Wow, you not only go out of your way to reply to so many comment, but you're willing to spend your own time and money in order to help people. You deserve SO many more views than you get, keep up the awesome work Brian, we love you.
Thanks Dave, wish I was able to get a bit closer to iPad, maybe next time I set it up better so people can see more of what I doing. Have a great weekend.
Thank you so much. I just replace my wife ipad 4. My kids decided it was a drum to hit on. This is the second one I had to replace the screen. Had a ipad 2. That one took trial and error. Eventually my son took it in the bath with him to plsy with. So that's gone. And I bought a new one for her. Not even a month my youngest son that was 8 months decided to bang on it. Thanka for your video. You were precise and informational and I was with u the whole entire process. It looks brand new.
The home button was squint... and that's literally the only thing I could see wrong with this repair job. Fantastic work. Some hard work and a bit of patience can save you a lot of money!
100% Great video Brian! I repair all iphones. I needed to see how easy ipad 4 glass repair was and you made it look easy... Im ready for ipad repair. Thank you.
yeah I fired it up before I glued it all down, Thanks for the support and Britec TV what a good idea, I wonder if one of the big TV networks would hire me.....NOT lol
I agree Hayden, there is some good hairdryers that have good heat, but like you said need to hold it on glass longer, my friend used hairdryer and ended up not heating glue up long enough and broke the wireless, volume and home button assembly's. So that's why I did not recommend it.
Awesome. Great tutorial...I actually swapped my shattered screen for a little over $10.00 bucks. I used a hair drier instead of a heat gun. It worked perfectly...Thanks Britec09
Awesome - looks like the key is patience and heat. Thank you for this video it's a good break from the other great vids that you make. I will stick to working on laptops.
Hi Brian, excellent video and don't worry about the length ;-) You had all of the details there needed and no more. I would even have a go at one of these repairs myself having watched the process; while very fiddly it's doable with care it would seem.
Yeah most show with glass unbroken, this is a lot easier to do, once there broken, it makes the job that little bit harder. Home button assembly replacement was a nightmare.
Great Video! The extra commentary was great and I learned a new thing about laying down adhesive. Usually I apply it to the screen first, not the frame. You got skills my friend ;-) Thanks for increasing my iPad DIY knowledge ;-) lol
Not bad. I'd have to buy the soldering station (or at least the heat gun). It definitely would be a benefit to consumers who need these replaced. Have you tried this on the iPhone? I wonder if the technique as you demonstrated is the same just on a smaller scale?
I'm not trying to be a know it all, but I have fixed a few iPads using a hairdryer and it does the job, It takes a little more time though :) Hope this helps.
The screen is £22 that's all you really need if you have rework or heat gun, so you have to workout what you think is a fair price. I think £120 is fair because apple do not replace screens, I have seen people do it cheaper, but you got to ask the question....is there much profit in it for the work you have to do? Also iPad could have dent on side or WiFi, Volume, Home Button etc etc damage which will have to be replaced.
Its definitely a challenge but once the digitizer is off, game is half won. I really recommend loctite glue to coat the tape, big game changer in my experience.
well you could get away without using super glue, its only a very very small amount, not sure the sticky tap is up to all that mate tbh, I wanted to make sure i had a strong bond, did not want glass to be proud, which I have seen in other videos.
i only have a normal heat gun, how hot should the heat be please? slightly hotter than a hair dryer? and will the internals melt if i have the heat on for to long? many thanks! :)
hello, my name is James, I live in Brazil, and wanted to take a doubt with you, the touch screen of the ipad 3 the ipad Serves 4? Here in Brazil I am not finding to buy a touch screen of 4 Thank you and Congratulations for Videos, are great.
Hi I tried to assemble the screen in the frame but always one edge pops out the frame, I ordered a new plastic bezel as this got dammaged in the process, can you give a tip how to fit it best, so that screen completly is put down in the frame? much appreciated
Hello. I don't have a heat gun, so can I use a hairdryer? Also, my screen was much more shattered than yours, and I never repaired an iPad before, just my iPhone 4.. Do you think I'll have too much trouble?
if you have not done this type of work before, I would leave it to someone who has, because it could all go badly wrong and end up costing you even more money to fix.
Can u post a video for a samsung galaxy 2. My wife phone of course and yes it was one of my kids. They are so destructive. Even broke my laptop screen which is very easy to replace.
HI! nice job well done Brian, was it your first time repairing the glass screen or did you do smartphones as well. there's a site on youtube called LE55ON hes from the UK as well he uses a skinny scotch tape double sided i think its cheaper for you then using the original i Pad tape have a look on LE55ON and see what you think? Thanks.
Hi i live in Ireland (irrelavant information) and i was goin to get my screen fixed at a local electronic store (iPad 4) and if i get my screen replaced will i lose all my storage/memory saved ? Because i heard of a case when a guy got his replaced he lost all his saved data such as photos, apps, music etc ? Will this happen or is there a chance or is it highly unlikely ? Feedback would be appreciated Oh and For people who will say just backup all your stuff on iCloud thats not really possible on 0.50 upload to save around 15GB
lookfromwhen ok thanks for replying good to know i found a new guy whos really good at this and trustworthy so nothing to worry about but appreciate the reply

