Those are great hood latches. I put them on my TJ to get rid of the hood flutter. Definitely a quality product!

That wheel and tire combo is absolutely killer dude. I got 17s on mine with 35x12.5s on a 2017 Sahara. But man, 22s with 37s got me wanting to upgrade. Nice mods all over.
35’s are ideal bro, especially right now with gas prices. 37’s wear on your axels, brakes, and suspension so much more. I just had to do it once tho 😂…nice work!

Probably the hottest Jeep in town Mr Hot Stuff…amazing…here couple of suggestions…you should consider replace those tails lights for LED ones Quadratec got some good options, second one…if you want to make your life easier replace those front panels for the best top sunrider believe me couple clicks & you’ll see open air in no time!!

35’s are great! I’ll probably do that with my next one. Ain’t nothing like 37’s but dang is it more expensive for the lift, wheels, and tires for em.
@@danrockwell1883 and you can't offroad safely with a Dana 30 (sports and saharas) with 37s without going 5miles an hour without the fear of snapping your axle......

I paid 16k for my 2002 TJ three years ago. I put 38k in parts into it and was all my own labor. It can add up quick.

Just a quick question just order my jeep 2023 willys and wanted to know how you get the fender and bumper to connect like that?
The JK does have welds on the tail gate. It is not on the hinges where you showed, it's on the interior side of the tail gate. It is very common to have thoes welds break and also crimp the tail gate with bigger tires.
So it’s on the back side? Under the plastic? Maybe, I didn’t check there but I did drive it with 35’s on 20’s for 3yrs and had 0 evidence of tailgate damage. That was kind of my point but good to know!
If you Google "welds on jk tailgate broke" you will see see where the problem spots are.
I watch your videos a lot but I have a question that you never really covered or maybe I missed it but I’m at the rough country site you recommended I have a 2021 Willy’s addition it has for the lifts under it rubicon dose it matter or can these lifts be universal ?
As long as it’s for a Jeep JL lift it should work fine for you. I know sport and Sahara use the same, 90% sure rubicon as well. Thanks for always watching the vids!

Well, I have stock tires now Goodyear Wrangler and I’m trying to give me a new set of feet. I’ve been looking on the market. What do you suggest I was going to get a half inch lift kit but I really didn’t wanna lift it. Keep his stock I got some estimates they say 33‘s will fit on the stock Without a list what do you think your first messages start off with some new feet? Just get the 33‘s then come back for a lift to .5 300 for the lift kit 1000 all together to install.

Hey Dan - been watching your videos for a while. Quick question- just got a new JEEP and plan on doing lots of mods to it. But what do folks usually do with the stock parts? (ie wheels, hood, bumper etc)? Toss them? Resell somehow? Any help would be apprecaited. thanks

I think most people resell them to hopefully mitigate the cost, but I could see some people saving the stock parts to put back on when they eventually sell the car.
Dan you mentioned in your previous video for the Black jeep that you decided to change the front grill but the jeep community gave you hell for it. For this new jeep did you decide to keep the regular Jeep Grill to keep it authentic?

What I see are those amazing Rubicons but for $100,000 if I had bought the $35,000 stock one and put $65,000 of my own money into it. It would probably be way better than a Rubicon.

Nice mall crawler! It looks good but I wouldn't off road it. Lot of us build our own rigs slowly over time.. I'm I right or wrong did you re-gear? I don't think you did. Because you didn't talk about it. Running 37's with out doing so will create a problems. I know you might think I don't like your rig but you did a excellent job on somethings. Your wheels isn't one of them and is why I called it a mall crawler they look good but don't off road them. And if you do look around for others that are running similar... you will not find many of them.

With the 37s have you done any regearing? If not do you plan to? Always heard 37s on stock gears would be very sluggish. I have 35s and want 37s
I didn’t yet but I honestly don’t mind how it rides now. I’m still trying to see how can do it for a good price
First, I bought some used 37 mud tires, and it was absolutely terrible. Made the Jeep shake terribly at 50mph+, braking at short notice was terrifying, and it felt like I was dragging a trailer. Didn’t keep them for even 2 weeks before getting 35 all terrains tires.
Then I went and got some Z36 power stop brake pads and rotors for under $100 off Amazon, and threw on some Falken Wildpeak 37s all-terrains just last weekend. The car drives better than it did with 35’s and stock brakes. Heavier 37s like the first MTs I had could absolutely use a regear, but you can throw the Falkens ATs on a completely stock JLU sport and be just fine.
@@AJweathersby what kind of tires were your first set of 37’s? I don’t experience any of that really but mine is more of an AT tire. Could explain the shaking.

2 questions would did you do with your stock Sahara bumper and if you still have it would you like to sell it. 2nd question is there much of a difference between the 3.5 and 4 in lift? Trying to justify the spending the price difference
I gave it away bro sorry and the 4 has 0 rub, smoother highway and general driving and it’s got more upgrade suspension parts to ensure nothing fails with 35+ tires and wheels

Does the lift kit void your warranty? In anticipation of buying my first Jeep, warranty issues are my biggest concern when it comes to modding
Probably, I didn’t have a warranty though. I normally buy vehicles over 3yrs old to avoid the big depreciation hit. Warranties aren’t worth it to me but peace of mind can definitely be a good thing!

What process did you use to paint the trim on the rear bumper? Online it's silver and black but yours is all black. If spray paint, do you know which brand/color?
