    Solids are so much trickier to apply than solids BC of the wrinkle/bubble factor but that plastic cuticle pusher is such a great idea. I usually apply my strips at night, let them cure overnight then the next morning and put my own speedy top coat on by Deborah Lipmann. I've never doubled up my strips so I'll have to try that trick with the pale sets. Love the tips and tricks videos! Keep them coming!! TFS!

    If these lift or chip easily I always use a base coat first and the color street sticks on amazingly better and never lifts up and I seal it all as good as possible with the top coat.

    Do you use a cuticle cutter to cut down your cuticles or do you recommend not to do that? I find my cuticles are very dry.

    • @melissahaole8105
      @melissahaole8105  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi Jesenia, thank you for watching. I don't cut down my cuticles. I think because I push them back so often I don't need to do that. Also, when you cut them it's possible to accidentally cut into the skin which can become an entry point for infection.
      For the dry weather, often application of moisturizers on your hands and cuticle oils can really help. Also, if you do need to cut down your cuticles and do not feel comfortable doing it yourself, you might choose to get a manicure from a professional just to get your hands back in great shape. I hope this helps. :)

    Great video. Very helpful. I am a first time user. Just bought five solid colors. My concern is that I noticed you have to tuck the end under your existing nail. I essentially have nothing to tuck it under, my nails are so short. I have very problem nails. It's literally normal for me to break two or three nails a day, so they're very, very short. Down to the skin. Can I still use these? How would I do that? I was really hoping I could make my nails look longer with these. Is that at all possible? Thanks for your input.

    • @melissahaole8105
      @melissahaole8105  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Rhona, thank you for watching. Yes, if you have little to no free edge of your nail you can still use Color Street. I recommend using a nail l file to remove the excess from your nails. I would also suggest double layering your strips. The double layering will make your polish harder and I think that might help you see the results you are hoping for which is longer nails. If you haven't joined our Facebook group please do and let me know how it works out for you. :) facebook.sassygirlnails.com

    Melissa, How do apply your leftovers? Yes, I know they are 100% nail polish and are not guaranteed a 2nd use. Some people have told me they use their leftovers all the time. I have had no luck and don't want to throw them away. Can you help???

    • @melissahaole8105
      @melissahaole8105  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Jana Wallace in order to save them you need to store them properly. One method is to put the extras back in the plastic sleeve they came in and heat seal the end with a hair flat iron or food sealer. The other method is store them in a ziplock and keep in the freezer. When you want to use them pull out just the ones you want and let them get to room temp and then apply. I hope that helps :)

You can do most things straight away because these are 95% dry when you open the package, it’s not like the liquid nail polish where you have to wait a long time to touch anything. I hope this helps
