    I just discovered this product two days ago. The glitter sample on my baby finger is holding strong through decopaging, dishes, cleaning etc. I'm very impressed so far. I can take this product on cruises to keep my nails fresh and beautiful. Will be placing an order. Thx for your tutorial.

      The Urban Angels Youth Ministry thank you for watching my video. You are going to love Color Street. I recommend starting with a glitter, they are the easiest to apply.

      You will absolutely love them!! My girlfriend got me hooked. Bought the stylist kit for myself to use but ended up starting to sell them to my coworkers!! Love the options to mix and match. Plus love that one strip can usually do two nails!! Cover them with a coat of clear polish and they will last a couple weeks.

    I've always called that an orange stick. CUT the strip in half FIRST, and then you arent bending, twisting and handling the adheasive side of the piece you arent yet using. These strips are actually easier than you make it look. Shouldn't have to do any side trimming. You picked a piece to wide for that nail.

    • @djondjon
      @djondjon ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe she stated in the video that the strip was too wide. My guess is that she may have done this purposely to instruct about cause of lifting, how to fix strios that are too wide, etc.

  • @CynthiaMUrban
    @CynthiaMUrban 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I would suggest lining the strip up on one side along with the back, and smooth, and then you would only have to trim one side?

    I have put 4 sets on now and I still think glitters don't bubble/wrinkle as much as glitters like you're doing here or maybe they're just less noticeable BC of the sparkle.......

      I guess they've been around for a while then. LOL I learned that they are not named for the color but from the type of wood they are made from which is orange wood. Not sure if what I purchase now is actual orange wood or if the name has just stuck around over the years.

    I just placed my first order. After opening they will dry out correct? If you wanted to use one or multiples to get as much use out of the product. So if you do that say you using one set will the other one dry out sense its been opened? I hope it works out for me because i wash and clean nail beds and normal polish just peels right off i have to use gel polish its the only thing that stays on my nails.Thank you

    • @melissahaole8105
      @melissahaole8105  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Angela, welcome to Color Street. You are correct. Because our product is 100% nail polish it will start to dry out when exposed to air. If you have leftovers that you want to save I recommend putting them back in the original sleeve and then heat seal them with a hair flat iron. A regular iron would work as well. In this video I show how I save my leftovers. th-cam.com/video/CZ09Vpf6gEM/w-d-xo.html
      I hope this product works well for you too. If you have oily nail beds (which may be the reason normal polish peels right off) you might want to clean them with acetone before applying your strips, this will not only clean your nail bed but also dry them out a bit (dehydrate them). I only recommend that step if you have oily nail beds. Also, just washing your hands with regular soap can add oils to your nails too.

      So there’s no point in trying to make one cover two.

    • @dreamweaver5048
      @dreamweaver5048 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Angela Mills Oh sure there is! Be careful trying to save for too long after sealing the pkg. Anything longer than 3-5 days is risky. Maybe a little longer if you can get a real good seal with a flat iron. But if you wait longer than that you may regret it bc they’ll be dried out. Also FYI (1) Color Street pkg is only meant to be used for 1 Single use. You can already easily get a mani/pedi out of one package. But each pkg isn’t intended to get as many applications as possible. One time and that’s it. It would be nice if they could have both strips in 2 sep pkgs.

    • @PoohBah

      I’ll just toss them. Thank you

    • @dreamweaver5048
      @dreamweaver5048 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Angela Mills I wouldn’t necessarily toss them. Seal them up after using them and see how it goes. If they’re sealed with getting all of the air out they’ll be fine. Color Street just doesn’t guarantee them to be usable after resealing them. So even though they don’t recommend it, we’d like to not waste them and use at a later date. Some people have had luck blow drying the nail strips to heat them up if they’ve dried. So it all just depends.

    Do you have any tips on how to use dried out nail strips? Blow dryer didn’t work.

    • @stephanierenfro6929
      @stephanierenfro6929 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      From what I've seen on others channels if you don't immediately re seal them in the packaging with a lighter then they will dry out and can no longer work as intended, there air activated so once you open the package they start to dry. Hope this helps

    What do you do if you have wide nail beds and there aren’t enough wide strips for your nails?

    • @melissahaole8105
      @melissahaole8105  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Susan, our sets come with 8 strips per hand to size with so there are a lot of options. The largest size is perfect for my big toe. I have had a client that has wanted to use them as a pedicure and turned the strip lengthwise to get the width she need for her big toe, so depending on how wide your nail beds are if our strips don't have you covered going lengthwise with some of our glitters or solids could be a great option for you.

    • @susanfroman45
      @susanfroman45 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I know, I have used them before. The widest one does fit my thumb and my pinky is no problem but my three middle fingers are all wide so there aren’t enough wide strips for me. Maybe if my nails were shorter so I could use the wider strips on a couple of fingers it would work but I’d like a tutorial that demonstrates how to stretch them to fit better. I’m kind of klutzy so I’m not sure I would be able to do it anyway.

      @colleencorr-panek1064 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@susanfroman45 I have the same problem with my 3 middles too.... since its not the end of the world when they touch your skin since you can clean those up by perforating them, maybe they can make the strip a bit wider.....

      Hi Roxanne, when I first started using Color Street it would take me about 15 minutes for both hands and now I'm somewhere between 5 - 10 minutes. What's great is once you apply them you don't need to wait for them to dry to go about your day. You do need to keep them away from water or hand lotion for about 30 minutes after applying until they are fully cured to the nail. :)
