I paid 220 Euros excluding tax in Europe so I guess the US should be in the 230-240USD ballpark. Look it up in their store.

Force feedback would be amazing for heli sims, and a force sensing base would be great for F16's (and even space sims)

Virpil, you need to make a short version of the TCS base or a kit to modify the base so that the Apache collective is not so long!!

How would i connect this to my Sim-PIt ? Like would it have to go onto a chair? i want to be able to tuck this away when done and not have it protruding out and in the way of my other controls for regular planes setups. Any ideas? In other words, I wouldn't want it permanently connected to my big gaming chair, it would certainly get in the way of trying to fly with a yoke and my other controls.

Probably not because you can just attach the thrustmaster stick to a Virpil bass.

@@harksgaming7455 Virpil products are better way better the cm3 is the best throttle I’ve ever owned can’t see myself changing it for anything. Virpil sticks are amazing too but they aren’t metal I think only the constellation is. but what really matters is the base the grip is on. That’s where the game starts to change.
I was thinking of getting the winwing f-16 throttle and the virpil brd-d base and the constellation alpha prime @@RW-zn8vy What do you think? Good or bad or should I go completely Virpil. I am looking to play DCS with this and mainly on the F-16
@@harksgaming7455 I personally have never owned any winwing so I can’t say but I’ve heard good things about them. As for Virpil I’ve never owned a better base than the warbird-d and Virpil has literally the most helpful and best customer service. you might want to look at tge cm3 throttle or a dual throttle from winwing because you’ll end up flying more than the viper.

Can I put this on a z extension?
Can you clarify something at 0:58 or so? You say "3-way toggle switch" and (ON)-OFF-(ON), does this mean that it's momentary in both directions? That seems like a really odd choice considering the real switch (based on the labels) is supposed to be ON when pushed up/fwd, and OFF when centered. So you can't replicate the real behavior with this switch?
I’m pretty sure it is (on)-off-(on), as this can be confirmed on their product page, and they have done similarly with the KA-50 grip as well (IIRC). I don’t know what the switch is used for, but depending on usage it may not be a big issue. But I agree, why not add a switch like in the real one.
From the labels, I think it's the search light power/stow switch.
This is one of the biggest annoyances. Switches that are momentary are almost useless as there is never any indication of its state by touch or glance…
@@MrBob6939 If you play in VR you’ll see the state, but if not, then it’s annoying.
VPC makes both kinds of toggles, two-way that spring back to center and three way that stay in place so it's hard to say until the part arrives.
Hi guys, I have never used a virpil hardware and I'm considering purchasing the Apache grip a my first. What base should I go with to compliment the grip. Your help and advise is much appreciated. Thank you

If that’s all you plan to fly, since the twist-grip on the Apache only changes friction then you could get either VirPil collective base. If you are going to fly something with a twist-grip that controls engines at some point, you should go with the Rotor Plus. Hopefully this helps!
