Today, I played through the most expensive game on Steam, The Hidden And The Unknown. The game was listed at $2000 and was later taken down for reasons that will become very clear.
I also decided to dig deeper into the company, ProX, and its founder to see if this game was always meant to be a scam or not.
I don't agree with everything in the video, but regardless, I wish you luck. Albeit you didn't actually find all the crumbs, you did do more research than most of the *famous* media when it came out, and if you continue doing so, your channel could keep growing. To any commenters, the game was more of an experiment than anything else, it was never meant to be a long-term project so don't ask me about it, the train has passed.

I recognize the engine The Hidden and The Unknown uses
it's called Ren'Py and I immediately recognized it by the stock settings menu that the engine creates for you whenever you make a new project in the engine.

Fun video! It's such a weird rabbit hole what is really behind these weird ass games. And I honestly think those goobers were lying to you a lot, mixed in with a little bit of truth. Someone offering him 500K was either a scammer or he made it up. I'm going for the latter.
I think you summed up what he wanted to do and how he failed really well. So many things the goober said doesnt make sense. I think he just doesnt want to admit how much he has failed so he just goes into the troll/coping mode of being defensive or saying he just doesnt care.

The man's simply pretentious and seek attention, it was obvious from the moment he mentioned proper investigation. Investigate what? Shitty game, some meaningless websites (probably made with free services, if not, lol, imagine spending money on this), and bunch of red herrings to satiate his ego. In the end it didn't work out, so he pretends to not care, which is even funnier considering how willingly he responds and hints at something, that requires "proper" investigation.
Also making content out of nowhere isn't good, but at least it's funny to see failed influencer wannabe envy youtuber who makes average videos.
deadass reminds me of those tryhards that make garbage content and say "no its an ARG" to justify their lack of talent. except here it seems like a scam artist with an ego trying so hard no to seem like a scam artist because everything that doesn't work out is an "experiment" with "bread crumbs"

You're a lot milder than I predicted, just saying that it "reeks of sexism" and that you feel there is some annoyance that you pirated the game, you're not saying he's a nazi leader, but I still don't get why you had to censor the line.
TH-cam is VERY strict with that word. It’s probably best to not take the risk of putting it in a video tbh. It may have been for the sake of TH-cams censorship sensitivity rather than their own sensitivity
