Hey don't laugh! It's a well kept secret that Walmart has a special line of spacesuits for all occasions. They are kept in a secret room next to the restrooms and you have to ask the dude who cleans the shitters to acquire one. Although, I'm not really sure that they aren't kept 35 stories underground. Gotta go down an elevator that's in that room??? Don't let on that I told you, I don't want the MIB visiting me.
In the Star Trek universe, Io would be considered a Class Y world. A Class Y planet (nicknamed "Demon Class" by Starfleet) would be defined as inhospitable to human life with the toxic atmosphere and the hellish landscape the planet has.
One thing that I have been thinking about in the Star Trek verse, is there technology. If they’re able to transport your body from one location to another, while also being able to reconstruct your body perfectly as it was down to the molecular level. Then IO’s inhospitable surface wouldn’t matter. Because they would have extremely advanced space protection. Space protection so advanced that you wouldn’t even have to put it on and wear it like an outfit. It would instead be an invisible force field surrounding you that perfectly matches the shape of your body at all times, and could be instantly activated with just a push of a button.

You'd be better off on Ganymede than Io. Ganymede has a thicker atmosphere than Io (albeit marginally), and the radiation is much lower, possibly even survivable.
