I’d like to see a comparison, I like the hardbody, and I think this would make a killer scale tow rig with a flatbed, but I also really like my high trail! Hopefully he’ll do a comparison video talking about what he likes and dislikes about each compared to the others! This thing does look pretty awesome if I didn’t already have my high trail
@@taylorhall9219Personally I feel that’s an apples/oranges comparison. Two totally different classes of crawler. The Traxxas will easily out perform the RC4WD, but the Trail Finder is something that must be experienced first hand to be appreciated. The all metal construction gives it a really satisfying solid and more realistic feel. The scale details will make you want to forgive it for its scale performance, so you’ll be quickly surprised by how well it does perform. And then of course the sky is the limit for upgrades.
Just so you know I am not a Traxxas hater. Yes they have done some pretty questionable things recently, but I just like the more realism of the trail finder.
What a beautiful completely scale looking rig I know one thing comes out and somebody always wants another but I tell you what if they come out with us 78 or 79 F-150 I'm jumping😂 great video man
I will say this you get a lot more for the money than any of their other kits, only $50 more than the Marlin which by the way is why I' m getting one because my Marlin needs a big brother!
Sometime can you do a side by side of the 4 k10 series pickups? Traxxas, the proline/axial, and the other axial they just released, and this one? I have the traxxas k10, but have looked base camp k10! Interested to see size comparison between the 4 “rtr” k10s available, and your thoughts on them all together! Love your videos!
Don't get me wrong it looks fantastic, I have a set of those ralley wheels, would really like if replacement trim rings were available..........but really I'd put that body on any other platform. I understand this is about scale more than anything else. But it could perform a little bit better. The motor, servo, and esc don't really have much for my slightly more extreme driving style.
It's a scale trail truck meant to be driven like a scale trail truck, anyone with a high trail with giant monster tires can barrel over anything, properly broken in leaf suspension setup correctly is so much more satisfying than just monster trucking over stuff but thats what I prefer
It LOOKS amazing. The suspension is just WAY too stiff, though... I also don't love how lifted it is. It looks like there are blocks under the leaf springs. I would be taking those out if I could to lower it back down to a more "stock" ride height. Besides that, though. It is absolutely beautiful. I LOVE the blue and all the chrome details, too.
looks good but you need to fix that suspension. Take out the internal springs in the shocks and remove one of the leaf spring to help it articulate. The running video makes the suspension look stiff as a board.
You can remove the inner springs inside the scale shocks as well as the small helper leaf, Rc4wd also sells a soft leaf kit as well that helps a lot. Honestly the leafs will break in over time, or you can take some of the tension out by flattening the stock ones. These are scale trial trucks not barrel over anything High Trail monster trucks Honestly but you can get a leaf truck to perform
@@jaycevessier7554 well he hasn't touched the leafs, he also probably has the factory springs installed as well in the shocks. Same as a 1:1 leaf chevy truck isn't going to flex like a coil over suspension rock crawler that's all I'm saying bud
@rcdriver definetly some increase in performance and maybe some touches to the hardbody to further increase realistic looks. That would be awesome!!! But no bigger tires for me. They are already huge as they are.
@@rcdriveryes, or more scale suspension setup. It looks it's sitting on stills as it rides now, classic RC4WD. I'd like to see this RTR pop with a decent leaf spring setup that can still articulate like a BRX01/2 on leafs 🤤🙌🏻
I feel you, man! I feel you! Especially this year is full of tough decisions. So many cool RCs in 2023. First Losi tries to burn a hole in my pockets several times, then comes Traxxas with that awesome Raptor Slash LWB, and now this. That's too much for me to handle.😅
So the front cab is totally different on the window area. I looked on their website and it looked the same to me. Is the dash still messed up where it used to leave a gap away from the window?.
Oh, yes, I'm sure you did. I don't doubt that., I just didn't catch it. I was focusing on how the truck was handling. Watching the video., It kind of looks like a high trail Clone😅
Why is it that rc4wd always gets the body wrong? Well not always, but on the chevy truck and the 2nd gen toyotas there are major issues. The chevys have a horrible transition from the hood to the A-pillar, and the whole front clip is tilted forward. On the 2nd gen toyotas the A-pillar is just horrible and don't get me started on the front fenders. Why?!?! So disappointing!
As a Chevy Truck dealer who loves blue regular cabs and RC my wildest dreams just came true! ❤❤❤
I'm not a dealer, but a Chevy truck lover myself. 👊
Man that suspension is STIFF in the trail clip
That’s what she says 😂, them leafs kills the trail experience
It might as well just be rigid mounted axles.
@@shanebatten6473 🤣🤣🤣🤣😂 true
As a total life long gm loyalist, I absolutely love this. I may even order one just because.
I'd take this over a high trail.
Yup, me too!

