    Making bacon NEVER gets tired! 😃I managed to get a chunk of Mangalitsa pork belly a couple of weeks ago. I tried to make bacon from it but I didn't have a good enough smoker to really do it justice. It was still the best pork I'd ever eaten.

    I never tire of the bacon videos or any of your videos. Another good way to do bellies is as fresh side meat. My Mother, God rest her soul, preferred side meat to bacon.

    Mangalitsa fat is SO good for you! It has more Omega 3's than SALMON, and it packed full of vitamin D, and so much more! My favorite pigs to raise!

    I got to hand it to you Micah you're a very hard worker ! I like to see you smoke whole chickens sometime . How many pounds of meat do you think you can smoke in the new smokehouse ? I should have been out working in the garden today but I have been sicker than a dog today coming out at both ends lol . The boys brought it home from school .       The inside is 7‘ x 7‘ with one and a half feet of wood storage on each side so the pad is 10‘ x 7‘

    You always work it seams from the same spot washing salt off your cured meats. Don’t you worry about it the salt that is killing your trees

    I agree with many others I like your videos on making bacon but you said that’s the only use for belly muscles of the pig. Have you tried crispy pork? It’s the bomb!!

      I just threw it up, never made a drawing or sketch, never touched a pen and paper!😂😂😂
      But the inside dimensions are 7’x7’ with an 18” X 7’ firewood storage on both sides. Resulting in a 10’x7’ footprint.

    You're not on electric? How do you edit videos and charge cameras? I'd think you could rig a solar fridge and it would pay for itself in propane saved.

      @@McGieHomesteadAdventures I have a solar backup system and yeah the panels were the least expensive part. But I'll bet you could match your current capacity for less than it costs to run a propane fridge for three years.

    Americans love there bacon! Micah you should get some sheep in on ya farm! You cant beat a good lamb roast ir lamb shanks! Us Aussies love our Lamb. You can also use the wool to make your clothes with it ! I dont know why Americans dont like sheep as much as us! 🐑🐑🐑🐑😍Oh and i do love my bacon!

      I like it from just below freezing to around 40°
      But if it’s warmer like that, just get it smoked and put it in the freezer the three days of salt should keep it from spoiling.
