I'm super stoked that we carry Civivi now. My coworker's been looking to pick up her first pocket knife for a trip she's about to go on, and I managed to sell her on one of the Civivis. 😊

I don’t think EDC is dead, because most of us in the community was doing it well before it was a thing. If anything it will potentially introduce more people to the community, but since the knives don’t say EDC on them I don’t think people will figure it out, or think it is just for those that carry the unmentionable.

EDC not dead. On line stores. The knives sellout fast, on line chat rooms you learn from one another and buy or trade. Big box stores are for low end to get you started.

I bought a zippo lighter from Walmart for about $11.00. Never seen that particular style of packaging before. I think it’s the same deal as your civivi.

Qubit is an awesome knife. It's my beater when I don't feel like carrying something larger, action is awesome and aluminum feels great. Surprised and happy to see them this readily available.

Thanks for the share!! It's nice to know I can just stop in at the local Walmart and pick up something like the Civivis. I've got the frame lock Elementum. It's a really nice knife - lightweight and on the smaller side. I've seen great reviews on the Qubit too. Honestly I'd keep 'em both!
That's a good way of looking at it. I can easily replace a knife if the need arises. I'm kinda thinking I will keep the Qubit. I don't own one currently.

Oh wow, that's the same Civivi I carry, the Qubit. It's been a solid knife so far. I have criticized Civivi lately for making knifes that are too focused on "unique" designs instead of real utilitarian blades. They need a hard working wharncliffe button lock with no flashy gimmicky designs.
100% agreed. They have been focusing too much on pumping out new designs.
I feel your pain.This is how cold steel fanboys felt when gsm bought them. It hurts when i see a $10 cold steel at tractor supply. They never sell the good ones. Just the cheap crap that makes the brand look bad.
That was such a disappointment. They really ruined that brand.

What I'm really interested in is what's going to happen for Christmas.
Just got a Qubit for 30 today. It was in the clearance aisle for some reason lol. Been wanting to try a Civivi for a while now and my first impression is that theyre very well built. Seems like Civivi puts fit and finish in top priority. My Qubit was also razor sharp out of the package. I don't see how people can call Civivi cheap Chinese crap. Thanks for the heads up that WM is going to be carrying Civivi.
Ohhhhh man! I'm jealous! That's a killer price! I kept my Qubit and it is a fantastic blade. It lives up to the hype.

Are they “exclusive” “special” version made just for Walmart? Walmart squeezes suppliers so hard they’re rarely as good as the regular versions.
They look to be exactly the same as sold online. Just in retail packaging.
They’ve also been selling Swiss tech for awhile. A high quality inexpensive brand.
I haven't pulled the trigger on Swiss Tech yet. I need to though.

For some reason I don't like the idea of carrying a knife that I could buy at Walmart. I think it's the clamshell packaging that ruins it for me. It feels cheap and wrong. I like my knives to come in a box.
I get that. There is definitely a process. Aunt clamshell packaging just fit in that process.

Well, my Walmart knife section sucked as of a few days ago. The case was a mess and had hardly any knives in it. Maybe they were cleaning it out for all the Civicis? Haha

I do maintenance and get asked to open combination locks from adults trying to get in their lockers often

I just saw these in the case at Walmart yesterday. I was there picking up some Swisstech knives for an upcoming video. I was surprised to see that Walmart has a pretty good selection of knives.
It's pretty awesome that they are turning around in the knife section. I was stoked to see all the new knives.
That CRKT is nice and a good price
I am really loving it. I feel like I stole it at that price.
Darn. Now I'm going to have to make a trip to my local Wally World and see if they've got any of these. That CRKT Squid for $13 looked really good, I'm gonna snap up that one if they have it for that price!

Wow this is a gateway strategy for Civivi....curious if they had these locked up? Their website shows 4 models in store and 85 available thru the web. I'd snag another Praxis in a heartbeat because it's such a good knife for $30. Makes me think they are over charging for their Elementums due to popularity.
As of yesterday, they didn't even show up on their app for me. I think it may be a slow roll out?
The Praxis is great. I usually edc one. The mini praxis is quite small. Unless you have really small hands I would stick with the regular one.
ChinaMart use to carry the Kershaw Blur.
They still do. At least in some of them.

Damned nice knife. I believe it was also $50, at the time.

Probably a one off. I doubt we will see more like this in their other models.
I know I’ve thought that for years. Why the heck does Home Depot only sell coast for flashlights? You would think all these other companies would be trying to get their stuff in there. And as far as knives go, it’s a terrible selection as well. I used to remember when there were spider codes at the Walmart that I used to go to. I’m not even gonna bother changing that. I obviously didn’t mean spider codes. What are spider codes anyways? Can AI help with the voice to text yet? Anyways, I used to see spider codes at Walmart. They were codes made up of spiders. I’ve heard of dress codes until I went to Walmart and saw spider codes and my whole world view changed. They also have CRkT at the Walmart. but it’s not like a great selection considering how many models they actually are but wow I’m stoked if they have severe there CVCVV but you know what I’m trying to say. See the TV or CVV something like that.

The cell phone you're using has done a lot more damage to the American economy and supported the Chinese military way more than any Civivi knife.

American companies are screwing us over with greed and high prices. BM Bugout is $160.00. I can buy 16 clones from China for the same price. No way it should be that much price difference.

Civivi announced on Instagram that their knives were going to be in Walmart stores a few days ago. Though they didn’t say which models. I don’t shop Walmart often. When I do, I go by the sporting goods to see what knives they have in stock. Lately, it’s pretty slim. We’ll see if these show up there.

@@SurvivingtheDaily Civivi probably signed a deal months ago. The post said that their knives were going to be in 3600 WalMart stores. You don’t generate that of inventory overnight. So no need to jump the gun and make an announcement until knives are on the shelves.

Because not every cheap Chinese product is created equally, these are a marked improvement over the usual 8cr13 or mystery steel that Walmart usually carries outside of a couple of Buck exceptions

What a waste of a video. You didn't even unpack the knives.
That said, you mentioned Walmart never having good knives until now..??... you must be new. They've had Kershaw for forever. Bought my first Kershaw, a Blur, there about 20 years ago. They still carry them... I just replaced my Kershaw Cryo, also bought at Walmart with another Cryo, because after getting excited when seeing the Civivi I wasn't impressed. The deployment of the blade was sloppy and loose. I will say that I loved the handle on every one I tried... but in the end, I went with what I knew, a tried and true because blade deployment on the Kershaw is no joke. Super stout and fast.
Did they get a bad batch? Maybe. I'll try again down the road, but 1st impressions weren't good.
I own both the Kershaw's that you mention, and they cannot be compared with the Civivi. While they are stand up knives, they are an old design. They are spring assisted where most Civivi knives are not. Most modern designed knives are not spring assisted to be honest. That's why they felt loose or sloppy. You are comparing apples to oranges
@@SurvivingtheDaily they definitely can be compared. I did it and didn't like any of the Civivi they had. It had nothing to do with being assisted or not.
