I liked the "ting ting ta-ting ta-ting" part.
jacob casler 😂😂😂😂
Ride cymbal
ride cymbal + ride bell combo :)
I legit looked up this video just to watch him play that part because I loved the creativeness to it and wanted to see how he did it.
Not "ting ting ta-ting ta-ting" But..... "Trrriting tang ting ting tang ting" Part. Thx and your welcome
As a drummer I know we can be snobs and pop off hundreds of names of guys who are much technically superior, but Barker just makes drums damn fun and to me that's what it's all about!
+throwdown47 exactly, I feel the same about dave grohl. As a drummer its disappointing when i see comments bashing drummers just because there are others that can play technically more difficult things.
As long as you're inspired who cares what the skill level is... If it wasn't for him, many people wouldn't be playing.
A lot of times people forget that just because you're watching him play a punk song that thats his top bar. Travis Barker can probably play a lot of the 'more technical' stuff a lot of people say he can't. A Jon Bonham or Neil Peart solo wouldnt sound good in a Blink or Transplants song. I'm sure he could get down with them though.
this ^^
have a buddy who absolutely shreds metal all day, but if you ask him to play some classical guitar stuff, he can easily do it too.
FlamesRS : Exactly!! Travis being so talented, for him to decide to join and stay with a punk rock band means he’s enjoying it ! Loves punk rock music ! I’m sick of ppl bashing a great drummer because punk rock drum tempo doesn’t seems technical enough for em ‘ . Travis is one of the very few able to make punk rock drums sounds special! Same thing goes for Byron McMackin ! Yes .. some punk rock bands are just talented enough to create a hook as a song then call it a day.. but lots of punk rock bands/artists are so underrated based on the music style !!
It's sad how many people rip on Travis. He is so much better than people think he is. He creates the most unique beats for a punk band it's AWESOME! Ah well.
Thank, you!! I agree whole-heatedly.
Agreed
Sad? Jajaja
blibk doesn't really show his talent off as much anymore either. the other hip hop stuff and marching snare shit is insane
Who the hell rips on Travis?? Even the ones that hate Blink still agree that he’s one of the best.
Ridiculous... absolutely insane. This guy will always be one of my drumming idols.
Travis deserves every dollar he gets paid for doing his art... talent, passion, awesome person and much more.
my god his endurance...
Punk Rock will do that for ya lol
;)
Iya kemproh xixii
that's what she said
@@ZShenlong1 it's not punk rock anymore since 1999
Love the ride bell part
Chris M. Ikr, it sounds wicked. It's tricky to play up to speed of the album recording but when you getit it sounds incredible
hell yeah. does he do single strokes on the ride or are they doubles?
Noah Embry not sure but I think it's a mix of both.. it's kind of an off time on the bell to the snare though to give it a flutter feel
@@noahembry1440 its combination single and double but most important play it fast and clean
@@noahembry1440 R L RRLR R L RRLR
his drumming is powerfull, fast and very creative
my God Travis Barker is the most creative drummer of all time. there's no doubting that. sounds sooo sick
man, I'm not gonna say Travis is the greatest drummer ever, but if we're talking about in the realm of Punk or Pop Punk he's definitely gotta be up there if not #1. this guy is so damn talented and does little additions to his drumming to really give it flair and variety. love watching this guy drum
I'm talking about the way he plays. he adds his own flair and style. obviously it's not the most technical style. its (pop)punk
djent is totally a genre well, this song has a lot of doubles and you just say "singles strokes", great ear and knowledge, just a hater
djent is totally a genre Go play an hour and a half set of songs that are all this fast and tell me that punk drumming is weak.
NICKHAM16 punk drumming is weak. go play an hour and a half set list of deathmetal and progressive metal, then tell me how much punk drumming is over hyped. you're garbage
djent is totally a genre Yes because drumming needs to be technically advanced to be cool. Appreciate all forms of music.
