GasGas ES 700 OFF-ROAD!! Ride and Review
nice video, I just picked up the same bike and cant wait till spring to get it out(northern Minnesota) What kind of boots are wearing, I could use a boost in height! Thank you.
Thanks for watching! That’s a good question - I am 5’11” and went with the Alpinestars Tech 7 Enduro (GasGas Edition). The Enduro has a thicker sole with more grip so it gives me an extra inch over my standard SMX A Stars. One note though - like a lot of other TH-camr riders, I raised my shifter to just above the height of my right peg since the Tech 7 is so stiff. They have great protection and are super comfortable. I didn’t get the dry star but it’s mostly only wet up here in the early spring or late fall… for a long trip the waterproof version might pay off. 👍🏼
This is a toyota matrix
The Toyota Matrix was actually a partnership with GM. The Pontiac Vibe was the same car.
Put a tracker on it monimoto just in case they pick it up cops will find it
@@Jutamayo Agreed. 👍🏼
Feels bigger and more heavy then Monster 950
Definitely is heavier (26lbs heavier) but I find the shorter wheel base of the SFV2 and more aggressive position makes for a much quicker turn in. It is also wider between the thighs … funny the SFV4 is only 5lbs heavier than the V2 and narrower. Thanks for watching. 🤘🏼
Criminal Poeple will thank for you CreditCard-Information. Number, ExpireDate, Pin...........Irresponsible
Hi! are the handlebar counterweights working properly? Do you have less vibrations? Great video ;)
Hey - good eye. I put my old Streetfighter counter weighs on since I cruise pretty fast and the 700 steering is super stable on the highway… at least up to 160kph which is about the limit of the tires, but it still punches up to 180 no problem. Haha
@@streetsandpeaks3013 and about vibrations?
@@edwsecOnly vibration is the front tire over 160. I rode the 701 with rim locks and by all accounts it was brutal on road. Likely more to do with wheel balance. I haven’t ridden without the weights on my 700 but I will take them off when I get proper hand guards.
how tall are u and about the seat height
Hey thanks for watching. I am 180cm (5’11”). The seat is tall…but feels OK with my enduro boots. I was thinking about a lower seat (I don’t want to change the suspension set up and lose any travel off road) but off road it feels fine. It feels like a dirt bike honestly. The stock seat itself though needs to go … not comfortable for long hauls since the edges are very sharp and hard. Looking at replacing the seat cover or the whole seat but it is very $$.
11:00 that’s not a heads up display.
@@datacipher Haha! No it’s not. Did you keep watching? I was joking about my phone being in front of the clock. ⏰ Also thanks for watching an 8 year old video! Still love the Corolla iM but now drive a Tacoma Off Road. 👍🏼
How is that an unsafe pass? But then didn't stop at the stop sign :)
@@warrencurrie6454 Haha! The road leading to the stop sign is actually closed. Still a stop sign…lol
Super decent of the ranger to just give you a warning. That road can be nuts, especially mid-summer.
@@endurophutwick489 I don’t think it would stand up as a “dangerous pass” in court with all the video but he did walk away…not sure if the cameras helped change his mind though. Still, I agree - no ticket is a good way to end my day!

Yep 👍🏼
What do you reckon to the storm green street fighter
I almost bought the green … but all my Ducati’s have been red, because Ducati! 🤌🏼
that didn't seem unsafe to me
Totally safe. The officer with the glasses was being a dick. The other one smiled and almost laughed.
I think he saw your camera and realized you would have a good defence in court ….
He isn’t wrong though -I have had some close calls on that road
I agree ☝🏼
In this case I don’t really think I was dangerous at all. I took my time, waited for a down hill straight and had a full field a view. Also passed them one at a time at 40kph-60kph… (I honestly could have passed them all in one blast at over 100 and thought I was being super cautious. Lol).
@@streetsandpeaks3013100% agree .

Thank you so much for all your V2 content! I just bought a 2025 and your how to install videos are awesome
@@LosBlogos Congrats! Is the 2025 “the final edition”? What a great bike. As soon as they announced the new down powered V2 I knew this was the best choice in my budget. The V4 is nuts but for the price of a V4 I have my SFV2 and a dual sport 700. 👍🏼
@ I haven’t heard anything official if this is the last year but I knew I had to get one as the ride is unbelievable. I have a 2017 Ducati XDiavel S which is the best sport cruiser style in my opinion and is a monster if you want to bring it alive; I however wanted to get back to sportbike feel without having to completely lay down 😅. I 44 now and my 20-30s no issue but now the cockpit and feel of the Streetfighter platform is awesome! I think this coming season I will be most likely selling the XDiavel
@ Me too… only I am older! Haha There is a video about the set up. Tipping the bars forward was a great improvement for me and definitely check the suspension settings / front pre-load. 👍🏼
@ thx 😊
@ you have any tips in regards to taking small scratches out of the instrument screen. I was sanding in the shop a bit and wiped the dust off the instrument screen which made a a few small scratch lines when the lights hits hit a some angles. Stupid me 😣

