    I just bought a 2022 JL a few months ago and I'm very well pleased with my new jeep, just have to catch up on all the accessories. I got an Apex winch and an extreme terrain bumper, I hope to get it out in the mountains this fall and enjoy its capabilities. Thanks for all the information!

    Very nice build! Not wild about the white front bumper but it’s different and not terrible. Love the suspension lift kit! You should add the Rugged Ridge low profile version of their new snorkel, it would go well with the Street/Trail theme. Also maybe the Rhino Rack Backbone system & Pioneer Rack would be a nice black accent on top. Keep up the great work!

    Steel winch cables are dangerous, I have seen a steel cable fail and it cut the legs right off the man watching the recovery. Go synthetic, just as strong and they won't whip on you if they fail. I hope this saves a life. Otherwise a great example of a nice lift and mod for a mall crawler.

    I’m planning on color matching my bumper when my jeep comes in and i think i’m gonna go with this bumper, but is it just the video making the bumper look shiny? It looks to me as if it has the same gloss to it as the jeep. Looks nice. Or when you “powder coat” it does it have the same gritty matte look that it comes as?

  • @anthonycoffey816
    @anthonycoffey816 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Jeep claims the Rubicon JLU can accommodate 35's without lift, most people recommend 2" of lift anyway if you want 35's but my question is how would 35's fit & function with just a spacer/leveling kit? I'm saving for a JLU Rubicon but I dont really want to go hog wild in the aftermarket. It would be my daily that isn't going to be abused hard & constantly flexed out all the time. I'd rather just do the leveling kit than a whole lift kit for 35's 😊

    • @extremeterrain
      @extremeterrain  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You're absolutely right about 35" tires fitting without any issues on stock Rubicons! If you don't want to go all-out, a little leveling kit or 1" spacer kit is a great in-between option if you don't plan on wheeling often. That way you still have room for articulation and a more aggressive stance, but it won't hurt your wallet as much. 😁 -Zach

      @anthonycoffey816 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@extremeterrain thanks Zach! Just wanted to confirm, I dont know where these people get the $ to buy a new Rubi & immediately go out & throw 40" tires on them then smash the fenders in on the trails 🤣 I just want a Jeep that can go anywhere, anytime, and in style!

    • @derekpb6394

    • @henrycruz45cal
      @henrycruz45cal 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@anthonycoffey816 well, since this isnt a Rubicon you have about 10k of playing g money to do this stuff. But since it's not a Rubicon it just looks nice. At best you have limited slip.
      Do you want a jeep that looks like a big toy or one that can take you anywhere?
      Go Rubicon, throw 35s on it (to clear the diffs) and call it a day.

    I ordered a iPad dash kit for my 2012 wrangler. It didn’t fit my dash. I sent 4 emails to their customer service dept with not a single one being answered until after the return date expired. They refused to even give me a credit to use with them. I am now stuck with a part I can’t use. I wish I had of done my research on how shitty their customer service was prior to ordering. I will make damned sure as many people as possible know how I was treated. Off to TH-cam

    In this build is it necessary to regear? And is it necessary to buy a new tire mount for the extra 35 inch tire? Thanks

    • @extremeterrain
      @extremeterrain  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you have the funds available, investing in new gears wouldn't be a bad idea at all. You'll immediately notice a lot more low end torque, more pick-up from a stop, and more power while in 4WD off-road. That being said if you don't feel that it's needed right now, there definitely isn't a NEED to get it done right away. As for fitting the 35" spare, I would recommend getting a spare tire relocation bracket to get some extra room. -Zach

    Which tires & lift kit to select for Wrangler JL 2020? I'll be using the Jeep for Daily commute and twice a month for Off Road. Do yo help in installations?

    • @extremeterrain
      @extremeterrain  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You'll want to stick with an all-terrain tire in general if you're going to be driving mainly on-road. They will give you better handling on the road, better fuel economy since they're normally lighter than mud-terrain tires, and will wear better with proper rotation. Plus they won't be nearly as loud on the road as worn-in mud tires can be. Most people that use their Jeeps for a mix of trails and street usually stick with a 2" lift, and 33" or 35" tires. 33"s will give you better fuel economy, will be cheaper to purchase, and will handle better on the roads. 35" inch tires give you more ground clearance, generally look a little nicer on your Jeep, but will give you worse fuel economy and handle worse on the roads compared to 33" tires. As for your lift kit, it really comes down to budget and how much you want to spend. Since you'll be going off-road to some degree, I would highly recommend looking into a full suspension lift and stay away from spacer lift kits. I'll put two examples of solid lift kits below. If you have any other questions feel free to respond here, or give us a call or email! -Zach
