great review thanks, kind of put me off them though for background accent lights maybe ok. Regarding softboxes etc for amaran led lights - I have bowens mount photography mods -can they be used on led lights or are there reasons why you need led specific ones.
In general, you can use a Bowens mount accessory with an Amaran light that has a Bowens mount, it should work. Only thing to be careful with is that sometimes the COB region may extend a bit further than that of a photography light and so the illumination area may be less even than with a modifier made specifically for an LED light. This is particularly important when you think about modifiers like spotlights which can get extremely hot and whose optics may be tuned for a specific source-to-glass distance.
I’m not really sure. I don’t have those panel lights. I will say that they seem similar so I wouldn’t necessarily think that they would be dramatically different.
I have been able to overpower the sun in some cases with a 300c. I agree. The 150c may be too low power. Probably a 600d would be what most would need for that purpose.
That’s really unfortunate, I haven’t had any issue like that with these. But I can say, they’re a very budget brand where quality is definitely not at the core
Thanks for the information, definitely a lot of information that I wouldn’t have been aware of.
Thanks for commenting! Glad you found the video helpful! I definitely tried to show lots of examples

Anytime bro! Glad you found the video helpful! 😎
Are the batteries charged in the lamp or do you need a separate charger?
Good question, you need a separate charger, unfortunately.
Are the GVM 1000D much better?

150c is not really a good recommendation for overpowering the sun. You need more firepower for that. I would even consider 300c too small for that.

Neewer brand is disappointing, I got me a softbox, it’s ripped after second use

What would you recommend for RGB light for background scenes? Thanks
@elaroussinoureddine9801 the Amaran 300 C or 150 C. I have a video on the 300 C on the channel.
@@jackofmanytrades thank you
