- My goal is to see as many states in the United States and to do that I travel by van which is my home on wheels. I live in a van full-time. My ultimate goal is to visit as many countries as possible outside of the US and to do that I fly. I go from vanlifer to a nomad. On this channel, you get a mix of everything you get full-time vanlife, and you get a nomad(me) who travels by air land and sea. My life is unpredictable and adventurous.

I love what you said at the end. We all need to learn to love being by ourselves. Sometimes being by yourself is some of the best peace you could ever have. I love sitting by myself and just talking to God or just sit and write in my journal to get all of my thoughts out on paper. You are so right when you said as long as you have God, you are never alone. Enjoy your trip and have a blessed holiday.

I absolutely can relate to your lifestyle... I've always been an introvert... people would say to me... 'You are by yourself' my answer no, "im with myself."😊 I'm in good company... it took me years to be okay with me... it's nice to see a young person who has embraced the part of themselves 😊 that does not flow with the mass necessarily...

Amen Sis!!!! I have no problem going places by myself and occasionally with others but at heart I'm an introvert. I think even Jesus was somewhat introverted. His personna drew people to Him but he often went to quiet places alone to speak with God. He never solicited a crowd for attention but His character drew people to Himself ♥I strive to be like Jesus.. and can relate somewhat.

I find, if eating alone, by sitting by a window is a great distraction from what is going on inside, it gives you the opportunity for distraction.
I am so proud of you eating inside the restaurant😊❤ It can feel awkward at first but it's not so bad.
I took a solo trip to Chicago a few years back and it was fantastic. I went on a food tour, visited a museum, went to a show and just enjoyed the city. It was an amazing experience. Enjoy your time! Happy holidays.

When I lived in Northern California I dined alone in restaurants a lot. I got into the habit of taking a book, newspaper, something to read.

Make sure you try to visit Millennium Park The Bean) and try to go to Cindy's on 12 South Michigan AVe. Cindy's has a roof top bar that you can go up for free to see the view and you can get a little something to drink or eat but it is breathtaking! Last time we went they had a bouncer taking people in groups up the elevator. We also went to eat in Little Italy, so damn good!!

I'm not into cities and city views but I'm enjoying that you enjoy it. I used to love city views, then I moved to the country many years ago, and now I love only the forest, ocean, river, beautiful desert and mountain views. I got some acreage and I'm surrounded by gorgeous oak trees. Moving to the country changed me. Peace & quiet, wild deer and other animals, my dogs & cats, now reign Supreme in my life but it's fun seeing places like Chicago through your eyes. I'm a happy introvert, too, and I never feel alone because God & Jesus are always with me and my rescue dogs and cats.

Lou Malnati's or Pizza Uno are popular for deep dish. I, too, prefer thin crust, and it will rival NY too! Cut in squares usually, not triangles. 😋

I lived in Chicago for the first 50 + years of my life. I love deep dish pizza. That thick layer of sausage gives me life. I eat it with a fork and knife and ignore the stares. When I come back home, I always get some and Portillos too. I will say this…..I am a tourist when I come back because so much has changed and continues to change. I ❤Chicago. Nomi have the best time ever.

Giordanos is famous all over the country. My son goes there when he is in Chicago. He said you have to wait an hour for your pizza. For Christmas 2 years ago my son had 2 of their pizzas sent to us in Ohio. They packed them in dry ice.

I eat out alone alot it doesn't bother me, my husband doesn't really like to go out... I do go with friends sometimes. I even go shopping alone which I prefer because I can look at what I want.

As an introvert myself I truly understand the need to be alone. I like to eat at home. Sometimes being around a crowd of other people’s energy can be draining. I always have people walking up to me telling me their problems. People really take to me and tell me I have a strong peaceful energy. I am very humble but I love being alone.
