The ACER Aspire C27 is a super thin, light weight, edge to edge all in one with powerful internals and a minimalist aesthetic.
Our review unit had:
- 12GB DDR4 RAM
- 512GB NVMe Drive (upgradable)
- Intel i5 10th Generation
- GeForce MX130 2GB
Price is $850 as configured.
Features
It's a fast computer with Intel Optane support and a lot of horsepower under the hood. GeForce MX130 graphics card makes this thing a capable computer for both medium gaming as well as video editing. The catch? No USB-C support. A glaring mis-step from ACER, they should have included a USB-C port on a computer of this caliber. It's equipped with an engine useful for video and RAW photo editing so you'd think a USB C would be an obvious choice for those needing to expand storage or use an external scratch disk.
Comes with a built in webcam which is adequate but nothing to write home about, and the speakers are in the same boat.
Display
It's a 27" Edge to Edge LED Full High Definition Non-Touch Screen. No touchscreen doesn't bother me, but I wish it had a higher resolution display. FHD is beginning to look outdated in 27" computers, and considering Apple has been shipping with 5K screens for years now (albeit more expensive computers). That said it's a good panel with deep blacks and cool whites and not a lot of backlight washing.

Who is it for?
Those looking for a big screen and lots of horsepower. Photoshop editors will enjoy. Those needing an economically priced AIO who need power but want to break the bank.

Do I recommend?
It's a good computer albeit a couple of quirks I wish ACER addressed. I like the machine, its well built, upgradable, and should prove a powerful and reliable ally to your computing needs.

Hello. Tks for the video ! I’ve bought this computer and it is really powerfull. Just one problem and disappointment : the webcam quality is just bad ! I cannot go up to 1080p with the windows 10 adjustments. The max is 720 and the quality is really mediocre... I had to buy an usb cam 😩 and it works 👎

Absolutely! You could make some gnarly looking websites on this thing, no problem. It's fast and comes with a good size screen.

I'd go with the C27 personally. I like the bigger screen, it helps you hone in on details and focus a bit more even though the resolutions are the same. If you have the desk space, go bigger!

Not necessarily, no. But a lot of these machines use parts bin cameras so likely they wont be great.

Already installed. Almost all ACERs are coming with NVMe drives already installed.
I have 2 questions hopefully you answer but 1. do you actually need a pc box to turn this on or does it work like an iMac and .2 can you play fortnite on this or some other games

This machine only supports HDMI Out - you can not use your PS4 with this acting as a monitor.

Are there any hardware downsides?
From a reliability standpoint, no. We've sold a ton of these ACERs and I can't recall a single one coming back for serious issues. Great all in one. May not have all the bells and whistles as some more expensive ones and some don't have USB-C but otherwise great machine.

No, I dont believe these speakers are B&O. They would be generic parts bin speakers (nothing fancy). For what it's worth, most speakers in computers that are advertised as B&O, Beats, etc. tend to be a marketing push more than they are good speakers. In other words, just because they are branded as fancy speakers, doesn't mean you'll get good audio quality!

You're right... and how would you expect to see such display quality while viewing it through your computers display?! You can't. Same reason I don't do speaker tests.

Will the pc run csgo
Only Full-HD looks not good on such a huge screen.
No doubt, 2k and up is better on a big screen, but we're spoiled by retina screens these days. Not but a few years ago FHD on 27" screens was a very common thing. I'm not saying higher res screens shouldn't become the standard, but we're demo'ing a new model of this ACER and even with FHD the screen is decent quality.

I recently looked at Apple's new imac with their own M1 Chip, total bullshit. Intel chip is still far superior. I think Apple did this so you can no longer Boot camp Windows on to their machines. also upgrading in new Imac is impossible, since it's all on intergraded logic board, mostly. So it's a no brainer, Yes the New imac graphics is hard to beat, but look at the cost, wow! Apples base machine is $1299 and you get nothin!! a bullshit key board and the old style mouse, never been upgraded. I bought this machine on Amazon for $699, and all I can say is wow!. hard to find the specs at the same price point, all in a light 27 inch frame, just do it!, F--k Apple

The thing i dont like is a principle, they say its thin yea... but at the bottom theres a big fat bit🤣 so yea the top bit is thin, but the ass of this pc is pretty fatt init. Uhh yea its abit of a scam to say the pc is thin. I would call it a fat pc with a thin top
Haha, she thicc at the bottom. It's true, same w iMac and most other AIOs they stuff all the guts into one area and it protrudes.. that said its a very thin and light profile overall. We have older clients that can pick this thing up w one hand.