My respect for this guy will always be huge, especially when you realize that when this song and the album it came from were recorded very soon after the plane crash. To be able to play like that, and while still recovering mentally and physically, takes pure talent and endurance.
Faster than my internet connection
This is true dedication to drumming we should all bow to this legend
the sound of his drum his fucking great ! such a beast ! respect master ! ;)
Speed and endurance are insane. Imagine he plays in one-two hours like this.
I used to be one of those guys that never thought much of Travis. After reading an article in Drum magazine, my perspective of him completely changed!!! His talent goes way beyond what he plays for Blink. Plus what slot of others don’t realize is he was in drum corps for years and he incorporates a lot of that in his playing. Most don’t recognize it! You can tell by the way he holds his sticks how disciplined he was/is!!! I used to think he just had bad technique!!! And let’s not forget his endurance and intensity!!! How many other guys his age are out there playing like this and can maintain that day in and day out??? My hats off to him!!!
I love how he plays it exactly like the record
He’s so good
He plays exactly like the record AND MORE. he's that good
I got tired just to watch him play...imagine do a whole set! Travis is the best drummer ever
I bet that's all Travis hears when he plays for Blink.
OrangeChickenPrime I don't think so. He have the IEM.
Lap Yan Tang What is that? Please tell me? I love learning new things about live performances
"In Ear Monitor"
GoofyGonzalo OCP Hopefully. Have you heard Tom sing live?
GoofyGonzalo OCP he only uses one in ear. So he can here if the other guys change something or improvises
does he play this hard and fast the whole show? cuz I don't see how he doesn't die of exhaustion.
(and I mean that in a good way)
adam w. Not the whole show, but he puts tons of energy into every song he plays in a set; from the opening song, Feeling This to the closing song, Dammit
He doesn't. Blink cut off their balls after Scott left.
@@ipetloudog Scott didn't leave he was kicked out for Travis to join
@@bigbananadealer846 um no. He was kicked for drinking too much
Definitely one of his top 10 songs.
god the ride bell part is so awesome
Blink is not my cup of tea... but this man is a very good drummer and what he's doing is way harder than it looks, especially keeping up with the tempo and the stamina it takes.
True master in that style !!
My favourite aspect of this video is the sound. A good representation of what a drummer hears in some live situations (if not using ear monitors). Put this with these camera angles, and it makes for a great insight!
We all knew that Travis is one hell of a drummer, but seeing this just drives the point home!
lol i felt so tired looking at his drumming and yet its a very flawless performance.
Smooth drum kick. Never miss a single beat.
Ok. That was pretty intense. This man does an awesome job
i feel exhausted after watching this
Neighborhoods contains the best drumming he's done so far, it seriously inspired me to become a much better drummer and successfully did so. It's a great album that took a bit of time to enjoy but now I don't get burned out by it at all.
Jesper Andersen yeah it’s probably cuz he had 7 years to practice his blink drumming in between records 😂 but yeah the drums on that album are great
Travis is the definition of follow your passion and do what you love :)
Absolutely flawless
This song is insane, absolutely love it
this drumming is just insane i think is the best so far!!!
My favourite drummer !!😍
He’s honestly the best, he adds so much when he doesn’t have to, but he does kuz that’s just the way he is 👑
I do not like his music, image or personality. But I do appreciate the effort, the fact that he is really feeling it and the fact that he's professional. I don't feel a need to hate on him needlessly. I bought his signature practice pad today and really like it. We all like different things, deal with it. Here's a guy who's worked his ass off his entire life to get where he is. Let's all appreciate that. I am in awe of his stamina and consistency. Wish me luck on the beginning of my path to becoming a drummer!
What a beast! I get so much inspiration watching this!
Those ride bell combos on the double-time chorus are killer !!
The man is a BEAST!! That snare is takin a beatin, now that's a guy playing for his supper! Giver Travis man!