Body's killer, but suspension is way to stiff for me personaly

Looks so good like almost unbelievably good lol. Your videos always knock it out of the park Greg
Thank you! I put a lot of time in on these for all my RC friends! 😀
C'MON RC4WD. WE NEED AN 80'S BODY AND GRILL K10
Fell in love with the TF2 all over again!
This will look great next to my high tail. And my Blazer. And Bronco. And....
😄😀

Very realistic looking truck. The body looks perfect and so does the suspension and tires. 👍👍
After all these years they still haven't lightened up the springs on the tf2? That thing is as stiff as a board. No real truck is that stiff.
A real truck has more 1:1 weight so it’s not so stiff
And it's on lwb. Very nicely done. Much nicer then the rest
I will say this you get a lot more for the money than any of their other kits, only $50 more than the Marlin which by the way is why I' m getting one because my Marlin needs a big brother!
Solid review as always Greg. The truck does look really good.

Great review!! been waiting on this body for a while now, well done RC4WD. It has great proportions. Greg is the body available separately?
For a RTR this looks pretty impressive. Like it a lot!
It’s nicely done. I was impressed with the build quality

Now if Rc4wd would make a ford body , I’d be all over that!
Just wish it came in black, hoping that’s a option come release time
Wow they killed this !! 👍 also real glad they didn’t use the tf3 for this
man it looks sooo good ! this would be my first scale Rc ! it needs hex extenders IMHO, which should i take ?
Nice looking truck to bad they didn’t finish the look with the rally wheel center caps.
Great new addition!❤🔥
Very nice chevy. In a later video show how to tweak the leaf spring. Thank you.
They're gonna sell so many of these. 👏
Yup, I’m sure it’ll do well.

I love this! I am new to the hobby. It will be fun to put together on a noob level.
Great looking truck , rc4wd would do amazing job if they came out with a 88-98 Chevy Silverado
Pretty nice but those leafs do make it a little stiff for the frame chatter.🏎️💨🏁👍
Yup, it’s understandable in a way.
So how much softer can you make the leafs? Because I really want this truck but that suspension is not moving at all
You can remove the inner springs inside the scale shocks as well as the small helper leaf, Rc4wd also sells a soft leaf kit as well that helps a lot. Lovely looking truck😊😊 Pete
Looks like the 76 in my driveway. I need this lol
Ouuu that bed is deep just how I love It
I wish more rc truck beds were this deep
Do the leaf spring mod and see if it improves? Just a thought.
Stunning looking truck and filmed in a superb location nice one dude, gotta say it wish traxxas could learn how to do clear windows ha ha
Some off road bumpers, Would be nice,
Yes, you did say that.👍 Nice truck,🛻
Where’s the scale chevy center caps on the rally wheels??
Definetly a follow-up, Greg! Please!

I would definitely sell my trx4 blazer for this
Looks amazing but the springs look WAY too stiff for crawling out of the box
He said you can remove a leaf to reduce the stiffness.
It’s beautiful and love the color. But the wheels and tires are not scale . Need some 1.55 wheels on it back then no one drove with 1.9 wheels
I would love to have a Metal body parts, maybe stamped aluminum... would be a killer!
Getting them Snowrunner vibes.
that leaf spring looks a little hard.
I just ordered the Baja Rey 2.0 and then I see this lol!! My poor wallet cant handle much more!! Great review as always!
So many cool goodies. It’s tough!

Maybe a driver figure behind the, Steering wheel,,
Amazing looking rig the quality looks outstanding...needs suspension work as it's stiffer then a bus

Maybe a size comparison., Compare this RC 4x4 drive truck to the traxxas high trail.👍 Great RC channel.,,,
Show me how to make the suspension awesome
RC review said he took out a leave. That softened it up I believe he,said😮
Yes, I said the same thing in this video.

About time for a classic american truck body. Wheres the ford f250
Would you recommend this truck for somebody that is new to the hobby of crawling?
Great location
It’s my favorite spot for scale trail fun. 😀
Awesome!!
Nice video 👍📹📹📹
I’ll stick my high trail. It looks nice but the Chrome accessories are too large and the quality of RC4WD still doesn’t compare
I was really hoping for some flex lol
😮 but hard to get a driver inside😢😢
Got to be something wrong with it. The suspension don’t flex at all?
could you do the crossrc emox?
Can i mount to the high trail?
Nice trail truck but no FLEX.
The hand of God 😂
Are these trucks Lipo Ready?
Is there a way to adjust ride height or suspension stiffness?
Yes, Scale Builders Guild has a great video that details freeing up the suspension on a TF2.
you would think they would update the radio some by now, they are terrible. an servo is crap. its a looker for sure
Big miss on the bumpers, too bad they didn’t get those from the right year to match the body.
Giant mirrors!!! 😅
Is the body metal or plastic
How much pkz
Hello,i like video😍😍
Softer suspension too stiff,, Better shocks👍,,,
It’s not the shocks, the leaf springs are the biggest culprit for the stiff suspension.
That chassis is crap compared to the trx4 high trail. But that body is way better then traxxas lexan garbage
Great looking truck but man that thing is stiff.
doors do not open, strange for a scale truck
