    Great video, thanks! Love the horse & cart & the landing at the end! Very cool! I'd love to see a video about the 'scary situations' as a new flyer. Such as weak signal messages (what to do?), flying when you can't see your drone (behind a hill, mountain), in wind, using RTH when you can't see your drone, does RTH work if your signal is weak .... Thanks!

    Finally got my MA2 up in the air yesterday at a disused quarry. Old pit digs full of water and has been returned to nature....Frog heaven. Finding a site to practice flying has been a chore with all the council regulations. Being a newbie the learning curve is huge and have MA2 videos coming out my ears. Picked an open site ..set my landing pad....set my RTH elevation higher than the trees...did the vertical horizontal GPS thingo...pulled the sticks down and it burst into life ....left stick up and Im airborne.....OMG what now. Forward backward left right circles ...hey this is a walk in the park. Spent some time getting the muscle memory happening with the controls and tried the RTH function...did the gimbal down to view the pad and took over for a manual land. Did repeats on landing ...also did a few hand landings...pulling the stick down to kill the rotors. Epic....now Im a drone chronic lol Thx Carson nother gr88 vid.

    I have watched just about all your videos on the mavic air 2 super helpful and useful information about the drone and flying tips in general thanks for all the great videos I feel more comfortable flying and now more knowledgeable about my new mavic air 2 money well spent

    Thanks for explaining all that! There were some videos that couldn't simply explain that you have to draw a box around the subject in order to ACTIVATE the follow me mode. I was going crazy looking through tabs for a follow me menu.

    I'm a noobie pilot having just bought a DJI Mavic Air 2 and so far I believe I made the right choice. Your presentations are great, they could be made better by being cognizant of the screen angle. In moderately bright sunlight it's hard to see the screen icons. Just my $.02.

    Love the youthful exuberance and also plenty of great information. Glad to see a helmet being worn during skateboard rides. I think it should be noted that when the drone kept up with him at a pretty high speed in the car, it was in Sport mode. Can't wait to get mine up in the air tomorrow morning.

    An important note about the Active Tracking mode while runnin in parallel, the drone has no sensors at sides, so if you flight it paralel to you (not as in the video where it is behind even when you have selected parallel) it can crash.

      Actually, I wrote the previous comment 30s too soon. In the end you said that you have to send the drone back... if you spend this much time producing this much content for DJI you should get a ten pack of these drones for free. So, DJI, I know you're watching, you know what to do.

    Great tutorial. Can you set the radius on the quickshots. And on POI, can I keep it at say 15 feet and 15 foot radius? Since obstacle avoidance doesn’t work when it is going sideways, where I am planning on shooting has a trees, so not a lot of room to work with. Need to keep it low and short radius?

  • @BC-yw2tw
    @BC-yw2tw 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Enjoyed your video. Parallel mode is the weak one as there are no side sensors so it usually tracks behind you but off to the side. If you were coming up to trees or poles look out as chances are you will be hoping you bought the Refresh insurance because you will collide. Thanks.

    • @carsonmtech
      @carsonmtech  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      BC, I hadn’t thought of that one why it tends to keep behind the subject but still next to at the same time, makes sense though. I’m sure the Mavic 2 Pro would keep to the side very well without having to like keep behind the subject. I’m glad you enjoyed the video!

    I got this DJI Mavic Air 2 for my 30th birthday as a gift to myself two months ago but have only used it for 10 minutes once on a road trip. I really want to use it for running in the woods. Which mode would you recommend for following me in the woods running a 5k in 20 minutes? Would it be safe to have it follow me for 5 kilometers by itself while I run? I ask because of trees and what not. Thank you and great video

    Really like your videos, keep up the good work. I am really conceding buying the Mavic Air 2. I have been watching numerous videos and reviews. My question is dose the obstacle avoidance just go up and over an object or will it go around like a pole or tall skinny object.

    I watched few videos about the function of Qucikshot on Air 2 by other youtubers. Your video clearly explained the difference amongst "activite track mode", "spotlight mode" and "poi mode" with good demos. I am surprised the drone can able to trace vehicle upto 40mph in open area. Before watching your video, I still confused with those modes now I am well understood. Thank you for your hardwork.
    It would be great if you could discuss how to un-lock the height restriction limits in coming videos. It seems the market still without codes specific for "air 2" at present (2021 spring) yet!

  • @mikejohnson8792
    @mikejohnson8792 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Question? When you got the active track to work on the ground, was the drone propellers operating. I mean I guess, was it in take off status? Tried to get the active track to work on my mavic air 2 while on and sitting on the table, all I could get it to do was auto focus. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for the vids! 👍

      I just record it via the built in iPhone screen recorder app. In post (editing), I overlay a iPhone 11 vector image outline and use that to simulate the look of the phone. Finally, I use a plugin for Final Cut Pro to add in the taps through their pack “mTuber”

The Air 2 does a great job at tracking your movements, the Skydio 2 would have managed to find the power line and crash into them somehow, then the company would say there are power lines in your state, we can't warranty it. 🤣