I have a mt09 and want to upgrade to a v2 or v4. If money isnt an issue, which one do you think i should pick? I dont ride too fast, do you think v4 on wet mode is same as riding a v2? Also does v2 seat height feel lower than v4? Thanks
@@vancityismine908 All good questions - thanks for watching too. I rode the MT09 and think either is a massive step up (other than giving up having gas gauge, lol). With unlimited budget V4S all day!! At moderate speeds the win on the V4 is how much lower the engine revs and much less heat under seat compared to the V2. You will also find the quick shifter and low end torque unmatched in any bike! Seriously, I’ve ridden a lot of bikes and the SFV4 is top of my list now. I don’t use the rain mode here and instead prefer to customize the standard riding modes to add traction, wheelie control, ABS, limit engine power and engine braking mode. Pro-tip - the Ducati Engine Braking modes are dramatic!! Tune one road mode down for daily use but keep the engine power up. 👍🏼 The rain mode on the V2 is still more power than the Monster 937, lol. As to the seat height - didn’t notice any difference other than the engine fitting slimmer between the legs. Definitely a plus. Ducati also offers seat heights rather than adjusting suspension height straight away. Definitely test ride both if you can. I am curious what you think. Check the V4 comments here… it rocks.
Slick

I put 6k miles on my V2. Traded for a V4S this sunmer. Put 5k miles snd 2 track days on the V4S. The V4 is better in every way. Go into the settings and put it in full power mode. Race mode doesnt do that, is a mabual setting. The bike makes as much torque by 4k rpm as the V2 makes peak. Is a whole different animal. I felt the V4 though it feeks physically bigger, feels lighter to throw around. The forced wheels snd ohkins help with that. the absolute only things the V2 did better was comfort snd fuel economy. The V4 is better at kow speed. Smoother snd way more grunt. Its much faster. It handles WAY better eith kess effort snd feeks more sure footed. The switchgear js better. The brakes are astonishingly better. the screen and electronics are better. I loved my V2 but i dont miss it at sll.
@@charlesgutscher1923 I did set the full engine power up in the race mode in the shop before we pulled it out. 👍🏼 I am with you - it is better in every way (only doesn’t enjoy traffic at slow speeds). Pretty sure I will have one in the next couple years. Funny thing though - when I got back on the V2 my confidence was next level with the drop in power. Funny to say that at 153hp. Haha Thanks for watching . 👍🏼
@@streetsandpeaks3013 it's funny because I found my V4 easier to ride at slow speed. The V2 was so clunky. The V4S will just chug right along. I also have mine tuned and don't really remember much from when it wasn't. I did the Akrapovic slip on and OFT tune right after it's first service. Lol. I'm thinking of buying a panigale V2 for track days.
I bought mine because I love engines and exotic tech. The V4 is a motor I’ve never experienced and the counter rotating crank is something that excites me as an engineer. I’ve had 3 Ducati L-twins, so when it was time for a fourth, I had to go with the pinnacle of Ducati engineering. I still love how the rear shock is mounted on the V2 though, would have been door to have it on the V4S too.
@@hey_im_him The V4 is next level in every way … and you’re right, the counter rotating crank eliminates any rotational force on the throttle in corners. It rides surprisingly small for adding 60hp!!
😎
On your monster how did you run the cable cleanly from the USB port to your phone mount?
@@Joeyinbrooklyn I actually just ran it from under the seat - along the tank on the right side (I found I could push it in lightly between the panels.) 👍🏼

