Found a tossed out HP All in One, with the Athlon Silver. Can the Silver be upgraded to a Gold version CPU? Thank you Does it use a charger similar to one for an HP laptop? What is the latest Win OS it can run (maybe with added RAM)?
@@ComputerStuff not sure how much faster the Gold Athlon is compared to the Silver. Think the only way to upgrade to Gold is to replace the mobo with an Athlon Gold . Also discovered while testing it, it only works with a genuine HP power supply! But it does work! As a kind of hobby I look for electronics in dumpsters and curbside stuff!

well i have the same computer and its not coming on like the power button is one but no display just a black screen and then when i turn it on it just beeps very loud
I'd recommend Lenovo. Despite liking some of HPs recent products, I have a hard time trusting them in general. Build quality and customer support for Lenovo will likely be superior.
Will it work with light gaming when its not very cpu intensive? I’ve found a similar with amd ryzen 5625u with amd Radeon would that work for light gaming

I have 1 question. Can I game on it ? Just the basics, not looking for a 4k 120 fps gtx experience, just run the ordinary game. Gaming pcs are way too expensive for my budget 😂
That's a tough call. You can do some gaming on here on low - medium settings but playing AAA titles its going to choke up a bit. It's worth trying - report back to us, please!
@@ComputerStuff so I downloaded the EA app and most games that I played worked great titles like lost in random and a way out. But I originally had the Xbox pc app and the games were having trouble opening idk if it was error on my part or the computer was just having problems with loading it but like I said games played through the EA app worked fine

So rather then assumed you lied because you are incompitent i assumed it was because you are new.......Since speaker branding does mean something.....it means the speakers are made to a certain quality level set by AKG or harmon kardon.....which means you wont get lil tiny speakers that sound absolutely horrible.......instead you get tiny speakers that sound ok and some are quite good.
Youngin'. I was cruisin' with computers before you were in diapers! One with experience in the tech world would know that one of the biggest gimmicks in PC manufacturing is speaker branding. That is to say, every time we review a computer with "HARMON KARDON 🍆💦" - they are jankier than your used Honda Civic.

It can not be upgraded. Win 10 would be max I'd put on it and add as much RAM as you can. Athlon Silver is not the fastest in the world.

Yes, definitely! Obviously it's not mobile to take around to class, but it would be great as a productivity / college computer.

I just opened up one of these……..cracked the screen, it’s now junk, unfortunately to upgrade the ram you have to dismantle it
