  • My unboxing and review of the HP 24 dp-0224 series all-in-one PC!
    This is my unboxing and review of the HP 24 dp-0224 series all-in-one computer. From the Ryzen processor to the whopping 1TB of fast-moving SSD storage, this machine packs a pretty big punch! Retractable/hidden webcam included as a nice extra feature for your security and privacy. Check out the video, I think you'll agree it's a great little computer for the average consumer!
    This HP 24" all-in-one is a solid PC for the price point. I highly recommend it, great value for the money! This is a hot-selling PC. If not available, any of these HP 24 d-series all-in-one computers are going to give you comparable performance at this price point. Enjoy!

      Thanks for your comment. I've had a lot of people say the same thing, they want the 27 inch. All things being equal, if the price is worth the extra three inches of screen space, I say go for it. They are good quality All in One machines and you'll be happy!

      I would have recommended an extended warranty for that reason. They don't make computers the way they used to. I've bought 2 brand new PC's fresh from the warehouse...one worked like a champ, the other wouldn't stay on for more than 20 seconds. It happens with ALL computers. Sometimes you just get lucky. That's why the extended warranty, as well as a reliable backup, is critical with any purchase :(

      As a TH-cam creator, I can say you absolutely can use this to do those things. Naturally, if you need faster editing (editing large 4k videos, for example), you probably should scale up with a different PC. For average editing, it'll work beautifully :)

    • @AskYourComputerGuy
      @AskYourComputerGuy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Anytime you get a message about your operating system when you turn the computer on, it either means that you have a hard drive that is failing and the system cannot read it and thereby load the Windows operating system, or there is something wrong with your Windows operating system. That could be corrupted files, a virus or a handful of other things. I would reach out to a local repair tech and have them reinstall Windows on that drive assuming that it is still good, and then you should be back up and running

    I looked at the HP in a couple of the other all-in-ones and decided that it didn't make sense financially to replace everything to replace a PC. I have cameras, keyboards, mice, etc better than what the HP includes. It was much easy for me to find a 24" 1920 x 1080p fast refresh monitor, a right-sized NUC-size PC with Windows 11 Pro, 16GB RA , 512gb SSD and a slot for 2TB more SSD. The NUC is sitting on my desk, but it could mount on the monitor. I don't keep much data locally. Most of my data in cloud storage and everything is backed up there. I have no confidence in consumer HDDs; I spent 40 year supporting PC and they had more HDDs fail than anything else. For $350 I got everything needed for a good business PC.
    btw, What's state of the consumer art in Windows hardware is so far beyond what most people need to do anything useful that it's disgusting - and expensive. The money wasted on overspec'd toys will be missed when players get to retirement and haven't the money to afford living, healthcare and playing.

    Question, when I start up the desktop I have a problem where the screen just flickers on and off. And all the things are working correctly, like the sounds are working fine, the "display" is working, everything is running its just the screen flickers and goes black.
    How can I fix that? I tried hard resetting but even in the recovery window its all blackened and flickering.

    • @AskYourComputerGuy
      @AskYourComputerGuy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That usually happens when a driver is being updated. It's a little unusual for it to happen during normal operation unless there is a heavy load on the graphics card, like perhaps when you're playing a game at max resolution or something. I would check for the latest video driver and see if it persists after that.

      You should have an option to select "I don't have internet" and just continue. You can try to connect to wifi after setup is complete. This is not an issue with this particular machine, that is a Microsoft problem. Worst case, restart the machine and find the option for system recovery, which should start you over from "brand-new".