The home button was squint... and that's literally the only thing I could see wrong with this repair job. Fantastic work. Some hard work and a bit of patience can save you a lot of money!
Thanks Mitch, glad you liked the video, I try and keep the videos varied that way no one gets bored with them.
100% Great video Brian! I repair all iphones. I needed to see how easy ipad 4 glass repair was and you made it look easy... Im ready for ipad repair. Thank you.

Hi Simon, there not that bad, as long as you take you time and everything should be fine, I suppose the more you do the easier it will get.
I agree Hayden, there is some good hairdryers that have good heat, but like you said need to hold it on glass longer, my friend used hairdryer and ended up not heating glue up long enough and broke the wireless, volume and home button assembly's. So that's why I did not recommend it.
Cheers Robbie glad you found the video informative.
Yeah it all works great, I did test the iPad before sealing the glass, I edited it out by mistake.
Thanks, my brothers boy is 10 and he dropped it, so I had to try and fix it for him...turned out OK in the end.
Awesome. Great tutorial...I actually swapped my shattered screen for a little over $10.00 bucks. I used a hair drier instead of a heat gun. It worked perfectly...Thanks Britec09
I'm so glad you said hair dryer. I feel safe to use it now
Awesome - looks like the key is patience and heat. Thank you for this video it's a good break from the other great vids that you make. I will stick to working on laptops.
I really enjoyed the detail and descriptions!! Thank you -a real treat to watch, full of info and excellent narrative!
Got to make sure its clear from glass and use 3m glue strips, I also like to use a tiny bit of glue gel to bond it.
Hi ray you should be OK, just take it nice and steady, if you feel your having to put force on to remove glue, then your need more heat.
My screen already came with the adhesive on it which made it a lot easier. Thanks again.
Thanks Andrei, your right about the patience.
Hi Brian, excellent video and don't worry about the length ;-)
You had all of the details there needed and no more. I would even have a go at one of these repairs myself having watched the process; while very fiddly it's doable with care it would seem.
I just got my iPad 4 and I am totally blown away. My MacBook pro is sitting in the corner and I haven not missed a beat ;)
Your welcome, glad the video helped you out.
Your welcome mate, glad you liked the video.
Handled well, the digitizer can be a pain to extract, once the glass shatters.
Great videos
What a great job fixing that Brian. You must have patience to do stuff like that which I'll never have.
Brilliant vid and commentary. Spot on,videos like these encourage DIY as everything is being explained thoroughly. Keep it up
try 75 to 80 Celsius, just keep touch glass to make sure its not getting to hot.
Good for you, take your time and I am sure your be OK.
I do just about anything to do with IT and Repairs and thanks for the offer :)
Nice Job, Made a fiddly job look easy. Great job Bri.
Thanks John I will check it out.
You really deserve some cash! Great work as usual Brian!
Yeah I straighten that up, for some reason the new button spins a little, its a small issue, not a problem for my brothers boy.
Great step by step instruction Brian.
Yeah most show with glass unbroken, this is a lot easier to do, once there broken, it makes the job that little bit harder. Home button assembly replacement was a nightmare.
You can use a hair dryer on high setting, but I am not sure it will get hot enough.
Are them replacement screens available? I will check.
Awesome best video tutorial on subject so far
glad the video helped you out.
Great Video! The extra commentary was great and I learned a new thing about laying down adhesive. Usually I apply it to the screen first, not the frame. You got skills my friend ;-) Thanks for increasing my iPad DIY knowledge ;-) lol
good work! love the glue idea. I have been doing these for a while now and have had some adhesion issues once in a while. Ill try your method!
Just take your time Fred, your be fine.
Thanks so much, followed this video to the tee with a very smashed ipad and a screen kit I bought for $25 off Ebay. Good as new!
I will try and get a broken one on Ebay and make a repair video.
Not bad. I'd have to buy the soldering station (or at least the heat gun). It definitely would be a benefit to consumers who need these replaced. Have you tried this on the iPhone? I wonder if the technique as you demonstrated is the same just on a smaller scale?
you can use it but leave it heating for a while
Another great video Brian - Thanks.
I'm not trying to be a know it all, but I have fixed a few iPads using a hairdryer and it does the job, It takes a little more time though :) Hope this helps.
And yet another excellent video by Brian. Hope this never happens to me Thanks
Cheers Kevin.

