I used to think the most heartbreaking song about addiction was Concrete Blonde’s "Joey." Then a 13 year old Mexican girl came along and showed me how wrong I was. As a recovering alcoholic, Pau’s lyrics are soul searing. "I surrender in my defeat!"
This is about adiction, whether alcohol or drugs. She wrote this at the young age of 13. It is not personal to her, but she puts so much emotion into singing the song it can make you think that. One of the best songs and they have a ton of best songs in their catalogue. Great reaction.
Pau was 15 at this concert. Her voice has always tugged at our heartstrings. And she has only gotten better as she matured. There will be years of new songs from her in her future, which is bright. The whole band is just amazing.
Watch stuff from first two albums you will see all 3 playing piano live. You want powerful Pau vocals watch her cover of CREEP, just her, a piano and her phone.
Here's another performance at the Dakota with Pau out front on the keyboards. This entire performance is a fun watch too with a few mishaps along the way.....:) The Pepsi Center is an emotional version of it. No matter where or when they do Black Holes it always gets to you. Nice reaction..... th-cam.com/video/jUso74HYA6I/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Z2VCKEb3BaRimubp&t=1814

Total goosebumps with that line.

Pau wrote this song when she was just 13 years old. Not a personal experience. The song is essentially about addiction. Cheers!
A great version of this song it's a beauty.

Probably the best lyric that Paulina has written, in my opinion, especially because it is about a devastating and sensitive topic such as addictions.
💯💯💯
Thank you so much for all of your love and support brother 🙂🫂❤️
How does a 13 year old write this with so much emotion.
Her maturity level is 20 years older. All three of them actually.
You did show me the light where she was lead and gushed over Danny's awsome vocals

I think that Pau got a lot of her ideas from news stories when she was younger.
