- The first rigid-hulled, aluminium-chambered Stabicraft boat was built by Paul Adams and Bruce Dickens in 1986, in a backyard workshop at the bottom of New Zealand’s South Island. Today, they’re recognised all over the world as a bonafide saltwater sled. Yep, it’s been quite the journey for New Zealand’s most prolific builder.

Love seeing inside these factories!
Always on my wish list…
Great video, thanks guys😊
I don't understand why more aus manufacturers don't make these style of boat? Supaduck and ocean cylinder back on the day but are there any current makers?
Please add move vee the only thing that lets them down in lack of vee makes sense to since the pontoons would settle the rock at rest please consider it stabicraft
Our dive club bought a stab in 86. Wonder what happened to it? might try and find it.
Cool design and story to go with it. Sad to see the Chinese copied these boats, and Australian dealers happy to promote the knock-offs. I hope to see stabi continue to flourish I. The future, and hopefully in the fire I can own one some day to enjoy with my family in OZ.
they just laid off most of their staff. economy's crashed over here. good luck getting one of these boats new
Love them but the price has skyrocketed since they entered the US market
That’s all boats in the US. The boat market is insane here.
That was nothing more than an ad though, even if it was a good one !
Do video on polycraft
I had a 2050 NT Frontier and was a beautifully made soft riding boat. BUT!! What a wet pig, i would never buy another open Stabicraft. If you're going to buy one, make sure it has a cabin.
All boats are wet at some stage or another
@kizzjd9578 I have had a fair few boats, and it was the wettest by far. It was so wet on one occasion that it made my kids cry.
Good boats but cats out run out space and out ride them and they’re not unsinkable
Seems like a paid advertising.