Got iPod Touch 4th Gen Screen Repair coming soon.
Really useful video - thank you for posting it.
Its definitely a challenge but once the digitizer is off, game is half won. I really recommend loctite glue to coat the tape, big game changer in my experience.
Cheers Ray.
If i was to use the super glue gel as well as the adhesive strips would i still be able to replace the screen if it broke again.
thank you a lot Brian..you are amazing!
Done a video on iPod touch
You didn't fire it up!! lol, I know it works, you're the best!! Great vid! This is my evening tele when I get the chance to catch up. :) lol
Good job Brian
yeah i sorted the button, it was not straight.
well you could get away without using super glue, its only a very very small amount, not sure the sticky tap is up to all that mate tbh, I wanted to make sure i had a strong bond, did not want glass to be proud, which I have seen in other videos.

Your need some sort of heat, like a hair dryer to heat the glue up.
Hi I tried to assemble the screen in the frame but always one edge pops out the frame, I ordered a new plastic bezel as this got dammaged in the process, can you give a tip how to fit it best, so that screen completly is put down in the frame? much appreciated
Your welcome potatocats, I try and keep my youtube members happy with fresh content.
about £20 you can use iPad 3 replacement screen for iPad 4 if its cheaper.
Hello. I don't have a heat gun, so can I use a hairdryer? Also, my screen was much more shattered than yours, and I never repaired an iPad before, just my iPhone 4.. Do you think I'll have too much trouble?
Windows 8 Bootable Recovery DVD?
Yes the iPad 3 will fit iPad 4
Yeah was a bit, but it worked out OK
no windows 8 bootable installation DVD but you can do both britec that would be super
Brian what was the cost (labor included) to replace this glass as compared to buying a new unit?
I will see what I can do.
if you have not done this type of work before, I would leave it to someone who has, because it could all go badly wrong and end up costing you even more money to fix.
It was a bit off in video, but since corrected it.
I see if I can get my hands on a galaxy 2
Your welcome.
Yeah sorted that
It has been released and that iPad was a iPad 4.
There is some cheap repairs about if you don't want to tackle this yourself.
Yeah just use very small amounts of gel glue
Can u post a video for a samsung galaxy 2. My wife phone of course and yes it was one of my kids. They are so destructive. Even broke my laptop screen which is very easy to replace.
Is there a link to the stuff needed

hi there. replacing a screen should not lose any data and if it did thats because the person doing it wiped your ipad .
lookfromwhen ok thanks for replying good to know i found a new guy whos really good at this and trustworthy so nothing to worry about but appreciate the reply
Hello we're did you buy your double tap mate
