Just like everything in life, better equals expensive..... Sort of. I have been going down the music recording rabbit hole. I found that if you get a really good mic from the start, you spend less effort clean/fixing bad audio. I will say it is worth your time to start with an audio interface and XLR mics. When you get multiple mics involved, you will thank yourself later.

Are Ribbon dynamic microphones good or are they to sensitive? What about the brand Sontronics microphones?
What mic are you recording on in this video? I think it's the one one your shirt, right? What's that mic?
