    I have a 2004 Cadillac CTS V with a 2011 Squires Turbo System. Rare twin turbo system were mufflers are deleted and replaced by t3/t4 turbos. System installed at 83k miles. Car currently at 88k. Forgestar F4s 19x9 and 19x10 with Michelin Pilot Super Sport. Basically turbo system is 5k miles old and wheel and tires 3k miles old. Car, wheels and tires look brand new. Vehicles has sat inside garage of its entire life. I’ve done minor exterior enhancements that make it look like a more modern model while retaining its factory appearance. Caught in between getting it up to 1000hp or selling it. Check out (STS Twin Turbo Cadilllac CTS V lays down some rubber). Not my car but same turbo system mine has. Turbo diesel truck guys got nothing on the turbo whistle these cars make

    • @Gatorsrok
      @Gatorsrok 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not to buy a newer model year, get a 2011-2015, much cheaper to mod when you look at not having to work around that damn direct injection and more complications vs the V2. You can find a very nice V2 for around 37k with low miles and if you spend the extra on mods to the price of what you would pay for the V3 stock, you'd be in a much better boat.Plus youd be able to get a coupe and not the ugly 4 door. I found one myself 2011 black Coupe w/recaros, $36k, 30k miles, looks brand new, spent about ~$2500 so far (Expansion tank, 4.5 fasterproms cold air, 2.55 pulley, Might Mouse Catch Can, Ported throttle body, plugs, thermostat etc) and pushing ~640 to the crank, 557 wheel so in all for $38k im at the power level of the new V3 and have so far yet to go.... Car is a monster....

    Any good junkyard will have a Lincoln MRK VII which is a Ford 8.8 rear which will work instead of 5k from G-Force for the first Gens! 6 bolt is Trailblazer SS wheels. Multiple companys have heat exchangers for Gen II's, no need to go EMP pump unless your upgrading lines and a trunk tank. More shops in the V world than just ProSpeed...

    Question. I recently cammed my v2 sedan. My baseline was 472. After the tx speed stage two cam, corsa sport exhaust, and circle d converter, I only went up to 487. The tuner said I dropped from 9 psi to 4ish after the cam... which I partially expected...but was still hoping 550-575 for the 6 grand I spent... I plan on pullys, e85, heat exchanger, injectors, and headers and d pipe... could the tune be the issue? I sputter occasionally if I don’t warm up and I’m disappointed in the outcome of only 14hp from the cam... does that sound right ThT? I’m afraid to put another 6k and not get past 600hp... any suggestions?

    • @TheTuningSchool
      @TheTuningSchool  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The important thing to keep in mind is that dyno numbers can be arbitrary. We are also unable to speak directly to the specific power output of this setup because we have not dealt with this exact setup. I would suggest speaking with the folks at Texas Speed to see what they think about your power gains.

    • @Mr1T2X1
      @Mr1T2X1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What are the cam specs? appears there might be too much overlap which has reduced your boost pressure (and HP)

    • @JuanHernandez-im7jw
      @JuanHernandez-im7jw 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      could’ve done a lower pulley while you were there camming it. could’ve also been heat soaked. i would do pulleys and e85 and i bet you’ll see major gains. should’ve started with the bolt ons first before jumping into a cam.

    Im not going to spend time to watch this whole video because im about to board a plane to San Francisco...I have 2 2015 CTS-Vs One is a Coupe and the other is my favorite which is my wagon and both are manuals.The rear ends are made of glass and need a nicely built diff...I went with a Lingenfelter build who has upgraded my cooling systems,intercooler and suspension..along with a cam and heads.. DONT FORGET A NICE CARBON KEVLAR CLUTCH!!! Im running a Cat free exhaust through Series 10 Single chamber Flowmasters.I have a 95 Lingenfelter ZR1 which they have not only rebuilt at 40,000 miles into a monster but also went above and WAYYYY beyond being I have 3 vehicles built by them.My manual 2015 Coupe has only had a rear end installed along with mainly bolt ons but my wagon is putting down close to 840wheel hp and 900+ lbs trq.. Have a rear end built,uprade the cooling system,intercooler,throttle body,have the S/C ported & polished along with some long tubes and cat delete..or even get a high flow setup but either way..Make it more robust in its weaker areas and let it breath...Youll be very happily rewarded !!!
