    Well the dt03 is not made for bashing ! But I like how it took that jump under power ! I think it would run on off road track ok for a beginner . Or at your local track for sum good old fun with your friends. Nice video! Also glad you are well !

      Yerhh I agree it is a great starter RC. Even eith the plastic dogbones and standard diff I think it would perform well even without such a high Kv motor in it. Thanks for tuning in Mitch. And cheers for the well wishes.

    Mine took 3s 4000kv for a while with the 19t pinion, well until the motor overheated from the gearing. Now 2s 5000KV going strong

    • @FullOnRC
      @FullOnRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have thought about giving the 5000kv a try, but 4000kv seems plenty.

    Another good video from Paul keep up the good work. You must spend all your free time building tamiya kits for the next video?

    wonderful race do you think this chassis and spur gear and gears will support 2s brushless (28 or 29 mph) for a long time? thanks for sharing

    • @FullOnRC
      @FullOnRC  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think so yes. The gears are pretty substantial.

    Looks great Paul! Just built my own Racing Fighter this week, still running stock parts - my first Tamiya! It's good to see how it can run with more power and driven hard, plus it seems more sturdy than I was expecting from looking at mine.
    Probably going to keep mine standard for now and just enjoy some more casual driving, since I've got a 1/10 4wd truggy for being a hooligan. However a motor upgrade could be good some day, what pinion are you running in their with that motor? the standard 17T?

    • @FullOnRC
      @FullOnRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it is the standard 17tooth. Performs well. The Long wb makes it really stable under acceleration and the tyres although ribbed performed better than I expected. Thank for tuning in James. What truggy do you have my friend?

      @@FullOnRC Thanks for the response Paul, that gives me a mental benchmark of where I could go. ie a lower KV motor and the 19T. Likely to grab a 19T for the stock motor just for a bit more top end for the meantime.
      As for the Truggy, I've got a Maverick Quantum XT Flux 80A. Bit of an animal for my first RC car since being a kid. This DT03 is much more usable without a wide open space!

      @@jayfarthing nice hear good things about Mavericks. Are you in the UK. Did you get it from Modelsport. I know what you mean about space I used to run the bigger 6s cars before I returned to Tamiya. No regrets. The big 6s rcs although fun it's a proper mission getting out with them. And these small tamiya are a fraction of the price and just as much fun.

      @@FullOnRC Yep, down near Bristol. Ordered from Modelsport, have racked up a chunk of cash with them over the past month! No regrets, I'm hooked on a new expensive hobby!

    Looks fast I wouldn’t of kept driving it over them large rocks think it lacks ground clearance for off road and damaging it though! Great work