Travis and the Rev made me a drummer. Both are my biggest inspiration
Yeah me too
Travis muffuckin barker beast mode 🔥 will always be my drum idol no one will ever change that 👌🏽
Best Drummer in the business. His style is never static and always changing.
I really like how all other noise is drowned out but the drums. I feel like this is what someone in the zone hears
Me too you can tell how tight his drum sound is. He keeps his snare almost like a marching and snare. Even the toms are tight
Damn, the amount of energy Travis goes through in a concert is insane...
no one can hold a beat quite like Travis. The guys not human.
Love this song..
trav got soul swag n love wat he's doin best drummer ever lived
Excelente, una de las mejores lineas de Travis Barker!
This concert was the last time I saw blink-182 with Tom. It was an awesome night. Still wish I could've seen the band in their heyday like 99 Warped
So solid! Absolutely a beast!
If you think he can’t play you don’t know crap. Travis is a beat making machine.
The beast! Hail Travis Barker!
love it! the energy so powerful
@@Meliwitchi her? HER? are you serious right now?
@@paradigmshiftz7 bad english im mexican sorry i try to say his drums
@@Meliwitchi oh ok sorry for being a dick :)
Amazing!
My king Travis Barker...
He is a legend of drummer "Because legend never die"
He is just beast!
I gotta admit this is the best drumming I’ve ever seen from Travis with them. I was always disappointed about enema when he joined cause I loved the double time beats on Buddha and dude ranch. And Travis just played half time beats on every song. I knew he could play double time but he just never did it back then. But that was unreal. His ride bell skill on this is unreal
I get what your saying but at the same time the drumming on all the pre Travis stuff can be pretty bland. It's the same beat, the same fills, the same tempo for nearly every song.
Where Travis might not play at blinding speeds he's super creative and has created an iconic drum beat or fill on basically every record he's ever made
It's not like they completely got away from that sound, they just sprinkled in the faster songs here and there instead of giving you a whole album full of it. There were always at least a handful of fast songs on Enema, Neighborhoods and TOYPAJ (Anthem, Online Songs, Time To Break Up, Heart's All Gone, etc)
for me Travis is the best
That hi-hat work and endurance.... damn
the man is a GOD on the kit!!
JUST AMAZING SKILLS ! ! ! ! !
So awesome
The man, the legend, Travis fuckn' Barker 🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻
This drum part is awesome.
Travis is just insane.
Damn.. how far i left behind?
I just see this in 2019
Why? Why nobody telling me that blink is punk or pop punk? With powerfull drummer?
Now i love how travis use his skill into drum 😍😍😍
amazing!
its fvcking clean broooo
Fenomenal!!
Non so come si possa durare un concerto di tre ore a quella velocità e con quella potenza..grande Travis
travis is the best pop punk drummer i have seen and heard. ththe speed and endurance. plus the song is under 2 minutes and he did so much more than 10 songs combined of todays crap music,. and just think he has to play over an hour of mostly fast paced tunes.🎵🎧🤘🤘🤘
Awesome!!
so underated album
My god, the stamina that man has.
Eat shit. Smelly blows him outta the water every night they play
@@ipetloudog You're the one eating shit dumb fuck. Came here just to rant about the person in the video? Must suck to suck.
@@CherryGryffon Exactly bro.

This is godly
Hearts all Gone is from "Neighborhoods" not "Dogs Eating Dogs"
Travis barker memang terbaik .
truly an amazing drummer!
***** thanks :D
That's awesome
oh yes amazing
I may not be a big fan of travises favorite music as of late, however there's no denying theres nobody with the same style as him..his grooves are very unique n u can usually tell barkers drumming apart from others. Alot of fast snare n high hat action. U can probaly play 90% of his catalogue with just a snare, bass drum n hi hat with a 1 crash n 1 ride for effect..
I imagine this is how Travis hears every blink song in his head
Legend
Adooooh..
Underrated
The best
iconic
Thats impressive!!
POWER!!!
God dayum boy!
Fuck, he is such a great drummer! respect for the man!!!
