As a programmer i can say. this isnt special. Valve just sucks ass with web development. you can edit the requests you do to them and they have like no error handling or anything
They dont suck ass they just dont bother fixing stuff that doesnt interfere with the cash flow, thats why skins related stuff only breaks like once or twice per year meanwhile steam still has some of these ancient bugs from 3 decades ago that hurt no one
I'm studying web development so this got me interested; how would you be able to change the requests to steam so that it isn't only visible locally for you but for everyone who visits your profle? Could you give some pointers on what I could google to look this up?
Is it by using the webRequest api or some sort of CSRF?
@@djolo5140 that's not the only reason, steam runs in a really outdated and messy code, written by ppl that don't work at valve no more. If anyone tries to change anything on steam's code to fix a bug or two, they'll create 100 more, so they just leave it as it is

I just love how you can tell he is finish from his first sentence. He is talking about one of the cooles profiles around and tells it like it would be the most normal thing to have.
I don't think he is Finnish , but actually Norwegian. It is hard to tell, but I would say his speech flows a bit more than most Finnish people since they tend to speak a bit more staccato. If he is not Norwegian he is probably from somewhere in Northern Europe.

Valve is known to pay on the lighter side for bug bounties, no matter the severity. Pretty sure they stopped giving cash bug bounties to Team Fortress 2 bug hunters, awarding the Finder's Fee hat instead. The Steam to Smart2Pay exploit that allowed for infinite Steam funds to be generated was reported & the guy only got paid $7500 USD.
why would anyone report that sort of exploit in the system, like unlimited steam funds. You could legit be buying skins off the market selling them off for real cash easy
