I mean, yeah Visual Novels are pretty much dialogue, picking and option and just... Reading, I would know, I love them. They're pretty fun if you're into that genre (yeah it still counts as a game) but is definitely not for everyone.
It's paradoxical how these games get released commercially when there are better games made by Japanese students for game dev competitions and they're free.
It's really irritating to watch youtube videos cuz when I don't need it the download button at the top of the video appears and then when I need it it's not there.
Comparing these to the newer free games I played through is ridiculous. Banana cowboy:Nice cute mini platformer. Indigo Park:Mascot horror with a cute ai Raccoon. Doronko Wanko:Adorable dog chaos. One of them is Bandai,One from a youtuber,But the Banana cowboy one is just a random game dev. These show that most games on steam are generally so overpriced for the trash flip most of them are.
As a game developer, these videos fill me with hope that "Yeah, my game is amazing!" But also fills me with immense sadness realizing this garbage makes more money than my games ever will.
Every game in this video had less than 10 peak active players at one singular time. Even if they have multiple reviews, many were from free keys or were refunded soon after. Some games do make more money despite being absolute shit but that’s usually because they either market themselves correctly or exploit a system. In my opinion, ignore any game like these and focus on making your own game as good as it can be. Market it efficiently, dedicate yourself to it, don’t bite off more than you can chew and make sure not to undervalue or overvalue your own work. In the end, all that should matter to you is yourself and the fans/players you do gain. Take a look at my channel for example. Other creators bang out videos in less than a day with no effort and get 100x the views I do but I don’t care about them and focused on myself. I probably would still be stuck at 100 subscribers had I focused too hard on other peoples success instead of working on my own. TLDR: Don’t worry about what others achieved. All you should be focusing on is achieving your own success.
Great games to gift to your buddies or random people who beat you in PvP game. You get a cheap laugh and they get a free game with potentially a crypto miner as a bonus!
SEAL WORLD MENTIONED RAHHHHH
cecily town? more like: the silly town
More like Bore Ragnarock
8:46 visual novels kinda just do that for reasons beyond our mortal comprehension.
Typically you can skip through dialogue you've already read.
Most Visual Novels engines have a skip dialogue function by default. (Assuming you already read the dialogue)
It's actually more work to not have one.
11:30 I’m not sure this is what Epic intended MetaHuman to be used for 💀
what are you talking about, a game where the guards lock on to your companion is game of the year
finally a good small channel that youtube has recommended to me, really good work brother, the script for this video is really well written too
That first game literally uses the Diablo III health and class resource HUD elements

Yeah although it being 7 bucks when WAY better novels exist for free kinda sucks. Do hope for the dev to get better at it though!

It’s usually since they’re all self published. With Steam, if someone wants to upload a game, they can upload a game.
As the head of an indie studio myself, I hate these people. They make my job significantly harder.

I'm working solo on a game and I think I know exactly what to price my game XD
Shteve's bank must think someone has stolen his account which is why he keeps paying for these trash games.
They did block one charge in the past 😭 but after I confirmed it was me it’s been all clear so far.
greetings, how can i send my game to you for review?
😭
you should be ban if you made a game that is this type of bad (im referring to the games in this video)
Most times good developers start bad orrr suck and that was most of these
Ngl you should buy a used 3ds and mario kart 7
I used to have one but I hardly ever played it.
oh shid new ironpinapple content with that elden ring bootleg lmfao

can u review stardew valley plz
It’s already popular and I try to stick to lowkey games. Also, not really my type of game so my personal bias would ruin the review 😭
