.

      The ENC on these does let in a little but of noise for sure, it's not as good as the Nothing Ear 1 ENC as you'll see in the comparison I've done between the two. Try switching off ANC when on a call and see if it improves at all for your recipient. Your voice should be carried over clearly even if there is some noise filtering through though. These have good mics.

    Great review. I'm looking for heavy bass sounds and wondering which one of these two would do the job. My budget is either for 230nc or Beats studio buds. I kind of like this one simply because I like to be aware of my surroundings so complete noise isolation would makes me feel unsettle. Appreciate any input. Thank you.

    • @PaulsPOV
      @PaulsPOV ปีที่แล้ว

      I havent tested the Beats studio so wouldn't want to comment on those.
      The 230NC do have a transparency mode so you're not always on ANC mode. It's upto you when you want to be in that mode. The 230NC is able to deliver more than adequate bass to my taste without being over exaggerated or obnoxious. I've been enjoying their sound but I would also reccomend giving the LG FP5 a look. It sounds terrific, it does deliver sound slightly better than the JBL, the only drawback being, it's ANC isn't as good as it will bleed in more noises than the JBL.
      Feel free to give my review on it a look.
      Hope it helps.

    Hello Paul,
    I've found your reviews to be very precise and straightforward but I have a very pressing question for which I don't seem to get a clear answer from other tech channels that I've come across.
    Does these have a latency while consuming video content (Not gaming just watching videos) on Android?

    • @PaulsPOV
      @PaulsPOV ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. These do have a significant amount of lag when consuming video compared to the likes of the Nothings or LG FP5 that I've reviewed recently. Even when you put it onto its low latency mode. Since you've asked at the right time (I'm in the middle of recording a long term report) I'll try and include a demo of how they lag.

    Bro im facing noice cancelling issues with my jbl 230 nc tws. Even after activating anc im hearing background voice. Do i need to return these buds?

    • @PaulsPOV
      @PaulsPOV 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If the ANC is on, some voices and sounds can bleed in but they should be at a much lower level than when the ambient aware or talk thru settings are on. If it's at the same level as those then there's something wrong. If so, try resetting the earphones and see if it sorts the issue out. If even then it's doing the same thing, it's worthwhile connecting with the JBL customer care number to find out how to sort the issue out or replace the unit.

      I remember really liking the C500 for a first impressions video. Sadly I haven't had enough time with them for an indepth review so wouldn't be able to comment on them but I'm planning on comparing the JBL with the Nothings soon in a comparison review.

      No difference between the two. Worthwhile knowing that these won't work with MS Teams for some reason and they do have a very slow latency period compared to other earphones I've tested. So, big no for gaming. Okay ish for movie consumption, you get used to it.

    Hi , i just bought jbl tune230 however the left earbud is not charging right out of the box. I contacted the shop they just tell me to clean the pin with alcohol. Feel really disappointed. Just want to know if others have also faced same issue.

    • @PaulsPOV
      @PaulsPOV ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I've had a few people mention this same issue with their 230NC. JBL should offer a replacement. Temporary fixes like this shouldn't be accepted. Have a look at Indias right to repair policies and show them to a service center.
      My unit hasn't had this issue yet. I did think this was an initial batch issue, but if your new set is doing this, it's a bigger problem.

    • @PaulsPOV

      I haven't yet tested the Wave Beam, so I wouldn't know which one trumps the other in certain aspects just yet. But I'm planning on reviewing the wave beam soon.
      The 230NC is a really nice sounding set of earphones though. I was surprised when I found myself preferring it to the sound of the Nothing Ear1 in one of my comparisons. It's a good performer for certain.

    • @PaulsPOV

      These do tend to lag a bit more than other earphones, so if you're watching with VLC, you can adjust the delay as I do when consuming video from that app. With other apps you won't have that advantage.

      @@PaulsPOV Thank you, you are awesome. Although, i was just reading on the reviews at Amazon and most people are complaining about one of the earbuds stop working. Sadly I haven't tested those, but yes, I've had a few people write in and tell me about this very issue you're mentioning. My unit hasn't yet given me any such issues thankfully. But why take a chance and have to run between a busy life and a service center. Let me know what you think about your Jabras when you get them.

    Am surprised with your subscriber base. Should be far more. Keep doing what you do, crowd will mature. Every word you say is carefully scripted and honestly i listen to reviews while driving since the impact is more than the visual. You should consider podcasting too.
    This JBL sounds like something i will like to buy. How does it compare to the nothing's? I still use the oppo puck you had recommended and i still love it over the nothing's and my Bose sports (thr non ANC). I use the Bose when am out exercising but my go to is the oppo purely for the way the driver's are tuned, quick connection due to the bt5. Other features incouldnt care less for but then i like to collect buy all rounders and mid priced tech.
    Btw u seem like a person who i could share a drink with and talk in detail abt any thing tech.

      Thanks man. I appreciate the positivity. Keeps me going. You're still using the W31? I really liked those but handed them over to my mum when she said she liked how they sound. Almost two years later she accidentally put them into the machine for a wash and one bud gave up the ghost. Some how the case and the other bud still work.
      My next video is going to be these vs the Nothings. Interested to see how they fare against one another.
      Are you using the bose sports I reviewed some time back? Always liked those.

      @@PaulsPOV Yrs the oppos are super. Yes i still use the Bose. Thry work great outdoors and i don't carry the case and the left bud, i just carry the right one in thr pocket, battery lasts for abt 4 hrs so and go on standby extending the usage beyond 4 hrs. Grt for calls. For music it depends if u like Bose in general then yea. Works grt with half helmets and the fit is the best when i compare with nothing's or the airpod pro or even the Sony 1000.

      Paul can you suggest me a pair of TWS with multipoint connectivity? Need one for work laptop and phone at the same time. Mid range as usual.... Type C is important.

    • @PaulsPOV
      @PaulsPOV 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The only ones I've tested with multi point pairing are the Realme Buds Air 3 and OnePlus Buds Z2. The Realme connects to two devices simultaneously where as the Z2 you have to press and hold a bud for it to jump over to the secondary device. Would not recommend the Realme if you need em for calls though. These JBLs and Nothings can connect to various devices but you'll need to go into the device you want it to connect to and select it in the BT settings. They only connect to a primary device. A bit of a head ache, yes, but I feel they sound better than the previous two Buds I mentioned.

      Hi Jigar, thank you for your kind words. If you're looking for a good sounding set of earphones for your recipient, it can be a very subjective matter which is why I provide demo samples of calls in my indepth reviews or comparisons. Feel free to give them a look and compare them. I'm certain you'll find a set you like. Of all the ones I've reviewed, I find that any recipients find me sounding clearest with the Nothing Ear 1 and JBL Tune 230NC lately. The OnePlus Buds Z2 are also not bad but the Realme Buds Air 3 I wouldn't recommend to anyone considering how badly they do. In that segment, the Oppo Air 2 Pro do much better with calls.
      So I'd reccomend you listen to the demos I've provided to have a little more clarity. I hope they help you come to a conclusion. If you do have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

    • @PaulsPOV
      @PaulsPOV ปีที่แล้ว

      That's most likely your ANC freaking out with the sudden change in volume and frequencies coming in for the system to accommodate an alternate canceling frequency. It's common with ANC devices, even very high end ones. Try switching the ANC off, it should do it with it off. Then again, having ANC off while travelling beats the purpose of having it. Experiment with this and see what suits you the best.
