I'm not Italian, but aren't there at least few pasta dishes that are made with different method? I mean something like Spaghetti all' Assassina, the spicy one pot/pan dish?
@@jarivuorinen3878 Well, I said that all kind of pasta that require the boiling metod should be cooked in a large pot, pasta needs his space in that case. When we come to pasta dishes, well, at that point the modality can change, exactly as in the Assassina, where it is a sort of one pan dish, where you actually cook pasta in the souce. In this particular dish you want the pasta to be crispy, so you cook it like that
@@deviantmoore9744 You don't care*, others seem to find in my comment a confirmation. Save your "we don't care" and hate for other really useless comments
Oh, wow. Spaghetti is definitely one of those dishes people should KNOW how to make, so I'm glad that you have given it a shot. If you are a meat eater something you can do in addition to these instructions is to cook some ground beef or sausage (seasoned to your liking) while your water is boiling. Once your meat is cooked, you add your sauce to it, and it's ready for your cooked noodles.
@@Ifyskitchen People are free to rinse or not rinse. FYI pasta is coated with artificial preservatives, not a bad idea to get as much of that off as possible. You could do the same with noodles as well.
I am well aware that the "experts" say that you shouldn't rinse your spaghetti or any other type of pasta because it helps the sauce to stick to the noodles. Personally, I don't care if the sauce sticks to the noodles because it's all going to go in my mouth at the same time anyway and it'll get plenty mixed up when I chew it. I'd much rather get rid of as much starch as possible because I'd much rather let it go down the drain than to consume it. Pasta is already unhealthy enough, so it's one easy way to cut down on the amount of carbs that you ingest!
I've never made spaghetti alone before and my mom has a bad migraine so she can't show me the process. This was so easy to digest (pun not intended) and now I don't need any help. You're a life saver. AND THANK YOU FOR NOT BREAKING IT THAT ALWAYS BOTHERED ME

Ppl really rinse dry pasta? 😕 smh as soon as i moved into my own place at 18 i went straight to my grams house with a pen and pad and asked her to teach me her recipes!!! My hubby is amazed i cook like a southern granny i say hey i learn from 1 ❤
Yes I use to rinse pasta but after cooking not the dry uncooked one you will regret it cuz they might be sticky .... Another thing I don't usely preheat the water before putting pasta in I just put them in pot of water and heat for 20 minutes or until tender i don't know it's good idea but work great for me so delicious
Ideal time for boiling spaghetti is 20 minutes (if you put it in when the water is boiling). Learnt that from Chef Gordon Ramsey and it has made cooking spag easier. You don’t have to keep going back and forth from the pot to check the texture.
Didn't know about the rinsing but was looking for a way to do things already substituting ground beef with 2 burger patties(ran out of buns) and gonna have to substitute regular salt with seasoned salt I'll edit with the results(got a feeling the seasoned salt is gonna make it taste weird)
My mom uses butter so it doesn't stick it's more efficient and soft and makes home sauce using fresh tomatoes and any of your favorite spices add water or milk it's absolutely divine trust me
Ah! So all of my fellow Nigerians here saying there's no other way of making spaghetti, you dunno jellof spaghetti?!! In fact, na wetin I dey chop now sef.
