1JZ non-VVTI Valve Cover Gasket Replacement DIY

  • Quick video of replacing the valve cover gasket on the 1JZ non-VVTI. There's not much to go in depth here as it's just like any other engine. The only thing I've notice a lot of write-ups do is skip the cam cover/half moons in the back of the block which this video will quickly cover.
    Now would be a good time to replace your spark plugs if you have not. The general consensus for JZs are NGK BKR7E
    There's a high chance your spark plug connectors will fall apart on you if they've never been replaced. Heat and age causes the plastic to deteriorate. New connectors can be found on amazon: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01....

    I was so scared of removing these covers, because on my previous 7mgte, I did this and it kept flooding the damn motor with oil, but now you make it look so easy
