You probably dont care but does any of you know a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I somehow forgot the login password. I would love any tricks you can offer me!
@@NatesFilmTutorials Great video, btw. I was getting tired of "borrowing" lights from work, so I wanted something small for the home studio. These seem perfect. I ended up getting the two light kit and picked up the Neewer ring light to use as my key.
I've got four of these lights. A couple of the 580s, a 660, and I recently got the 960 (which uses a vmount battery instead of the sony batteries). They're awesome.
Nice lighting! I just ordered 2 of the 480 RGBs. Very small workspace, just going to use for a vlogging setup. I even ordered the kit with the table mounts and not stands, to free up floor space. Here’s my question: The soft boxes are big (and not cheap), and I know the supplied “diffuser” hardly diffuses. It just prevents your shadows from looking like hundreds of dots. Any ideas on jerry-rigging these for softer light? Like, back in the old days (I’m an old fart now), we would sometimes tape a piece of lens cleaning tissue over our flashes to soften. My set-up is going to be 99% medium close-up, so I expect the barn doors to be useful for me. I’d like to come up with something easy and cheap, without taking up space, where I could use those doors as a “diffuser holder,” more or less. If you can, thanks for the input. I’m new to all this and my head is spinning.
I bought a couple of Neewer 288 lights for my green screen with ceiling mounts instead. I think I'm glad. I was so close to buying these 660s but they're not bright enough.
Awesome recreation! I don’t love apps for controlling. Can I control EVERYTHING from the light or is the app required for some things, say color changes? Looking at the pro… even the Neewer website doesn’t make this clear. Thanks in advance!
Thanks! I don't like apps either. I've been able to change everything I need to from the light itself. I think the only scenario where you might need the app is if you wanted to sync two or three lights, but how often do you need to do that? Hope this helps!
I bought these, and my camera doesn’t seem to want to pick up the full saturation on the light. Know any way to get a camera to pick up these lights better?
Do the lights have any noticeable fan noise? I'm guessing if the lights get hot to the touch there might not be a fan or it runs very low? Great review and very interested in the lighting kit!
Hi, thank for this video, I'm hesitate with the 660 pro, but my problem is that maybe It will probably not be brighter as the bi-bicolor because of less led ( but it said it's new and more powerful ) , do you think I will be noticeable ? very much less ? I think the possibility of the pro with the rgb are very cool, but vs power ...brightness, does it worth . I also thought of bi-color with color filter ... but not easy as the pro .. thanks
@@illypop Hi, I finally bought the GVM 1000D much much brighter , and no doubt with white color power :-) there is more led !! works very great. a little bit more expensive but worth it !!
Hello! Great video! At 4:06 what reflector did you say that was? I couldn’t catch that and been looking to get one for 7 years now when I saw it in film school
Fam you're making a good case for these lights and I'm slowly drifting to these. I'm torn between a set of these 3 or the Godox ML60... I'm not just shooting TH-cam videos but planning to get into corporate videos too... which would you pick? FOr the budget I can get 3 of these puppies or 1 ML60. The ML60 is brighter but not as versatile...
Hmm from my experience of shooting both interviews and TH-cam videos. You'll want a big, bright, soft, source as your key light. I would recommend a godox sl60w geni.us/x7ln or the new aputure amaran 100D www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1609874-REG/aputure_amaran_100d_100d_led_light.html along with a softbox modifier geni.us/jpTe This will be your most versatile light. I would also recommend having smaller panel light to use as a hair light or to throw light onto a background for youtube. Purchasing one Neewer 660RGB would be great for this.
Awesome! I’d recommend a light like this geni.us/6vMm6 and a Bowen’s mount softbox that I reviewed here th-cam.com/video/ckwTeT2DgPM/w-d-xo.html this should come with a grid if you need it!
Hi! You don't necessarily need a diffuser, but it depends on how you use them. If your lighting yourself then the soft box will be helpful! If your lighting backgrounds or products I don't think you'll need it. Here are some soft box diffusers that are specifically made for these lights. amzn.to/3CzKTVM
I'd say so. Brightness is not the key element for green screen. You just need even coverage to make pulling a key easier. This depends on what key light you are using.
Loved your recreation of this scene!! Nailed it 🔥
Thanks Nolan!

@Carmelo Benicio Instablaster ;)
I love the way you recreated the club scene to demonstrate the versatility ♥️
Thanks! Good to mix things up with something fun
Being an old timer coming from the days of 750w Halogen studio lights, the talk about these lights getting warm made me chuckle.
Haha! I bet.

Very calm and informative, so thank you for that!
You're very welcome!
Epic video. This light is on Prime Deal, for the next 2 hours. Just got me one!
Nice! Hope you like it!
Great review!!!
Just picked up the 530 Pros and this really helped me confirm I made the right choice for my budget!
Glad I could help!

Super solid review/tutorial!!
Appreciate it!
great demo mate, thank you for the info!
Glad it helps! :)
There is a difference between NEEWER 660 vs. NEEWER 660 PRO (the later is 50w and CRI 97+) no one has compared the two...
Adding this to my cart right now, I've needed some LED panels
Dope!
WIll these and other NEEWER lights work with Streamdeck to control them?
love the intro! creative
Thank you!
Hey this was pretty cool. Thanks!

Hi, thanks for the review. In terms of strength, can these be used to film a short film scene? Say filmed at home or a bedroom?
Totally!

I use soundstripe :)
I can’t decided between the neewer and the pixel k80
Is there any amazon link to get this? Good 1 Bro
Yep! amzn.to/3iWUNHR
Buennaa me gusto esa introducion muy buena felicitaciones.
Awesome video what do you use for the front and side
Hey Christian! Are you talking about my talking head portion?
@@NatesFilmTutorials yes sir. And what do you recommend. I was thinking a third light setup with the diffuser and gril

Does the light output get reduced when using only batteries?
Nope!

What's the difference between these and the "pro" version?
I didn't realize there was a pro version. Look like they upgraded from 40W to 50W for more brightness and improved the CRI to 97+
Hi its battery include in package??
Hi Hunter! Unfortunately, it does not. It takes these batteries. geni.us/OxoY
Difference between this and 650?
I believe the 660 and 660 Pro are brighter
Are these bright enough for a chromakey greenscreen ?
I'd say so. Brightness is not the key element for green screen. You just need even coverage to make pulling a key easier. This depends on what key light you are using.
@@NatesFilmTutorials Tkx so much 🙏🏽. What key light would you suggest ?

660 pro rgb or the gvm 800D?
Good question. I should be getting the 800D in soon to compare it
I just received mine, I can't change colors??? U have red, blue white. Mine is white or yellow
Sounds like you didn’t purchase the RGB version