Hahahaha….. we can not help ourselves …. Finding more ways to spend money 😅😅 I am right behind you sir 😅😅😅 enjoy and ride safe … these toys put smile on our face
So true!! Haha Can we even put a price on that?? 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
I don't know, personally, I have to ride the v4. It may turn out that there is too much power. The v2 has a hole, but I've seen the dyno graphs and the torque is perfect on the stock exhaust. Maybe then the ride is smoother. I like the v2 but because of you I'm looking at the v4 again 😂
Fair warning!!! ⚠️ Once you ride it you can’t blame me for what happens next. Haha The V2 is great … the V4 is just more great! Haha
I’ve an SFV4s grey/nero. Best bike I’ve ever owned. With the electronic aids on you can confidently rip the throttle open and get to 280kmph with EASE and not be worried the front wheel will go skyward. Turn them down/off and it rivals the SDR and MT range for wheelie king. Incredible bike.
@@markholmes5695 nice! - the grey looks sick! I’m hoping to get out again and hit the 300 mark. 🤘🏼
@@streetsandpeaks3013 nice! Easily done. Just make sure tires are good for it, you’d not fair well if they burst 💥 😂
@@markholmes5695 I ran my Rosso 3 rear to the wire on my last Monster … close call! Then week one on the Rosso 4 rear I punctured and bought a Dunlop Q5S. 😂
@@streetsandpeaks3013 madness 😂 I’m trying something more sport touring. The Pirelli Angel GT 2’s. Want more mileage. I’ll sacrifice some edge grip for straight line longevity. I’m never going to bank the bike to 50 odd degrees in the road so the corsa 2’s it come with are wasted on me….also they don’t last too long
@@markholmes5695 agreed - 5000km max and I ride highway a lot so center patch is done well before the sides. My Dunlop was also faster in a straight line.
I currently have a 21 plate SF V4s and love it! I’m not sure if the 24 model electronics are different but on mine the lowest engine breaking is 3 not 1 and makes quite a difference
1 2 or 3 are pretty extreme. Took a while to get used to it, but, I love it now, I hardly ever use brakes coming bro corners.
@@v4rides51 Yes, I mixed that up. On my V2 Sport mode I have the Engine braking ramped up and in road I toned it down to double my daughter. 👍🏼
V4s is the way to go! Great bike and very smooth power delivery surprisingly
Thanks for watching. Couldn't agree more! I will do a proper follow up video soon - the comparisons across the board make the V4 more complete in more ways than I suspected before riding it. The level of finesse and quality in the V4 is at another level I didn’t know existing. This is the next bike on my list. #spoiler
I went from the V2 to the V4s and ill never look back.
😢
@@gocubs0011 Don’t tell my wife … but seriously thinking about it. Need a longer test ride though. Got close to my V2 top speed in 4th … lol 😂
@streetsandpeaks3013 lol. While I loved my v2, the v4 is on another level and all the bike I'll ever need. I do ride in traffic close to my house before I get to open road so sometimes I'll drop the bike down into road mode until I get out of traffic so slow speed riding isn't bad at al.
I really don't like this sporty position in v4 :/ I have the impression that it is bigger than v2
@@daruraruHi! Have you ridden the V4? It is actually only 5lbs heavier and 1cm longer. The funny thing is when you sit on it, it is noticeably narrower between your legs. There is something though about the center of balance - had to say but I think it is higher than the V2. I agree about the position - I would adjust the front fork and bars to sit a little more upright. 👍🏼 Thanks for watching.
Is that a brand spanking new bike, leaking oil?
It’s a demo that has been ridden all season. Turns out they knew it had a leak and thought it was fixed (likely from the oil cooler). Let’s just say - after the way I ride demo bikes - I wouldn’t buy any demo. 😂

Hi, May I know how many km u can ride further once you have fuel warning lights ?
@@TheMask2882 Hey - good question. Unfortunately my experience is that it totally depends on how fast you are riding. If you are pushing hard high revs the light comes on early and then if you slow down it can shut off. I ride pretty quick all the time so 215km was a stretch for me. The worst case I had I was empty at 160km. Ugh!! My advice - ride normally and then when the light comes on go right away and fill up. See how much gas you used and how much left to 16L. Hope that helps. Cheers!
@@streetsandpeaks3013 thanks for your reply. V2 is preety new to me about 2 months and I'm not able to understand this fueling yet. Your answer did help me. Thank you once again.

Question? Did your windscreen help on the freeway? Can you tell the difference with it? Thanks
Thanks for watching! And good question / the windscreen helps immensely!!! I still tuck down over 160kph but at speed the wind is channeled right over my helmet… and let’s face it, from there to 260kph you probably want your head down. Haha! I made another video about the screen - the one negative is I lost about 10kph in top speed with the screen and wings combined. 255 or 265 … still worth it to not get blown off my bike! 👍🏼

You don’t know what are you saying the SP is totally different than the Normal even the setup and the electronics have changed for the sp and it’s 2 kg lighter and with better and more killer brakes so don’t tell that’s not a front fork😎
I rode the two literally back to back to back the same day. The electronics / driving modes are identical. Have you ridden both? When you ride the SP there is no question it is a better ride and obviously more adjustable, but it is also unmistakably the same motor with the same tune. The real question in the end, is it worth the additional cost $$ to basically upgrade the ride on the same 937 Monster? Or if you watch the next video - are you better off spending a couple grand extra and getting on a Streetfighter V2 if you really want more performance. I said a ton of good things about the SP over the Monster Plus, but again - it’s thousands of dollars I feel are better spent on a bike with a more powerful motor like the V2. Thanks for watching… guessing you are an SP owner?
@@streetsandpeaks3013 i am and sp owner and there is a big difference and different tune for the electronics with the Ohlins on it and different with the basics if you go to but the extras and install it on the current 937 will cost you the same or even more now about the is it worth it nothing comes free in this life if you know the recipe give it to me also mate ✌️😎
I found it rather difficult to remove the battery. What did you use to pry the battery up and out of that cradle?
@@jean-frederickjacques6780 I didn’t pry it out - I just gave it a wiggle to make sure it was loose and then when you lift it out, tip the top towards yourself and it pops right out.
