    Cant believe a lack of gear indicator was mentioned 4 times in a short video. Exactly one of the reasons I own one.

      Haha! Thanks for watching and for counting! What I can’t believe is how many BMW R9T owners are watching a video from a self proclaimed Ducatista on a bike they already own. Of course you love it! Seriously though, like I said very purposely in the recap - just like when I rode the Triumph T100 - what I learn from riding so many different bikes is that there really are different bikes for different riders and that is a good thing. And of course we judge each other…that is life. I grew up riding in the 70’s and 80’s on bikes that had nothing… no shift indicators, no ABS, no traction control, you name it, and the way I ride now is not suited to this bike unless maybe it was my second or third bike. I also rode the Ducati Scrambler 1100 and would suggest that is an experience in what a Scrambler can be - including all the tech I like now. Don’t be surprised in the future if you see an off road capable scrambler in my videos! Cheers! Hi

      Makes sense what you saying, as the R nine T is a 3rd bike for me, the simplicity of it is what caught my eye. ButnI hear you that it reminds you of the 70s and 80s. I was only born mid 80s, so I understand now what you mean. Just thouht you were a little biased but also hear you that you are a Ducati fan. Makes sense. Like you say each guy will defend his brand to the end😂. Enjoy.

    Rad bike. Simple. I always wanted a ducati but am very afraid of the reliability and computer gremlins

      Thanks for watching! 2nd New Ducati in 3 seasons and zero issues!! I’m sold. And not just fast AF, the tech is unmatched. I added the factory heated grips and I am ready for spring riding!!

    These 2023 scramblers are actually good value compared to others. $16.7 k with all costs except tax. On sale ducati 1100 scrambler is $21k, triumph xe is $20k+. Bikes are just skyrocketing in price

      Thanks for watching. The comparable to the Scrambler 1100 Ducati is the BMW R 12 and those are $23-24K. I would ride a Ducati Scrambler 800 (I love the Desert Sled) all day for $17K with modern gauges, quick shifter, etc. I rode all of these back to back and the Ducati is just a better bike all round. That said, I agree 100% - when I started looking at Monsters and Scramblers in 2020 they were @ $12K for an 800. No reason for 40% increase in prices in these bikes. I am looking at 2017-2019 Scramblers and they are still asking $12K. Ridiculous.

    I wonder, can you really adjust to the sound coming from a Monster and Scrambler 1100?

    • @streetsandpeaks3013
      @streetsandpeaks3013  ปีที่แล้ว

      I rode the Monster SP with the Termi upgrade and it was cool but nothing like the sound of my SFV2. Between the BMW and the Scrambler 1100 … No comparison! You would have to swap out the exhaust on the BMW to make it sound better. 👍🏼

      @@streetsandpeaks3013 I don't know, changing the factory akrapovic makes the sound seems raspier on the Nine T. It's the only thing keeping me from buying one

    All you did was point out how the R9T differs from your bike as if that was a criticism. By the way, any decent rider knows what gear they're in without looking at the dash.

    • @streetsandpeaks3013

      Take it how you will. What I really did is point out how different bikes suit different riders. I also pointed out BMW offers a tachometer as an add on … which every other bike has standard. I would add it. If these light weight, light performance cruiser bikes are for you, more power buddy. 👍🏼 Do you ride a BMW perhaps?

    I ride the 719 red and black rninet scrambler. I will say my only complaint about the bike is that it just looks so damn good. I find myself doing a lot of work trying to keep it in showroom condition(which is hard because I am a daily rider even in the rain). But it feels sacrilegious to just leave rain water or pollen, or road dust sitting on it.

    • @coreytravisbean

      I'd like to add about the single gauge. If you get one of these get the KOSO digital gauge. Has all the things you miss with the stock gauge. Gear indicator, rev counter, plus a shit ton more.

    Ah!! My place in calgary! Love this bike. I am waiting to see this new R 12 nine T coming out this fall. However these end of year rebate on the Regular nine T are attractive!

      Nice!! Thanks for watching! The BMW was a blast - just wish it had all the tech and power of the Duc Scrambler 1100. If buying two Ducati’s in 14 months has thought me anything … wait for the bike you really want bro! Haha Seriously though, love the look and the smooth ride. It doesn’t really need a bigger engine, it needs more power!! But I ride like a dummy so my idea cruising is likely never going to land me on a Scrambler. 🤘🏼

    R9t scrambler is an awesome bike
    It has enough power for fun and tour. Exhaust sound and engine feelings are pretty good.
    And you can be a Tom cruise 😂

    • @streetsandpeaks3013
      @streetsandpeaks3013  ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha! Love it! Tom Cruise!! Honestly, adding a Tach is a quick OEM add on and you have a great bike here if there is in fact no more Ducati Scrambler 1100’s coming.

    I can get 0-60 on mine in 3.6 seconds. Once you have the rev counter it makes it so much easier. It feels like you are revved high but you are only really reviving it out to about 5k rpms here.

      @streetsandpeaks3013  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for watching. At @ 4:20 I go off the light and you can’t hear because of the voice over but that is full throttle…I don’t know about your bike but there is no way this bike was getting anywhere near that acceleration. If you get a chance - jump on a Streetfighter and it will rocket you to 60. 👍🏼

    • @coreytravisbean
      @coreytravisbean 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@streetsandpeaks3013 Oh yeah for sure. Im a motorcycle mechanic so I get to ride a bunch of different motorcycles. I've ridden a ducati street fighter and they are lightning quick. Idk, maybe they had the ECU throttled for break in, or it was stuck in rain mode or something. It definitely wont keep up with a streetfighter, or even a 600cc supersport, but it'll still book it to 60mph. There's a youtube video of someone going 0-60 on the r9t in 3.1, and supposedly someone has done it in 2.9, but I haven't seen it myself to verify. My guess is something was going on with the one they loaned you, throttling it's power. That being said, if money wasn't an issue i'd be on a ducati as well. A diavel most likely, but maybe a streetfighter. You have excellent tastes in bikes.

      You think that was full throttle acceleration on a 109hp bike? You must be kidding. Have a look at any other youtube video of a RnineT.

    • @coreytravisbean
      @coreytravisbean 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@davelikesbikes7868 Yeah, I'm assuming it's either in rain mode, or was throttled from the dealership for some reason. It accelerated like a KLR in this clip.
