I've never played any 40k games, just bought my first 3 minis and paints, and had already decided I was going to pre-order this set as my first set into wargaming. I have no idea what's going on here but I'm still very excited to learn, build, paint, and play!
Congrats. As a serious tip: finish painting what you have before buying more. Buying kits is easy finishing them not. And its quite frustrating looking at a pile of unfinished projects.
Finish it, be proud and move to the next.
@@VermillionBeard Kill Team is the best entry into GW wargames imo. Full size 40k can be very overwhelming. KT is the perfectly manageable from a rules perspective and from a painting/hobby perspective. Have fun!

Vespid are so much fun. I love Tau for their multi-species approach and which we could see more auxillaries!
I just stopped by my GW to order a couple of Legions Imperialis rulebooks and saw my manager putting these guys together. They look AMAZING in person, the Vespids are fantastic and now I want the Tempestus even though I'm already kitbashing my own Krieg jump troops.
A question to those of you who have warhammer+.
Are all Battle Reports that high production? Because this would actually be a reason for me to subscribe, most community battle reports on youtube are just too hard to follow when you are not that deep into the game systems. Having the equipment/skill effects etc. shown inbetween and also having those overlay markers of what model actually attacks which model makes it so much easier to follow and understand what is going on.

I like this boxset but want to ask if there will be a new Recruit starter set for Kill Team like we have now??
There definitely will be, but not at the same time as the Edition box. Starter sets will come after Edition boxes have sold out. No guarantee, but I believe the 2nd edition starter came about 3 months after Octarius released.
the defense rolls from the vespids were absolutely insane this game.
Would absolutely love a co-op batrep too!
The blue paint scheme for vespids is personally so much better than the orange on the official art.
I was thinking the opposite as I love brighter colours and the orange just pops but can I understand how people

Is Volkus going to be one of the supported killzones like Gallowdark?
Yes. For this season, the supported Kill Zones will be Volkus, Bheta Decima and Gallowdark.

@@nickbayton941 But what happened 17:33 when Josh's roll suddenly changed from 3,6,4 to a 4,5,6 roll?! Josh's roll changed while your roll of a 4,4,4 stayed the same. I cant make it make sense. Also from one thing to another, i love the new rules, but seeing you throw the game with the activation order just to make the game look "closer" is kind of painful.
@12:50 Aerial Agility says a maximum of one attack dice per shooting sequence. Vespid player rolled two 😑
@@Kimkimkimlove A maximum of one hit can be ignored on a successful roll. Both hits had the same damage, so there’s no reason they couldn’t roll for both at the same time, even though they could only ever ignore damage from one die.
@@Kimkimkimlove so the wording is it can only ignore one attack dice, but you can roll for each one. So if he rolled two 5+’s then he could only use one of them.
Those jets are really goofy looking IMO.
Thank you for this battlereport… besides your dice really wobble strangely 😂 seems they got some weight to get certains results to avoid endless filming for the results the Battrep need 😆😉 well besides that i am eager to know more about the CoOp/Solo mode… which will be the reason to buy this box 🙌🏻😎

They were using the open play mission in the core book, which doesn't use those. I think they wanted an easier to follow game for new viewers
