He's going to knock it out as fast as you can while sipping on a brewski lov this ish and thanks I needed to do this myself and your video saved me money
Dude, You posted the video of the rear brake replacement video on r/is300 once and instantly subbed because it was detailed and thorough. My 01 is my daily. It needs a ton of work, so your videos are amazingly helpful!
I’m missing in cylinder 5/6 going to change valve cover gasket and spark plugs if that fix it awesome if not I will be doing coils/plug wires. Awesome video!
Great job. I got one of these cars for 19 3/4 years and never did any of that. Your channel is inspiring me now that its my secondary car. I liked, commented and subscribed.
When you pull out the old plugs with the plug wells filled with oil and gunk Where do you think all the gunk goes? Straight down in the cylinder scratching cylinder walls Fouling plugs and o2 sensor...not good at all!
Subscribed and thanks for the great videos. Will you ever be doing the diff fluid? I'm new to repairing cars and would love to see where you place the jack stands for optimal safety, as going under my IS300 is scary to say the least. Anyway, thanks again for the great instructional vids!
Thanks For watching and Subscribing, i have a couple is300 videos where I'm working on the suspension,, maybe 3... you should be able to see where i have the stands, I might drain and fill the fluids one day, but more than likely i'll end up replacing the rear diff for a LSD unit, and the transmission will get swapped with a cd009 infinity 6 speed. Here is the is300 playlist link. Oh, and if you hit me on instagram you can Direct Message me any tech support you need, i can send pictures and diagrams. thanks again. th-cam.com/play/PLBkNUwyx9olH_xpFoinZlENc2GERGlMQK.html
Wait...how come you bought a car with a quarter million miles on it? Also, why did you switch to the gray colored ratchet, did the Milwaukee start getting too heavy?
It was 800 dollars. The grey one is a 1/4 inch and not as powerful and I'm just used to working with both, it cuts down on switching sockets, the Milwaukee a 3/8, and is twice as powerful as the grey Matco one. Its head is twice as big so its down fall is getting into tight spots.
So the spark plug tubes are only filled up with oil like that due to the valve cover (rocker cover) gasket? There's no spark plug tube seals or anything like other cars have?
Aw man even though you didnt go into detail like the indian guys video, great video too speedcar i believe, your shit i understood and got mine done. And you cracked me up like freal. Keep up the good simple vibes Donnie thumbs up!!
them valve covers are looking pretty ugly id have the painted a nice red but nevertheless great video and to speedkar and his video showing used underwear thats very nasty and unprofessional.
Didn’t realize how many vacuum hoses are lurking under the 2Jz intake! Great video.
Guy doesn't use torque wrench most people :"oh my God it's not spec". Me: "Thays ny kinda guy"
Best comment of the month😁
Sorry for the bad Grammer, I didn't even realize. Great video keep them coming 👍

Love the clutch dumps on the 3/8 Milwaukee 😂
All day
Great vid. This will be me in a few days 😢
Did replacing the valves cover gaskets also fix all that oil that was pooled in the spark plug well?
Yes
We have the same leaky deal. Did that valve gasket fix your leak issue?
Yes, no more burnt oil smell.
When you pull out the old plugs with the plug wells filled with oil and gunk
Where do you think all the gunk goes? Straight down in the cylinder scratching cylinder walls
Fouling plugs and o2 sensor...not good at all!
Oh no. Lol.
You should make a TH-cam video.

6:50 lol it's the "Vape Nation" song
Not really sure where I got the music from, but sounds like I need to use it more.
Bro I have everything loose but they put so much gasket sealer around the throttle body /air intake gasket I can’t even get it to move
Did you use gasket sealer on the corners? I yes, what kind?
How long did it take u to do all that?
Its hard to say because I have to use a camera at the same time. I could knock this out in an hour or two probably.

Great video
How much did this cost you? And what brand of gaskets did you buy?
Where did you get that intake tube? I can't seem to find one like that with a vacuum hose attachment
I got it online 15 years ago!
@@Donnythelatemodeltech link? Hahaha jk. I sucked it up and spent 150 on a OEM one
Was there any difference after tou swapped the spark plugs?
Not really
One question , did the valve cover gasket u ordered fit kinda big ?
No
Is the FelPro valve cover gasket good as OEM?
I used a lot of felpro gaskets, and really don’t have anything bad to say..
Am I the only one having trouble getting those 2bottom bolts on the driver side of the engine
I can’t get my gasket to stay on!
