    Extremely helpful - got it done today! Also put Maxima oil in, and it seems to be shifting much better. Not sure what the previous owner ran in it. I'm tempted to try Rotella T4 next year.

    People don't realize how important tourqe specs are on aluminum cases like this you can strip them out in a hurry if you just crank on them.

    The 10mm bolt broke on mine. Do you know the exact dimensions for the 10mm bolt?

      No, I don't know the size or pitch. But, I believe that this is the part num 27409-38FC0. Hope that helps.

    i do have a question could a non-serviced rear and front differential cause the quad to jump in gear or cause it to be tough to go in gear from park to High and Low i recently go on and it needs some servicing. Help

      I don't think so, but anything is possible. Get it off the tires, and check for the binding. Check-in neutral (not in 4x4) to see if there is any binding or grinding noise. If none put it in the park (not 4x4) and manually rotate the tire to see if it pops or grinds. If there is a noise check both front and rear diffs, if none check the transmissions for noise or see if pop out of gear or hard to shift. I think that will clear out any ideas of the diffs to be the problem. I think it is a transmission issue, I can't remember if it has an adjustable lever for the selector and linkage. At the linkage attach point on the transmission disconnect it and see if the lever moves freely, if binding or sloppy it could be the selector to the transmission or internal in the transmission. I'm sorry I can't help more, I'm just going off of memory from when we found the lever in the transmission failed and was worn out. Sorry for the late reply, just got back into town to access my account. let me know if you need any more ideas.

    As for the rear diff breather, do I need to vent it higher up if I’m going to be going in water or is it water proof?

    • @jetzombie
      @jetzombie  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Anytime water goes above the axle just check the oil through fill port. Then, I would relocate the breather inlet above by the seat.

      @@jetzombie thanks, I wasn’t quite sure but now I’ve relocated the front and rear diff breather the rear being under the seat and the front vented into the cvt in

    Does it take limited slip gl-5?

    • @jetzombie
      @jetzombie  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, non limited-slip differentials hypoid gears. API GL-5 oils can be used in limited slip differentials only if they correspond to the requirements of specification MIL-L-2105D or ZF TE-ML-05. In this case the designation of class will be another, for example API GL-5+ or API GL-5 LS.
